Food is awesome, but the light right over the drive through window flashes so brightly that I've had to cover my head in a jacket to avoid seizures in the later hours of the day. I asked if I could speak to a manager about that a few days later the first time it happened, and I was told that there wasn't a manager around. I said that's okay, is there a supervisor around? The worker went back and brought the supervisor. I asked the supervisor if I could leave a note for the manager, and she looked super confused. She said, "I mean, you can tell me." I said okay and explained about the light. She stared at me blankly, eventually saying she'd let the manager know. I've since been back and there has been no change. (Meaning I couldn't even drive myself because of the seizure risk.) A lot of these workers are young kids so it's completely uncalled for how rude the customers are to them, so I'm not saying don't go or don't treat these people kindly-- I'm saying just know that the building is not ADA compliant. read more

I've been to smoothie king multiple times before! I enjoy their smoothies when it's made right. I use to get smoothies here on a daily basics but have only gone on Friday's since it's 5$ mediums. It's a better deal! The location is clean inside and out. They really did a lot of work to this location considering it was a run down quizno's that was dirty inside and out...literally. pavement was cracked and everything. Anyways, back to smoothie king....I would have rate it a 4 star but one Friday I walked in late...not knowing they closed at 9 and one girl in particular got really pissed off...she literally said "what the hell"? and another girl said "I just can't refuse customers" and girl 1 replied with "then lock the F'in door"! Like I said I didn't realize they closed so early on a Friday until after I ordered my drink. I apologized and told them I will not come in late anymore. She was just rude... PS: they are super slow with making smoothies...i believe they may be understaffed but most of the time you will spend at least 10 mins in the drive thru if there's a car or 2 in front of you. read more

I normally make my own smoothies but I decided to drop by Smoothie King instead today. The place looks very open and clean. Someone w clones you as you walk in with a hello or good morning! A little weird how you walk all the way to the back counter to order but I guess it works! The pricing is really high in my opinion. This is why I make my own. Now on Fridays they do have a pretty good deal. All medium smoothies are $5.00. They also have 2 loyalty programs. 1 is free and the other you have to pay for. The free loyalty program allows you to gain points for every purchase and you can redeem them later. Free enchanter, sk snack, small, medium and large smoothies are the items you can redeem points for. The enchanter is 2,500 and a large smoothie is 12,500 pts! The only thing about this program is there's no keychain, it's an app. Which most ppl make find convenient but I dont! It's a run in and out type of place, so I'll leave my phone in the car. Now they do have a drive through but I find either way you go, the employees don't ask do you have the loyalty app. At the end of the day, I would go back, especially on Fridays for the $5 deal! I made the sad mistake of going here, one which I will not make again. I was on my way to chipotle in search of a remotely healthy meal after my workout. As I pulled up at 8:55pm the "open" sign was off and they were turning the lights off. Sighing, I drove across the street to smoothie king where the open light was still shining. I thought, surely something remotely healthy can be found here. I walked in to the death glare of two high school looking girls. One rolled her eyes and shouted to the back, "hey we need a blender back" while the other said "I'm gonna turn the light off cause WE'RE CLOSED". I should've turned around and left right then and there. Pardon me for providing you with my business a few minutes before closing. So I hurried to pick something after being asked 3 times what I wanted within 90 seconds. I settled for a smoothie that had "meal replacement" next to it, thinking it would be the best option for a high protein, low calorie meal. After they begrudgingly made my smoothie and handed it over (additional glares free of charge) I took one sip. Wait no, I'm still sucking on the straw... 3 minutes later, still sucking. It is so thick I can't drink it. I give it the drive home to thin out. Then I open the lid, it's literally smoothie smush on the rocks. So I decide to look up the nutritional info to see if the effort is worth the while. And let me tell you what I found: OVER 150 CARBS IN ONE FREAKING CUP OF OVERPRICED BLENDED FRUIT AND ICE. I threw it away and made some broccoli. I didn't realize that "meal replacement" meant it could replace the #4 meal at McDonalds. When I hit that hard right to turn into the parking lot.. all of our smoothies fell over lmao bc I almost passed the parking lot but it's okay no need to be alarmed!! mine was the one rolling around on the floor board until I was able to park but they still look good as spanking new. This Smoothie King is pretty good. I can make my order ahead of time and it's ready when I get there. If I have questions, they're happy to help. My only issue is depending on who's there, they may say hello or not. Now, I normally don't mind, but if two people turn around and see me and not speak, after I smile, and I sit at the counter and wait to be waited on, I have a tiny issue with that. Smoothie King is one of my favorite places for lunch...just not this location. They didn't make enough of my smoothie to fill the cup, so my friend and I waited for them to remake it. Then the other employee accidentally tipped over my friend's smoothie. This I didn't mind because life happens, but it did contribute to a longer wait time. The lady who ordered after us ended up getting her smoothie before us. We were the only people inside. Maybe they were having an off day, but after this experience, I'd much rather drive the extra miles to go to my favorite location in Belleville. I wanted a low calorie healthy option before going to spin class and being 5 months pregnant. Jerrico Was working drive thru and suggested the lemon ginger spinach with strawberries to improve the veggie taste. I also added the prenatal multivitamin. This is by far the best smoothie I have ever had from Smoothie King. A much healthier option than I've ever found on their menu in the past. I have become a regular Smoothie King customer and stop by at least once a week! This location is in a prime spot for anyone out and about in Fairview Heights, or commuters just passing through. I usually stop by on my way home from STL as well as after the gym which is a few doors down! I even get a discount for having my gym card! The atmosphere is always cheery and I am greeted immediately when I walk through the door, or when I pull up to the drive thru. It is very clean and ran professionally.
