From start to finish, Aaron brought the energy, enthusiasm, and expertise that made our wedding reception truly unforgettable. As a DJ, Aaron did an exceptional job personalizing the music to our tastes. He took the time to understand our preferences and crafted a playlist that perfectly captured the vibe we were going for. Not only that, but Aaron also seamlessly incorporated our guests' song requests, ensuring that everyone had a chance to hit the dance floor and dance to their favorite tunes. In addition to their skills as a DJ, Aaron also served as a fantastic MC for the evening. His charismatic personality and polished professionalism shone through as he guided our guests through the evening's festivities, from introductions to special dances and cake cutting. One of the things that impressed us most about Aaron was his attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond to make our wedding day special. He took the time to meet with us beforehand to discuss our music preferences and detailed out our reception timeline, and then executed everything flawlessly on the big day. Aaron also made sure that our officiant (a friend who we asked to perform our ceremony for us) was coached to help guide our guests with the correct queues to help transition everything seamlessly. To anyone in search of the perfect DJ/MC for their wedding or special event, look no further than Aaron at Uptown Sound. His talent, professionalism, and infectious energy will undoubtedly take your celebration to the next level. Thank you, Aaron, for being such an integral part of our special day!

Sound Sensations was probably the quickest thing we booked and knocked off our to-do list just because of how personable Eryk was and how he constantly communicated through the whole thing! He was also so great in the weeks leading up to the wedding and the day of the wedding with last minute changes. Because of him, the dance floor and the way he matched the entire vibe of us and the guests were so memorable. Highly recommend booking!!

He claims it was based on how many songs I had already sung, but those of us who have done this before know that's not true. (I only sang 3 songs by myself and stood on the stage for 2 others to get my roomie up there singing) Now, I really was not that upset about it until the girl in front of me finished singing and then the owners of the restaurant got up and sand two songs. Excuse me, but who is making sure the bills get paid? I believe that would be the customers. Now that I'm done complaining...That DJ Guy has great equipment, is very friendly, fun sound effects and a few props. I really enjoyed the karaoke and everyone sounded great, even if they weren't. If I ever get an apology, I just might sing with him again. 03/31/12 Update, over the last couple of years I have enjoyed sharing That DJ guys with my friends. I will miss him when I move to Arkansas in May. Thanks for the comment, Pete, my mom will be thrilled.

The man in charge of the sound did not know what he was doing and it showed throughout the reception. The aux from the sound system also messed up and my brother ended up taking a corded microphone and putting it to the projector. This was a wedding reception for 400 people. The sound system made the event look cheap and dysfunctional. The worst part of this was when I contacted Steve. He apologized for the ordeal but his solution to the mistake on his part was a $50 refund... We spent over $2000 on the setup. I really liked working with Steve prior to all this. However, this was not how I wanted my wedding reception to turn out.

To give you an idea, this was a Gujarati and Malayalee wedding, but we had a broad range of ages and cultures in our guestlist. DJ Skillz had them ALL on the dancefloor! I'm talking our 80 year young grandmothers, the Priestess, the Pastor, they were all busting moves. The atmosphere Skillz created with his music was exactly the kind of vibe we were hoping for. Both Desi and non-Desi guests have told us they had such an amazing time on the dancefloor, and wished the dancefloor was open longer!
