They recently started adding the cutest little gemstone accents to the dogs' ears (done safely, of course), and my girl Faith is absolutely living for it! She prances out of the salon with bows, bling, and a whole new attitude--and it's so cute that she even keeps her bows in her toy box and brings them to me so I'll put them back on and tell her how pretty she is. Jessy continues to be the absolute best. He always finds a way to fit Faith in and treats her like royalty. His gentle, kind nature as a groomer is unmatched--Faith adores him, and so do I! Every time we go in, we're treated with kindness, consistency, and real professionalism. I've used SnipIts for around 10 years. There have been a couple of times when an issue came up but they've always been able to talk it out and move on. Life is not about being 100% happy. It just doesn't work that way. You compromise, get over your hurt feelings and move on. I wouldn't chose anyone to groom my dog who didn't treat her as one of their own. read more

We took our dog to Snipits this week for grooming. He received the de-shedding package. He looked very handsome, and there have been no more tumbleweeds of fur in our floor since our appointment! We have been to this location several times for their walk in nail grinding/clipping times, and the service is always very welcoming and good. Also, usually when Ringo goes to the vet or groomer, he throws up, and he didn't this time. I know they used a lavender essential oil under his nose when doing his nails, it could be that helps him be less anxious. I would definitely recommend this pet salon! read more

Eek! Methinks not. We have been taking our pets to Snipits for about 3-4 years and for the most part, have been very satisfied with the service we have gotten. The main lady at the front desk did what we asked, made suggestions and was always friendly and helpful. On the last visit on Feb. 1, we dropped off both of our little monsters shortly before their scheduled time and told them exactly what that it was we wanted done. The lady at the front desk was not there like she usually was. There were a bunch of younger girls working who seemed not to know anything about us as well as 2-3 teenagers behind the counter. We told them to text us when they were ready and we would run right back to get them as we drive a long ways and stay on the south side of town to wait for them. (we drive about 20 miles to take them there) One of our dogs was put up on a table as if she was going to be done right then and the other was taken to the back room. We left (9am). After trying to find things to do all morning and into the afternoon, after 1:30pm we decided that normal timing was 4 hours for both so we headed back to the salon. When we arrived, one of out dogs was not even 3/4 done and there were even more teenagers running in and out. More fun than work. I asked how long as we could go for a while longer and was told they could get her done quick. Needless to say I was not happy with the service and attitude of the person who seemed to be in charge if you could call it that. I was not that nice myself but never raised my voice, only made it known by my expressions and actions that I was not happy. We got both dogs, paid and left. Upon getting home, we got a voicemail from the salon telling us that not to worry about booking any future appointments due to our dissatisfaction with the terrible cuts they got (could have done that myself) and to not call back again. There was no question as to why we were upset, how can we make up for this, "I'm sorry" or anything else, just don't come back. Upon inspecting them, both dogs had burns from the clippers which had to be treated, both have been sick since we brought them home and can't find out why, nothing was cut as asked and even our youngest poodle looks like she did when we took her in already, and its only been just a month. So $100 later, one virtually looks like she was hardly even cut and the other one who was on the table when we arrived is so scalped that her ears are not even a 1/4 of an inch long yet and should be over an inch when picked up. Needless to say, no we won't be going back to this place in the future, would not recommend them to anyone and would warn anyone who does take their pet there to be careful of potential health problems due to cleanliness and untrained staff. Not to mention the teenage meeting place it has become. What a shame. We used to like going there but after the last couple of times, that has ended. I have made numerous phone calls to different agencies about them and each was going to do some investigating so we will see what happens. read more

Convenience will not be a deciding factor any longer. We will be taking our two dogs to a new groomer after both dogs were cut again. When accidents happen while they are in SnipIts care, the accidents need to be disclosed at the time of pick up. It's heartbreaking to discover their cuts once we have them home. I've taken my dogs in twice to have their cuts glued to prevent re-opening during the healing process. This is unacceptable. Too much turn over at their salon and possibly inexperienced groomers. read more

