Besides smoothies they offered a variety of protein bars cookies etc. I noticed one high top sitting table and across from that were two other chairs and that was it as far as a seating area. Quick to place order. I asked "sleepy" employee taking my order what her favorite was and for an additional charge she said I could add the banana I was wanting so I ordered a large along with a slice of "Everything"Avocado toast which was a big portion. As I waited near the pick up window the same girl who took my order was there making my smoothie and As I glanced around the store I noticed a rather large and very interesting painting hanging on the wall . Before I could get a closer look she was there at the window with my order so I asked her about the painting and she replied" look lady I don't know I just work here" . So I decided to take a closer look at it. In this painting were several different people along with the history behind Smoothie King and its founder. As I was reading I realized the founding father was one of the people in this painting. Needless to say it was not only a beautiful painting but very interesting to read about the history behind Smoothie King. Overall the large smoothie was really big and it was good. Brought my toddler granddaughters in for a smoothie after shopping at Hobby Lobby which is in the same shopping center. So excited to have a place to get them a treat before nap time that is healthy and that they enjoy. There are two choices for Kids, and of course you can make substitutions/additions if you would like. The girls got the strawberry just like it is on the menu and each enjoyed. I like that they have a sofa available to relax on while your smoothie is being created. I ordered a Greek Yogurt Mango Pineapple. Not going to lie, I got a medium when I could have easily ordered a small and been just fine. LOL It is so yummy! Great product, great tasting smoothies we love coming here. 3 star review is to bring attention to one of the employees who consistently neglects his team especially when they are obviously busy. This gentleman has longer dirty blonde hair and gives little to no support to ensure that he is assisting his team whether it be with cleaning or helping customers. We have been in now three times while he has been working and is usually the closing shift. I feel bad for the closing team that has to work with him as we have heard him complain loudly about people coming in. read more

The children running the shop need much better training and customer service skills. The computer system wouldn't accept credit cards, only cash. So we walked down to chase to withdrawal from the atm, paid the fee since we aren't chase customers, and then walked back to smoothie king. Then the kid tells us they can't accept cash either now but told us to wait. So we waited and nothing happened. Then he started picking people from the line and telling them he will make theirs for free. I asked for one but he responded with "we don't actually know the recipes, the computer prints them" The place is really really gross. I've made many attempts to contact customer care but nothing works. I think the health department should be contacted. This location is a total joke! read more

