I recently took a CPR plus first aid class through Snappy CPR. I've been an early education teacher and childcare provider for over 20 years-so the every 2 year renewal is pretty standard for me. Being new to Arizona I found Snappy CPR and hoped for the best. This was honestly THE BEST CPR class I've ever had (again-I've done this A LOT over 20 years). Owner and instructor Nick was so personable, to the point, honest, and had a wealth of examples and knowledge behind what he was saying. He also spent a good amount of time on the practical stuff (actually doing CPR). He also didn't sugar coat some of the emergencies that may come up. Brought my 16 year old daughter along for her first certification and she loved it as well-we both left smiling and more confident in our ability to respond in an emergency. I'm sad to say this, but Nick actually taught me several things I didn't know or that were new to me. Given I've done this course so many times, I really thought it'd mostly be a review of what I already know-so I felt even more confident that I was now armed with some new knowledge...and also kinda sad that I was never shown or taught certain things in my other CPR/First aid classes. A testament to Nick's preparation and thoroughness. Thanks for a great class Nick! This was one of the best CPR classes I've ever attended and that's saying a lot considering I've been needing to be CPR certified for the past 6 years (mandatory renewal every 2 years) for both work and school. Snappy CPR is owned by a husband and wife couple in the medical field and the certifications are approved by the American Heart Association-which is what most employers require. I was referred here by my brother who told me that Nick was such an amazing instructor and I can completely attest to that now after taking his class. He is able to teach you without making you feel inadequate and always encourages you to ask questions. He makes learning about saving lives really interesting and exciting. It is a very hands-on learning environment and is held within a clean/tidy classroom building! Another plus was the price- most classes were running about $65 but this was only $50! What a steal! Never thought I would leave a review for a CPR class (like most people I was dreading the inconvenient 3 hours out of my day) but Nick made this class unforgettable, exactly how one should feel after leaving a life saving course! Honestly I've never walked away from one of these classes actually having retained the material. I knew basic CPR but Nick made this time memorable with real life scenarios and tips and tricks for remembering the basics during an emergency. One of my biggest fears with CPR was not being certain of where to do compressions. With Nick's tips I'll never forget or panic again! He also uses real life scenarios from his wife who is an ER doctor. I walked away learning more then I ever imagined from a CPR course! Anyone taking a CPR class knows you'll have to take it regardless of wanting to or not. Do yourself a favor and skip the other boring lectures and take it from someone where you will actually learn rather then wasting your time! Highly recommend!! read more

Snappy CPR was wonderful. My mom and I went to be certified in CPR and First Aid and was finished with both classes and had our cards in hand after 4 hours. Way quicker and more reasonably priced than American Red Cross! Our class was small which gave us each the opportunity to practice CPR on our own dummy with Nic (owner and instructor) going over instructions and helping us along the way. Nic was an amazing instructor: giving detailed instructions, explaining each step, encouraging all questions, and telling personal stores that help give a better idea of real-life scenarios you may (but hopefully will not) come across. I left the class feeling like a learned a ton of useful life-saving information and more prepared to go into the world. I had to quickly find somewhere to take my BLS for healthcare providers for school because mine expired within a month. Nick has been very accommodating throughout the entire process of trying to figure out and set up a date and time that worked with me and some of my classmates. The class was 3 hours which was nice especially coming from an 8 hour lecture. Nick isn't like a lot of instructors Ive had who don't care and are very monotone. After 8 hours of lecture and managing to make it to this class, he kept me awake the entire time. I'm ACLS certified and I still was learning new things about BLS, so he definitely kept me on my toes! Great class, very good pricing, quick and efficient. Highly recommend! read more

I had just taken my class today. He called me to inform that I would be the only one showing up to class since everyone else had rescheduled. He gave me the option to either reschedule or do a 1 on 1 class. The fact that he made the time for me to get my certification in time for my job even though I was the only student in the class shows how dedicated he is. I used to teach BLS in the Navy and I learned quite a few new things from him. He's such an awesome instructor and has interesting stories to tell that relates to the class. The class is at a really nice pace, straight to the point and it's much shorter than MOST CPR/first aid class. Definitely get your certifications through him. read more

