I'm very disappointed in this Christian centered gym. I've had a membership with snap Fitness for…read morethe last year. Two months ago, my new employer offered a membership through active and Fit. I joined for half the price I was paying for my membership prior. unfortunately, something happened between the insurance company and the gym and they did not receive my payment information and the gym continue to charge me $50 a month for June in July. I never received a phone call to discuss what happened and I texted a member of the gym who was trying to figure out what was happening and was told that I needed to call the insurance company and try to get my money refunded to me for June. This is not how it works. Needless to say this gym preaches Christian values and I don't see anything Christian like. I'm still waiting for a phone call from the owners of the gym to discuss what needs to happen next. And active and Fit insurance company was to reach out to the gym on my behalf.

I signed up specifically because how Jimmy claimed it was safe and clean post covid. Big mistake no…read moreone wears masks there, people wearing their masks on their chin or no mask at all this is both by patrons as well as trainers. Hate to tell you this in against the recommendations by the state. When I brought it to his attention I was told he spoke to his staff and it wouldn't be a problem again...sure enough happened several times after...i really became annoyed when I went to wash my hands and the water in the woman's bathroom is ice cold the trainer mentioned to me she never noticed it!?! So i guess you don't wash your hands then.

I enrolled my daughter here for gymnastics classes. She's 4, and has never done any kind of…read moregroup/sports activity before. I feel the rate for 12 classes (1xweek) is reasonable. She's still very shy and standoffish doing some of the activities but I love that the instructors are attentive and offer to help her however they can and encourage her a great deal. She's definitely begun to come out of her shell. The other kids in her class are also lovely - I can tell several of them have been doing these classes for a while and they are very sweet with my daughter and exhibit great team work / sportsmanship, which I feel can be attributed at least in part to these classes & the instructors, so that's awesome. The facility is large, bright and clean. Staff members are friendly and helpful. I'll probably sign my daughter up again in the future for more classes!

I'm writing this review as one who had a guest pass for this facility, so of course, I could've…read morejust been there on a bad day. This does not apply to the gym or the facility itself. However, I don't think the behavior I witnessed should be acceptable on any day. This was the worst group fitness instruction I have ever seen. She taught the BodyPump class. She did not give her name, but I eventually saw it on their schedule. I've taken classes at many gyms, including the YMCA, Gold's, Anytime Fitness, and Crossfit boxes. Never once did I question the instructors qualifications or intentions at those organizations. The instructor I had didn't even introduce herself. Didn't once give a quick overview of the class for anybody that may be a newcomer. I found this to be not only unprofessional but rude to those who may be intimidated by group fitness. This woman, who is not even a certified personal trainer, began to berate me by calling me out in front of the entire class on her mic. She told me I "wasn't strong enough" for the weight I was challenged by but in total control of. I've been in powerlifting for several years, so I've been training with heavier weight and therefore have developed the strength necessary. She continued to call me out in front of the class, saying "you! You in the back! I don't care how strong you are!" This is a weight-training class for "all levels." How hard would if be to simply approach the participant and quickly ask them how they're doing? This person had zero qualifications based on my research nor did she know my fitness background to have the right to question my ability. Once again, I've been to many group fitness classes, they were all respectful and encouraging with the proper education and qualifications. I hope nobody else experienced this "trainer's" lack of etiquette.

I can safely say I've had memberships to over 20 different gyms in my life. I've never loved one as…read moremuch as I love Intrepid. The owner and staff have created a workout community that pushes you like a regular gym never would - while also creating a fun and friendly atmosphere that you are excited to be a part of. I'll also add - when you hear about CrossFit or see some of the insanely fit people there, it looks super intimidating. I can tell you once you go, it's the complete opposite. Everything is explained very thoroughly, everything can be scaled for your fitness level, and the coaches and your workout partners are so extremely supportive and helpful. I am so glad I got my past fear and went for it because it wound up not being scary at all and each class I learn something new and see improvement. Highly recommend!

The community that spontaneously arises when I show up for a workout is one of the key components that keep me going back. Everyone - from the coaches to the members are friendly, inviting and motivating. No matter what your level of fitness you'll feel comfortable and welcomed. The owner - Ryan - organizes social events at the gym or at local hotspots and he puts teams together to compete in local competitions - Crossfit related and not. Ryan & his team of coaches do a phenomenal job. The WODS are always balanced and the movements and exercises are always property explained, demonstrated, practiced and individually scaled before the workout begins. My husband and son train here as well and we all love it. We have been members at other local area gyms/ fitness organizations in the area but we have never felt at home as we do here. We have seen tremendous improvements in our fitness and health since becoming members and the connections and friendships we've made cannot be matched
