Amazing! I can finally say we found our haircut home after many different experiences. Anne Marie's vibe was very calm & grounding and immediately put my autistic daughter at ease. It was the first time she sat in the chair happily by herself and was very content the whole time. You'd never know that Anne Marie was working on a monster of a knot that I couldn't get untangled for weeks. It was her best haircut experience by a 1000%. Highly recommend - especially for parents with kids with sensitivities. We'll be back. read more

Worst haircut place ever. My children all got bowl cuts, dirty disgusting haircuts, shave into ears, cut into scalp, very messy. Vibe is fine. read more

This is one of our favorite places for kids' haircuts. Anna Marie has been cutting my son's hair for the past eight years. She gave him his very first haircut. We truly like everyone here, but Anna Marie is the one who has cut his hair most often over the years. We have always been very satisfied with the service and appreciate how kind, professional, and welcoming everyone is. Highly recommended! read more

Very unfriendly until you are about to pay. Stylist (I believe one of the owners) seemed burned out. Cranky and frustrated. Will never go back. $36 for 20 minutes of rolling her eyes because daughters hair was knotty. read more

I had Anne Marie cut my hair. I wanted short face framing layers and she did a great job. My hair is so shiny, cut beautifully, and the hair dressers know what they're doing. Thank you Anne Marie!!! read more

My son with special needs has been getting his cut by Tracy for years and years, and she is a magician. Truly--she is kind, patient, skilled, and quick, and my son actually loves getting his hair cut by her. In fact, she does such an excellent job that my husband starting getting his hair cut by her as well! All the stars for Tracy and for the lovely ladies who work at the salon, a friendly place with calming vibe. read more

Booking online is a plus, requires credit card. Not what I expected inside...it's pretty loud and chaotic with lots of stuff everywhere. Stylists just plop the kids down and lay iPads in their laps. No introductions or interaction with the kids at all. Our stylist wasn't super friendly. Overall does not feel fun or compassionate for the kids. Just getting them in and out whereas even I like to talk with my stylist a bit. On the plus side my kid didn't cry! read more

We've been to this Snipz location several times and each time, we've had a very positive experience! Our boy started out extremely anxious (I mean, kicking and screaming), but these ladies handled it like professionals that they were. Now that our boy's a lil older, he's doing much better when it comes to haircut time! It helps that we didn't give up and kept coming because they did an excellent job too! Warm and friendly, great cut, and my kiddo enjoys picking out his prize afterwards! read more

I've been taking both my son and daughter over to see AnnMarie and Tracy since we moved to Marin about 3 years ago. My son has ADHD and is also super squirmy in the seat and often doesn't listen to instruction and moves suddenly. AnnMarie is an absolute saint. She treats him with so much love, patience and compassion, you'd think he was hers and he's rewarded her by becoming more trusting and calmer over time. Tracy is a gem too and my daughter loves her time with her. She is the braiding queen. Love these two and wouldn't trade them for the world. read more

I couldn't say more positive things about Snipz Salons Novato. As an adult, I've had my haircuts by Tracy for years...she gets it spot on! I've also made life-long clients of my daughter, two granddaughters, friends in Marin and even an East Bay friend who drives over for her cuts! Tracy pays close attention to what each person needs and wants and responds accordingly. And Ann Marie always gives good ideas on styling and cuts. They make an incredible team and always go the extra mile! And need I mention the incredible patience and calm that each exhibits in dealing with children of all ages and stages? Fabulous indeed. read more

I've been to many other kids hair salons in Marin and Snipz is by far the best in terms of quality, customer service and a kid-friendly environment! Tracy has been cutting my son and daughter's hair for years ever since they were 2 years old and they (including me) absolutely love her. Tracy has the perfect amount of silliness, wit and warmth and my son always leaves looking so handsome. We always get compliments on his hair. Anne Marie recently cut my daughter's hair and she was equally wonderful. She styled my daughter's hair with cute little braids and bows and it was such a fun, positive experience for my daughter! I highly recommend Snipz to anyone looking for a great kid-friendly haircut by some real pros. read more

