I am still blown away by how poorly this situation was handled. While picking up a Starbucks order for my wife and daughter, I placed a Smoothie King order through the app. It confirmed my drink would be ready in about 15 minutes. I arrived right around that time and my order was nowhere to be found. After waiting a few minutes, I asked an employee about my order. I told her it was for Mike, a medium Angel Food. She immediately said she thought someone already picked it up and went to get the manager. The owner came out and, without even listening, flat-out told me, "Sorry sir, you already picked up your drink. It's gone." I told her I had literally just arrived and that someone else must have taken it. She looked through the receipts, found my order, and still insisted that I picked it up. At this point I was confused and getting irritated because she insisted someone else picked it up instead of actually trying to fix the issue. She then said she needed to "check the cameras" and disappeared to the back. After several minutes of standing there, I asked the employee if they were seriously going to make me wait while she reviewed footage instead of just remaking the drink. When the owner came back out, she claimed that someone walked in, said their name was Mike, and picked up my smoothie--so therefore I was out of luck. She refused to remake it. At that point, I showed her everything: - The Smoothie King app with my order - My debit card with my name - The bank transaction showing the charge I asked her directly if she was implying that I sent someone in earlier to grab my drink and was now trying to scam them out of a second one. She denied that, but continued to insist that "another Mike" already picked it up. Another customer in the store was visibly shocked at how this was being handled. She then questioned the employees again, who clearly looked nervous. I told them not to be afraid and just tell the truth. One of them admitted that someone came in and said they were picking up an Angel Food smoothie. At that point, it was obvious an employee mistake had been made, but no one wanted to own it. Only then did the owner finally approve remaking my drink. While waiting, I told her this entire situation was ridiculous and asked if she honestly thought I would try to steal an $8 smoothie. So let this be a warning: DO NOT place an online order at this location. If someone takes your drink--by mistake or otherwise--you will be treated like the problem, accused of already picking it up, and initially refused a remake or refund. Before leaving, I suggested the obvious solution: keep mobile orders behind the counter and require proof of purchase before handing them out. This whole situation was unnecessary, embarrassing, and handled terribly from start to finish. read more

My son is a HUGE fan of SK, so we always make it a point to stop here after a baseball game in the area. His go-to is the Angel Food with protein added. And he absolutely devours the smoothie in no time at all. I enjoy the açaí bowls, as well as whatever the "seasonal" smoothie may be at that time. I am "seasoned" age wise, so I have tried so many smoothies from the menu over the years. My favorite will forever be the old secret menu smoothie "gummy bear". I used to get this years ago and absolutely loved it. Service here is great. Everyone has been friendly each time we've gone. The atmosphere is to be expected for a smoothie king...not terribly busy and definitely noisy due to the blenders. This is a busy location for smoothie king but also very convenient. I love using the app so that I'm able to just walk in and grab my drink and walk right back out to the car. The ladies are always nice when I come in and happy to treat me. The best thing I like is that the smoothie is super, smooth and so tasty. I asked for no added sugar in my smoothie they definitely gave me sugar added... I asked if they could just add some honey instead and the kids said honey breaks the blades of a smoothie maker. I love smoothie king, it's a go too at least 2-3 times a week. I was out of town and saw this one and decided ok I'll get a treat.... Big mistake! I ordered when I was across town (I know it takes about 15 min for them to get made) and I was 18 min out. We get there I send my son in to pick it up and it's not ready, he sits there another good 10 minutes then comes out and said "they never put it out". I walked in (by this point it had been 25 min) and people that had walked in after we got there were getting their smoothies ... I ask them he pulls out a pile of tickets and mine was on the bottom. I still had to wait another 8 min for it to get made. The line was super long by the time I left. They are either EXTREMELY under staffed (although they did have 2 people and that's all I usually ever see in the ones at home) or they were just extremely inefficient and lost. They make my smoothie he sticks it in the cup and it was only 3/4 full so he had to dump it back in the blender and added ice and ice cream to fill the cup up. It tasted overly sweet and like a semifrozen ice cream bar. 176 calories makes it not too bad, only 1g of Fiber and only 5g of protein. Not great. 32g of sugar in a 12oz drink is ridiculous. I didn't realize that until after I had ordered. Might as well be a McDonald's shake. Take time to read the Nutritional Guide before ordering. I should've. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I have spent thousands of dollars at this Smoothie King and will never step foot in this place again. My friends will never get a smoothie here again. I walked into this place many times and observed the staff not wearing a face covering over their mouth and nose. I don't care at all if a person wears a mask, doesn't wear a mask, is vaccinated or unvaccinated, but this particular Smoothie King kicked me out for not wearing a mask even though the staff doesn't follow their own rules. Half of the time I've walked in this place the staff was wearing a mask over their chins and not even covered their mouths or nose so of course I was surprised when they kicked me out of the store for not wearing a mask. I went to another Smoothie King off of Palmer Ln owned by a guy named Andre. I walked in without a mask without any problems and this is the Smoothie King I will be going to from now on. The Smoothie King in PF chose to lose thousands of dollars in business from loyal customers all over a stupid mask. The mask mandate is lifted in this state and apparently this Smoothie King has changed their mask policy on June 7th. Guess what? I don't care. I'll never go back to this Smoothie King again over this experience. I gave my phone number to the staff and asked the staff to have the owner contact me on this matter. After my third attempt to reach the owner the staff blocked me from calling. The owner "Jayme" never called me back to have a discussion over this matter which tells me everything I need to know about how much he actually cares about his business. I tried to do Smoothie King's meal replacement smoothies, but to be honest they are quite costly considering the simple ingredients that go into these things. Also they are very sugary -- the particular smoothie I ordered had yogurt in it and they add Turbinado by default. Why are we putting raw sugar on top of yogurt in a place that's supposed to be promoting health? The rewards program also recently got revamped and it feels a lot less rewarding but we'll see how it goes.