"U R a Fag"....On the morning Nov 3rd I took my two daughters for a morning smoothie. We ordered, got the smoothies and started to drive home....then my 9 yr old daughter says "dad, look they wrote something on my cup" ..... she then read the message on her cup and guess what it said? "U R a Fag"( see below) . I spoke with ownership and they brushed it off as a 'joke' and did not acknowledge how offensive the slur was especially when pointed at a nine year old girl. If I could rate lower than 1 star I would.... customer service was awful the 2 little blonde gremlins who were closing up the night I came in were very rude. Did not greet when we walked in and soapy water spilled all over the floor 45 mins before closing time. (Safety Hazard!!) left a mop bucket in front of the door almost like they were trying to make customers go away. I'm writing this review as I sit here waiting for my smoothie I have ordered 20 minutes ago and was waiting in line to order for 20 minutes before that. The girl here working is very nice and I don't know how she hasn't walked out, numerous people have walked in joined the line then walked out. There is one girl here working and it's not the only time it's like this. A few days ago I was one that joined the line then left and it was the same girl working alone. I have counted 4 people come in and leave as I have been writing this review. This shows very poor business ownership I read reviews and saw the owner used to reply to reviews but where is she when her employees need help? Not here working if you own a business and can't get anyone to staff your business you should be here working. People here are nice and they are pretty quick. Although, I don't mind waiting. I'm not a very impatient person. They get it right every time and it's clean inside. Signs on the outside of the store advertise the state mask requirement but none of the employees making the smoothies were wearing them. We often order smoothies here sometimes through the dash app & other times we go here in person. The staff is always polite & knowledgeable. If your order isn't right they will make sure that you are happy when you leave & they will do everything they can to make it right. I am shock I'm having to write a bad review, normally when I come here they get everything on point. But today I ordered online and arrived to store 14 mins earlier then set pick up time. When walking in the door there are other customers about 5 standing around while 3 employees are behind counter talking to each other not one was making a drink or working. The the girl working asked me can she help me I stated I had a mobile order and she states we didn't get it are you even sure you ordered from right store with a attitude so i go to pull up my email to show and she was gone and the young man working went to get paper to write it down. But then all of sudden that rude girl yells my name across store saying that you. I was like yup... then she states well your pick up time is 1230, at this point it's 1219p I said yes and I'm OK with waiting. Then she said to a coworker "she is rude as F*** hope her child don't turn out like her". At this point I just kept quite as I don't entertain childless. But the fact my 12 year old child heard this is not OK. So then here comes the drinks I had order one being 20oz when I paid for 40oz, they state oh my bad I made a 40oz but placed in a 20oz I'll fix it. Well let's say that drink was awful they must have added triple the amount of booster in it that all I can taste in 2 of 3 of my drinks. Went in on a Saturday afternoon and waited over 20 minutes for two lean one smoothies. There were about eight people in line, one girl taking orders, another making drinks and one mopping the floor. Smoothies had chunks of uncrushed almonds and ice. They were so thick we could barely drink them with a straw. Super disappointed. It's hard to call the smoothies at Smoothie King healthy because they add sugar or stevia to nearly every smoothie on the menu. I ordered the Açaí Adventure smoothie and threw it out after a few sips because it was way too sweet! After throwing away the drink, I checked the nutrition information online and learned my smoothie had 75 grams of sugar in it. I am sad I have to leave this review, I was hoping things would get better from the last few times I've been in, but they haven't. Each time I get a smoothie, there's always something wrong with it. Either the consistency of the smoothie is too thick and chunky with ice, or it's too watery. Also the flavors are always off, almost like they aren't portioning the ingredients correctly. The frustrating thing about it all, is I used to be a manager/supervisor at this exact Smoothie King, I've tried all the smoothies on the menu. I know what they should look like and taste like. So it's really disappointing when my smoothie comes out wrong, especially since I believe Smoothie King to have the best smoothies so I crave them. I really hope this improves because no matter how nice the staff is, (which they all are beyond kind), if the smoothie doesn't look and taste right people will stop coming. Today I ordered 2 medium (32oz) smoothies, one was a peanut power chocolate, the other was a strawberry blueberry Greek yogurt. The peanut power came out alright, a bit light in flavor, but the strawberry blueberry greek yogurt smoothie came out tasting like watery Greek yogurt. No fruit flavor what so ever, and when I asked the kind staff member to maybe add blueberries for flavor, they added a small scoop of the actual fruit then poured in a bunch of the juice at the bottom of the blueberry container, which because I've worked there before, I know it's just the condensation from the blueberries thawing. This was so unsatisfactory in consistency and flavor I had to THROW MY SMOOTHIE AWAY. I barely even drank it. Please please please, do better. Especially if you're going ti charge that much for a smoothie, people (including me) will feel like they have been scammed. read more

I went here for the first time but have no recollection of it whatsoever. My mom took me here after surgery and I was doped up on pain meds. It might have been the meds that made the smoothie taste so good but I will be coming back as it was probably the best smoothie I've ever had. Disaster. First off, they have days were they just close because they can't keep their help. What does that say? I've gone on multiple occasions and they have a sign that they are closed," no staff". Today, and this is the fifth time I've gone and they are "out" of fruit. Today was strawberries. And it was told after I bought two for $19.00. I should've just got my money back. My mistake. So I came up with one that didn't include strawberries. The kid made it who was sweet showed me the smoothie and said it's too chunky I will add more water and a banana. Now I'm worried. I told him not very much. I saw him keep going back and adding water. While that was happening the other smoothie was just made without strawberries. Which I had to ask him did you just make without , he said yea. Omg. Who knows how this will taste. I got the smoothies and barely made it to my car the taste was HORRIBLE. Yep watered down banana water. Which was suppose to be the coffee drink. I went back they remade. And the new guy that made it I told him that I really wanted the other smoothie but your out of strawberries. He said causally no he just doesn't know where they are. Smoothie King do better. I grew up going to Smoothie King in Texas so I was excited that we have one in Castle Rock. They have a large selection and the smoothies taste great. Unfortunately I have been to this location about 7 times. Most of time I have had to wait over 10 minutes or more. And, 6 out of the 7 times my smoothie was made incorrectly with large chunks of ice mixed throughout. The staff has always been attentive if I bring it to their attention. Hopefully they will improve with experience. read more