My daughter is 15 years old and took the night class with Instructor Nick and a few other students. It was late, and a school night, and she even had a doctors appointment beforehand. So I was a little worried that she might get tired and zone out during this class. To my surprise, she came out very excited about everything that she had learned! She's interested in a career in medicine, and taking the class solidified it for her. She told me that she learned more in those three hours and she learned all year in school. My Teenager was talking, excitedly, about First Aid, CPR, how and when to use AEDS, and so much more. I have to attribute this to a fine job by the instructor!! read more

I have been getting certified for CPR/First Aid for various jobs over the last 20 years. Snappy CPR has by far been the best course I have ever taken. The instructor, Nick Mele, is well-informed, engaging and on top of all the new and latest updates. He is clear and concise on what is important to know for those needing certification in a non-medical field ( we were all in fitness/child-elder care and like professions). Most CPR certifications must go through Red Cross or American Heart. For all of you time conservationists, as I am, a bit of research showed American Heart classes are typically 3 hours vs. Red Cross four or more hours. I chose Snappy based on location, time and cost! I was pleasantly surprised the class was very well done. Efficient, educative and a bit of humor! The three hours were done in an instant and I I didn't feel like I wasted my time. Definitely a must go for your CPR/BSL, etc. certs and recerts! Icing on the cake is it's a family owned operation... who doesn't like supporting those?! read more

I'm currently a Radiography Student at CAC and a requirement of my degree is a BLS certification. Nick's class was both educational and fun. Nick was able to provide realistic examples helping us realize how these skills can be realistically applied in and out of the medical field. Nick also ensured that everyone in his class understood the lessons. Other classes I've taken had instructors that just wanted to "move us along..." but Nick didn't just want us to get our Certification; he wanted to ensure we understood the lessons. Nick, the instructor, is very knowledgeable and makes sure you understand everything. I do not like classroom environments, but it was very laid-back with no pressure, or feeling like you're put in the "spotlight." Nick is very patient and wants to help you understand the methods. No question is too dumb for him to answer. This course is very worth the money and I would recommend anyone get training through this facility. Let's be honest most people taking this class are required to take it for school or work. But I have to say Nick did an amazing job trenching this sometimes dry information. It was by far the best cpr class I've taken. My class peers were very involved in discussions and made the class interesting. He is very knowledgeable and will make you feel so comfortable. There are some role playing but he ever makes you feel dumb for skipping a step. I will definitely be taking his class again come renewal time! There are beverages you can buy and there is adequate parking. Very easy to find. read more

Nick, our instructor, was very professional, answered all of our questions in detail and made the material and instructions very clear and easy to understand and follow. I had a great time learning and felt more confident in myself when I left the class than when I went in. He goes over all of the material you need to know and is encouraging and supportive. If you're looking for CPR or BLS I encourage you to utilize SnappyCPR! The weekday class hours starting at 6 is great for those who may work regular hours and don't want to do a weekend course or cannot. Nick was great and engaging and you could literally feel his passion for the cause. Clean facility. Great dummies. He's well spoken and easy to learn from. Class size is small and intimate. I had to take an in-class BLS course for my employment and needed to find something right away. Nick responded to my inquiry that day and I was in class that night. The class was very informative and I actually learned more information than I had known before despite being certified for the past 4 years. We practiced multiple times on adult and infant mannequins. The class even had practice AEDs that we worked with in different scenarios. Nick kept the class upbeat and fun. Returned here again to renew my certification. Nick is a great instructor. He keeps the information coming in an informative but entertaining manner. He also demonstrates while he's teaching you. He plays a minimal amount of the boring videos and reviews that information with real life scenarios. He encourages questions and the time flies by.
