I went out of my way to treat myself for the 2nd time to the $9.99 Avocado Toast w/20 oz. Smoothie on my day off at the Mansfield, TX Smoothie King location. I went through the drive through, and waited patiently in line. I was handed my order and drove off. I started to eat the avocado toast and it was cold and the bread was soft and hardly toasted which is completely unacceptable and different from my first experience when I went inside to order earlier this week. I started to sip my smoothie only to notice a long, 2" vertical crack in the center of my straw. I then decided to drive back to smoothie king and went inside believing they would care and actually assist me in my concerns. The worker gal stated they would make me a new avo toast as I was not asking for another smoothie. I just wanted a functioning straw. The male manager then came wanting me to re-explain the issue, as to almost not believing me. I kindly and patiently re-explained then went to the bathroom as he said he would need to contact the general manager. I came out of the bathroom and he said they cannot remake my toast because I ate some of it but could remake my smoothie. I told them I did not want another smoothie, just the toast. He refused. I asked if I could speak to his GM. He then became upset and said "You can just leave." I could not believe how rudely I was treated as a paying customer. It truly put a bad taste in my mouth. I then decided to call the Smoothie King Headquarters, and was relieved when I spoke to kind & understanding, Malik Martinez. He said if I completed this email request, he would put in a refund request and certainly have a talk with the manager. I cried because I felt so hurt by being treated so unkindly, as if I had done something wrong. My avocado toast was cold, not actually toasted properly, and my straw had a huge crack and somehow it was my fault. Anyway, I am very appreciative for Malik and look forward to a follow up soon. I cannot believe a manager could not handle a simple task as offering a refund, or just remaking the toast to satisfy a paying customer and it makes me question if he is truly capable of handling such a role. read more

It's pretty bad when you place a mobile order and go to pick it up and when you get to the front door at 8pm an hour before they close and the door is locked. The drive thru is the only way to pick up the order and it's backed up and moving slow. Wait in the drive thru for over 35-45 min only to finally get up to the window and they tell us that they are out of bowls when I ordered a PB swizzle bowl. They didn't have the only other smoothie ready that was in our order. Had to go through the hassle of taking off the PB swizzle bowl that we placed in the order so we didn't get charged. They never tried to even give us another smoothie for the inconvenience of waiting in the drive thru line and them not even having any bowls. I ask them why the front door was locked since they didn't close until 9pm and the employee stated she had a meeting and there was only one other employee inside which was a lie since I saw a total of 4 employees behind the counter in the store unless two of them weren't suppose to be there to begin with. Very pissed about this experience and the fact they didn't even try to accommodate us for the major inconvenience. This is the worst Smoothie King I've ever been to in the country, and I've been to dozens of them. They only allow drive thru pickup, so by using the app and ordering early, I still had to wait 30 minutes in line to pick up the now melted smoothie. They are amazingly slow, and when I've interacted with them, their customer service is poor at best. I highly recommend going somewhere else for a smoothie unless you have plenty of time to waste and don't mind paying double what it's worth. read more

It's great to have this Smoothie King right up the street from my residence. Initially, I was thrilled with how great my favorite Vegan Pineapple Spinach smoothie tastes. Over the past month, however, this Smoothie King has been the absolute WORST location to purchase from. I've ordered my favorite smoothie just to drive away and taste it only to discover that it doesn't taste the way it normally does. It tasted like it was watered down on 3 consecutive visits. Very bland, I might add. Come to find out that they were out of spinach. Even worse, no one said a thing about it to me when placing my order. Just last night, I gave them another chance. I ordered my smoothie, and when given my total, something told me to ask if they were out of any of the ingredients that normally go into my smoothie. I was told, they were again out of spinach. WHY should I have to ask that question? They should have told me right when I placed my order that the smoothie was not going to contain the normal healthy ingredients that I look forward to consuming. Yet, they'll still charge me the regular price while KNOWING the smoothie isn't top-notch quality as advertised. Shame on this location! I will NEVER come there again. Your customer service is terrible in this regard seeing that you're willing to reduce the product's quality that I'm paying FULL price for. I visit other locations regularly and have no problems whatsoever. I return to your location after one month and the SAME problem persists. I deserve a refund for all of the bad smoothies you've sold to me without all of the ingredients included.
