Usually I'm very lenient and understanding of rush hour and I don't exactly know who to blame. The building management or the employees. Today me and my boyfriend walked in looking forward to a smoothie after a LONG day at work. One thing I didn't expect was the very pardon my language but SHITTY service. This is my first time coming to this location and it left me preferring to go 30 minutes farther away for a better experience. Anyway, as we walked in we were greeted by a big water bug on the floor its corpse probably rotting for hours. No one greeted us which I let slide. Then we walked up to the counter to meet with a young man with the most uninterested expression and he didn't even make eye contact nor asked us what we wanted after standing there awkwardly for a minute. I ended up ordering anyway simply assuming he had acknowledged and typed my order in and I paid. He didn't even give me my receipt which I wanted. (Now I'm disappointed for even tipping 10% which says a lot for my $13 order) We waited and all of a sudden heard a big clash of the other young man THROWING a blender into the sink. As unpleasant as that was I turned the other cheek. Once my order was ready I wanted to confirm that the drink they put out was actually my drink to avoid any mixups. I asked not once, not twice but three times and this young man didn't hear me because he had both of his earbuds in. He simply looked at my face and nodded annoyingly as if he'd been bothered by my simple question. As I turned around he mumbled something under his breath like he trynna be slick or something I must remind y'all that only uneducated children do that. Anyway my boyfriend got his smoothie and left. We were left very unsatisfied and very bothered by this interaction. I don't know if this place needs to hire more staff so these kids don't hit the customers with their mood swings. This could've easily been avoided if these young men had some decorum and proper manners. I will NOT be returning to this location and good luck to the future customers once they find out that $7 smoothie obliterates their innards. During COVID time, customers look for safety precautions being taken by businesses. This was my first time in a smoothie king and I don't feel I will be coming back. All 3 employees were not wearing any gloves and the employee mixing the ingredients and placing smoothies in cups kept rubbing the back of her head and then her eye, during the smoothie being mixed, and then proceeding to handle the cups and hand them to customers.
