Rude Service When I first walked in, I approached the…read morecounter and was greeted by a friendly, laid-back gentleman who asked how he could help me. I explained that it was my first time there and that I had a few questions about their services. Suddenly, a random girl from across the bar of people interrupted, saying, "What do you want?" Confused, I hesitated, not sure who to address, and she repeated, "What do you want? I work here too." I explained that I had never been there before but generally knew how I liked my smoothies and had some questions. She snapped back, "We don't do fruit smoothies; they're protein-based." Given that the place is connected to a gym, I assumed that was obvious, but fine. I clarified that I was indeed there for a protein-based smoothie, and I noticed fruit listed on the menu. When I asked if they could add fruit to the smoothie, a different woman chimed in aggressively, saying, No fruit at all. The entire experience felt hostile and unwelcoming. I had no idea who I should be talking to or why it seemed like they wanted me to leave.

You see Race Trac and I are still in that stage where we are always happy to see each other and get this-I can fill up this free fill cup I bought for 6.99 as many times as I can until Sept 6th. I must go visit about 3 or 4 times a day just for that. Race Trac is very young so still looks quite nice and since she is new to the area she keeps her prices low to keep us coming back. I do like the time I spend at Race Trac-but don't worry Quik Trip I will see you whenever my tires need air.

I've been to several different GNC locations around town and this one ranks as one of my favorites…read more Not only does the staff seem a bit more educated about the products (I can read the bottle ingredients just as well as an employee, kthx) but they don't seem to be as pushy about upselling (why assume I'm trying to lose weight and I want your magic chewy thingy? *harumph*). Honestly, I've learned that it's up to me to educate myself about what supplements I'm planning on taking rather than leaving the educating part up to the employees. These aren't trained doctors and most of them don't really know crap about what they're selling, just that they have the magic cure to what ails me. I've also learned it's much cheaper to wait for online sales and emailed coupons rather than shopping full price in the store (even with a member discount) so I don't really come to the physical locations unless I've run out of something. As far as price and quality goes, GNC runs about the same as other vitamin shops and for some reason, I trust the quality a little better than what I can find at CVS. I don't have any evidence to back that up, it's just a gut feeling. GNC can definitely hook you up with anything you need for your pre or post workout and has the vitamins and supplements to help you stay a little healthier between workouts.