I have been taking both my kids girl and boy to Snipz for close to 3 years now and I have always been impressed by the quality , value and customer service. Both Anne Marie and Tracy have been excellent- meaning they do a great job with the haircut itself, they communicate with me as well as with my kids during the process, and they each have an excellent attitude dealing with the workload/ parents/ walk-ins/ unpredictability of cutting childrens hair! The salon is clean and has a nice waiting area with toys for the kids. Ive only had good experiences each time with my appointments and walk-ins. Highly recommended! read more

I've tried Snipz and the various staff over the past 5ish years with my kids who each have very different hair. The haircuts are okay, but I think there are better places with more friendly staff. Snipz is convenient in a pinch but I'm surprised by some of the rave reviews. read more

This review is long overdue. This gem of a salon has given my kids the ONLY haircuts not ending in tears. (Note: If that sound like a low bar, consider yourself very fortunate.) My little man was used to home COVID cuts and was terrified when we showed up at Snipz's front door. These ladies know all the tricks to distract/redirect/encourage and the patience and humor to make it look fun. My daughter was an easier customer in terms of temper tantrums but more picky style-wise and a little bit shy her first couple cuts. Holy moly do these ladies know how to make her feel fancy and pampered and all grown up! Long story short (too late) my kids consider a trip to Snipz a fun outing and come out feeling confident and oh so happy! I could not recommend the experience, service and end results more emphatically!! read more

Our family have been coming here for years. 2 out of my 3 children have had their hair cut here (usually by Tracy) and my wife an I appreciate the friendly, clean atmosphere, demeanor of the stylists and the location is awesome with a TON of parking available. My youngest loves getting 'Bling Strings" (thin ribbon of colored foil string) done with her hair and I think it's a really cute touch that they offer. Everytime my youngest get her hair cut its a no tears event (amazing!) and she looks awesome every time! She always get compliments after a snipz visit. Tracy and my wife have developed a nice relationship and we love to come in and chat while getting a haircut. I'm really glad that a specialized business like this is around in the neighborhood and wish them all the best success in their endeavours! read more

We haven't had the best experience getting my 3 yr old a hair cut. Since the first hair cut when he was 10 months old, its been a scary process for my toodler. But since going to Snipz in Novato a few months ago, its been a game changer. We havn't stopped going. My kid has a lot of thick hair that grows fast. We have had 3 appointments since November and everytime my 3 year old loves it. The enviroment is kid friendly, their staff are sweet and friendly. Their toys are age appropiate and the ipads help during the hair cut process. My toodler used to cry at the sound of the clippers, but that is no longer the case. Tracy and the rest of the staff have helped my toodler getting his hair but, now we look forward getting haircuts. 100% recommend taking your kid here, especially if its their first time or have a fear of clippers. read more

Just took our 2 year old son in for his first hair cut and (literally to our surprise) it went really well! No tears! Everything about the Snipz in Novato is geared towards helping toddlers not hate their haircuts. Honestly, I remember hating getting my haircut growing up, but if I had gone here, I doubt I would have felt that way. They have a great lobby set up with toys, great vibrant color schemes, and and open floor plan. A lollipop at the end is fab because he could see other kids eating them on their way out so he was motivated to get one. Their chairs are genius--looks similar to a high chair but less restrictive and has an iPad stand. My son got to choose what to watch (monster trucks, classic) and could change videos if he wanted something else. He wriggled a bit but mostly sat through the whole thing! Our stylist, Christina was so good with him. She was flexible based on his needs, used words he would understand (ie calling the hairdryer the "wind"), and clearly genuinely cared about his experience. And his hair looked great after! We'll definitely be making this our regular haircut place! Good luck to all the toddler parents out there! read more

The team is very good, very gentle and attentive. My younger sister had her first haircut in this place and the experience was very satisfying. read more

Why is it that the most miserable people choose to work with children and spread their joylessness and misery through them? The team is terrible - never on time, doesn't acknowledge their customers, never shares a smile. There are plenty of other high quality hair salons for kids in Marin - avoid this one. read more

Great hair cut despite the super busy back to school rush. Great stylists. Fun vibe For the kids.

