I had a few errands so I was satisfied to grab a few things to start my day! I usually get the hot mocha, it was out very fast! Service is always amazing, they bring your drink right out to you & never get your order mixed up. Less than 5 minutes I got my drink, super delicious if you ever get the chance to try I also got a new food items, the pecan sticky bun & raspberry muffin looked too good to resist! I'm also a big fan of the 'day old pastries box' because I do try to cut costs when I can it's only $7 & I love the idea of getting a surprise! They're always delicious and taste like they were made that morning. I can tell they use real, quality ingredients for their food. I have issues sometimes with gluten and certain processed breads, but I really enjoy being able to have something sweet without all the extra junk! I got out with spending about $25, pretty good deal and better quality than most places! I like to support small/individual businesses when I can, I really believe you do get a better experience and product. My favorite place to go to for coffee in Edwardsville, so if you're looking for great coffee with great service, take a look at this place, you won't regret it! support small business

Within the last month, Sacred Grounds has had a change in ownership. For some that is sad news, but…read morethe good news is that the new owners so far have been keeping the same high quality service and products. My recent visit was to take part of Javapalooza being sponsored by Rivers and Routes Tourism Bureau. When it's warm outside, I enjoy my coffee iced. My go to is, Vanilla Honey Latte with whole milk. If you're having a latte, why not go whole hog and enjoy that whole milk. The rich fullness of whole milk, adds to the flavor. Looking at their pastry case, it was hard for me to choose. However, once my eyes saw the Pizza Scone, I wanted a savory treat over a sweet. The scone was full of flavor, but a little on the dry side. After a couple bites, the dryness did not bother me, because the flavor was so good. Scared Grounds is located on the Main drag in downtown Edwardsville, so next time you're in town, be sure to stop by.

I had the gluten free lemon lavender donut & a vanilla latte - both were great! My husband had a scone he enjoyed & lemonade that was very freshly squeezed. Service was prompt and friendly - you order up at the counter. Lots of GF options, no upcharge for oat milk, gender neutral bathroooms, cozy seating both indoor and outdoor on the patio, self serve water station.

Pro tip: definitely check their hours before you go--and honestly, just plan your day around it because it's that good. I was expecting your typical little coffee-and-sandwich spot, but it completely exceeded my expectations. They have a couple of parking spaces behind the building, and if those are full, there's a free lot about 500 feet down the road. It was pretty busy at lunchtime. You order at the counter, and they bring everything to your table. There's a mix of indoor and outdoor seating in various sizes, and the decor is adorable. I especially loved the maps--they make great conversation starters. I noticed several tables pointing out places they'd visited and swapping travel stories. The menu has a nice variety. I ordered the chicken salad on ciabatta with a side salad. The chicken salad had a strong dill flavor that I really enjoyed, and the ciabatta was perfectly fresh--not too tough. Next time, I'll probably pick a different side since the salad was basically just lettuce. If there was any dressing, it was super light, so I ended up adding some of the lettuce into my sandwich. The surprise standout, though, was the lavender lemonade--a total sleeper hit. It was scorching hot that day, and I wanted something refreshing, so I ordered it on a whim. Honestly, it was the best lemonade I've ever had. I don't usually find myself making a special trip to a café just for lemonade, but here I am. I'm not sure if it's seasonal, but I really hope it sticks around.

Every tea I've ever had here has been off the charts. They have caffeine free options, too! The teapot for two is excellent. I am a sucker for a pick two because I like a lil diversity. The ceasar salad is great. Big fan of the teaspoon pesto sandwich. My partner raves about the chicken croissant and always gets a side salad with olive oil. The workers are nice. Its seat yourself with a number and they clear the table when you're finished. Easy place to bring kids. Plenty of options for seating! Personally love the booth option.

What a disappointment this experience was. Teaspoons Cafe should be called "The Burnt Cafe"…read more We all ordered the Breakfast Platter and were upset with what we received. When ordering the ham they fail to mention it's 2 1/2 slices of deli ham. The only thing that tasted fresh were the eggs and the pancake. The bacon and sau was severely burnt and dry. However, the potatoes were the worst. They were dry, burnt, over seasoned and did not taste fresh at all. The meat and potatoes were cooked hours ago reheated when ordered. For being $12 it is not worth it and that money would be better spent at McDonalds. To make matters worse I heard a staff employee coughing in the kitchen. She should be home not making the food.

I'll admit, I'm not much of a coffee guy, no matter how many times I've tried, but I'm always in for a good pastry and conversation. My wife and our friends, on the other hand, are big coffee people and had nothing but great things to say about what they ordered. The place was definitely busy, but it never felt overwhelming. The seating is set up really well, it still felt comfortable and somewhat private, even with a lot of people there meeting and chatting. I went with a blueberry scone and it was honestly excellent. Definitely worth it. Parking is a bit limited at this location, but it seems to flow just fine. There are plenty of options on the menu, and I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more. They have bar stool style seating or if you have a bigger group there's tables and chairs. The banana nut bread was good and fresh. I went with a drink item off their winter menu. It's their blood orange expresso. The vibes are very mod to retro like. Prices range from $3.50-7 on drinks. They offer hot foods as well. It was nice little pop in for a nasty weather day we had this morning. With the rain and cold.