I normally do a self-serve bath but the business recently closed so, I figured I'd try out this salon due to proximity to our home. I did read some negative reviews but decided because it was just a bath I'd give them a try! Sadly, I was met with such rudeness at the front desk I will not be returning. Instead of greeting me they began the conversation by accusing me of a "no-call-no-show" even though I did reschedule an appointment for today, days in advance. Then, they stated my rescheduled appointment was for the next day.  Now, I understand miscommunications happen and I would have been completely fine if they approached the situation with respect and understanding. My problem is with the argumentative individuals behind the counter, including the person who I believe runs this business, who instead of apologizing decided to rudely blame an employee for the schedule and roll their eyes. I used to love this salon but recently I took my dog here for a simple nail trim. She doesn't love getting her nails trimmed and can be hard to deal with but she's never been aggressive or bitten anyone and usually they calm her down and get it done. Last time was different, they roughly pulled her around, yelled at her and when she was done they basically threw her leash at me. When I emailed the owner about this all I got was a bunch of excuses and pointing the blame on me and my dog. This is the worst business I have ever encountered. My 1 year old mini Goldendoodle was cut, bleeding and burned in more than 7 spots, as well as completely shaved naked and kept in a cage for 5 hours. I took her for a groom, as we are trying to find a new groomer since ours was shut down due to COVID. They called me before even making it home from drop off to say they were shaving her naked due to matting. I called back 2 mins later to give permission, even though I was very skeptical of the dramatic measure considering she is brushed routinely, and they had already done it. Then 4 hours later when I hadn't heard a word, I called to check on her to be informed she had been ready for pickup. The hair cut was so bad but the worst part was the blood everywhere. Both her ears cut across the tops, both tips of the ears were clipped off, the neck was bleeding, and there were burns on her eyes and thigh and butt. They did not mention one thing during pickup and shoved us out the door while being very rude about our disappointment in their job. She has been traumatized, can't sleep, upset stomach and is more timid and anxious than ever before. She's itchy and licking the injuries and is even timid of me touching her. I do not know what the hell they did to her but it makes me sick and so upset. The owner admitted to dull or hot blades and gave us our money back, but that is not enough. I've had numerous old customers and even EX-EMPLOYEES reach out to me telling me to report this. This is a common occurrence and there is animal abuse that goes on there, mainly by the owner. Do not give them an opportunity to continue their terrible track record. read more

Took our yorkie mix here. When we picked him up all seemed well. I noticed once we got home there was blood everywhere. Realized then that they had completely cut off of his do claw, the claw on the inside of the feet. I called and they stated " we tried to glue it" and he seemed ok. We recently got our little pomeranian groomed here and it was the best place we have been to in years. Not only do they care about the dog more then the price but they offer services with their packages that other stores would charge for. The staff there was spectacular. The pets don't get thrown in cages that are stacked on top of each other they get their own corner of the place to just relax. Cost wise, lets just say call this company first and be amazed. My dog doesn't love being groomed. The people here are patient with her and always do a great job. Her nails can be very tricky as she hates her feet being touched but they usually can get them all trimmed and always let me know if they had to skip some. They take wonderful care of my pup! She's not a breed that needs a haircut, but they brush her very thoroughly, bath her well, trim her claws, and even express her glands if necessary (as my dog tends to have an issue with that). THIS SALON IS A COMPLETE JOKE!! While the salon it's self is very nice. The staff is another story. I had a few questions about the pricing at drop off and when talking to the manager, she seemed to be quite annoyed. Then around 2pm they called me and I was told I had to come and pick up my dog now! Because she was closing early because she had no other dogs. I was not told I had to be there by 2pm to pick up I assumed they would have "normal business hours" and not whatever is convenient for them instead of the customer. By the way this was the owner who called me and demanded me to come get my dog now. When I arrived at 3pm she was very annoyed and irritated even after I explained that I was on the other side of town and that I was also never told that they close at 2pm on a weekday!!! She informed me that they are only opened on most days until the last dog is picked up. WHAT!!! what kind of a business is this, If their last client is picked up by noon they just lock up and go home?????!!!!!!!!! And I have to say I felt a little intimidated by her. She also proceeded to tell me what a hand full my dog was. When I have been taking my dogs for 10+ years to VCA for grooming AND never had a problem, never once had a issue. But found out the normal groomer is no longer there. So I will defiantly be looking for a new groomer for my pets because I will never be back here. I can not believe that other people have not complained. But HEY! they can't have much of a clientele considering that they have no normal or regular business hours. read more