Our first time here it was so clean they sanitized all equipments in between client while we waited outside. I didn't have an appointment but They are welcoming us inside right away. Staffs are really friendly my boy is watching iPad while getting his cool haircut it only took less than 30 mins. We will definitely come back. read more

Great haircut. Easy parking and no waiting. Tracy was wonderful too! So happy to have found them - they make my life easier, and better - at a price I can afford. A MILLION THANKS! read more

Anne Marie did such an amazing job today with daughter's first haircut! My kiddo's hair gets tangled, and she didn't complain once as Anne Marie combed it. Anne Marie was super patient and kind. And my daughter's hair looks great. read more

My kids are autistic, and the staff are friendly and supportive. A good vibe here. Thank you!!

Hannah did a fantastic job on my sons hair! It was only his second haircut and she was very patient and gentle. His hair is tough due to the texture and it being white/blonde but she took the time to blend it to make it look perfect. Will be coming back :) read more

Great with kids and very friendly. I always take my son here. He has been going here for a couple years now

Great spot for kids haircuts! They have tablets to distract them and a treat at the end of the cut (lollipop or token to the toy machine). I've been super impressed by their ability to quickly cut a wiggly toddlers hair! read more

Thank you Hannah for the amazing pixie cut for my daughter today. She loves it!

I wanted to love this place-- it's so convenient and easy to book. Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience. The lady cutting my son's hair (14 mos) was not compassionate when he started crying and didn't stop cutting when I asked her to. I told her at the beginning that my son had recently undergone eye surgery and I didn't want to push the haircut if he got too upset. He'd been through enough lately and a haircut wasn't worth tears at the time. I'm not sure if she was worried about not getting paid or has just become immune to toddler tears, but she just told me I was being too worried and continued on. Long story short: my son cried during his haircut and I cried on the way home. Back to the Panda Room! read more

This was our first time visiting Snipz. Hannah was so sweet and patient with my two year old son. She took her time to make sure the cut was how I wanted. Highly recommend asking for Hannah! read more

Tracy is beyond amazing!!! She is so talented... great with kids She did my grandson's hair, and she kept Leo entertained the whole time!!!

Hannah has been cutting my son's hair here for more than a year! He's 5 and super sensitive to new people and experiences. Hannah is awesome-gentle, moves quickly, and was able to gain his trust on our first visit. 5 stars and we'll keep coming back. Love the ability to book online read more

Nightmare! We should have left when the stylist kept saying, how SHORT are we going? When we asked her to TRIM my kid's hair. I almost cried when I saw what she had done. He has a pretty serious cowlick that we waited a long time for the hair to get long enough for it to lay flat. She shaved right up to it and then told us he had a cowlick, and kept shaving. I had to ask her to stop because she was making it worse. The look of disappointment on my son's face when he looked in the mirror broke my heart. Bad hair cuts are a part of life, but he has picture day in less than a week, so not only did she ruin our day, she ruined his school pictures for the year. read more

Horrible experience for my baby's first haircut. Uneven front, choppy back. Would not recommend.

I dropped by on a weekend and i was told they were fully booked which is understandable however Tracy was super rude and unprofessional. I am not sure if the good reviews are coming from their work but 0 stars for their customer service. She went on and on about the weekend being busy and kept lecturing me why I need an appointment. Just saying they don't take walk-ins would have sufficed, didn't sign up for her comments after driving 40mim with my toddler. read more

I was super nervous to get my 2-year-olds blonde curly locks cut for the first time, but Anne Marie did a spectacular job and we love the way his hair looks now. She made it fun for him and provided a cute momento for us to keep from his first haircut. We will definitely be back again! read more

My son started coming to Snipz Novato a couple of years ago. We've always been happy with his haircuts. The staff are friendly and great with kids. I definitely recommend Snipz Novato! read more

I reached out to the Salon owner regarding the cut and she responded with in 18 hours. Appreciated the follow up and the fact that she is taking steps to make things right. Because of the customer service, and the fact that we've gotten good cuts there before, I will give it another shot. Plan on letting this cut grow out a bit before giving it another go - will post additional update then. read more

Always fast, friendly and do a good job on my 3 year olds hair. They also sell good products. They have toys in the waiting area and ask you if your kid would like an iPad while getting a cut (which you can always decline!). Decent price too, I think it's around $35 for my 3 year olds cut. They will also offer a braid included! read more
