When I brought this to their attention, I was assured that my card information would be removed from the incorrect account and that the issue had been resolved. Despite those assurances, my debit card was charged again. This second charge occurred after I had already notified the staff of the mistake and after I was specifically told that my card information would be deleted. As a result, I spent a significant portion of my vacation dealing with a problem that should never have happened in the first place. Not only did these errors create financial stress and inconvenience, but they also ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. I trusted your staff to correct the mistake after it was first reported, and unfortunately that trust was misplaced when my card was charged again. I believe it is unreasonable for me to bear the consequences of repeated errors made by the office, particularly after I had notified you of the problem and received assurances that it had been corrected. For these reasons, I respectfully requested a refund and I was denied and told that it was my banks fault for letting the transactions to occur. They won't take accountability and refuse to work with me. This was my debit card that was charged and over $400 and was on hold for a total of 8 days. My bank cancelled my card. Just one headache after another because of all of this. I feel as though they should've accommodated me seeing how their actions and failure to pay attention caused all of this.

There's a rafting company right next door and it's fun to watch the people come down the river. There is a cement patio and a dog park for Freckles. She was very anxious driving through Atlanta with all the traffic and big trucks all around us. But the beauty and calmness of this campground can make anyone relax. It's so close to the national park and other off-site adventures, but you could easily have a stay-cation here and never leave! Wi-fi is included and worked great. One tip - if you plan to cook over the fire, get plenty of firewood because their fire pits are quite deep and the cooking grate height cannot be adjusted. Our bikes (adults and kids) fish tailed a lot when riding around in the gravel to get to the paved parts that were around the rest of the campground (all of the other roads are paved to cabins and tiny houses, etc.). - The signs for the hot tub could be better placed. There were kids in the hot tub at the top of the stairs but there is sign that says adults only on the gate when you first walk up. On the back of the gate it says adults can ask kids to leave. My kids thought they were not allowed in the area at all because of the sign on the front of the gate. (My kids who don't splash or cause a ruckus.) My 11yo recommends switching the signs so it says that adults may ask kids to leave when you walk up, instead of "adults only". - Also, locks on the shower stall doors would be awesome too. When we were in there taking showers, people would yell "is someone in this one?" - because the doors didn't have locks and it was hard to tell which was taken. The bathrooms were nice and pretty clean, stalls were kind of small when helping a child (not much room to move around). - WiFi could be better. Overall, it was fun and we will be back. I would probably give it 5 stars once the RV loops are paved so it's safer to ride bikes throughout the entire campground. We saw kids walking their bikes out of the RV loops because it was so unsafe. I had some close calls a few times and I've been riding bikes for almost 40 years! We enjoyed the Capt'n Mac's Seafood and Grill food truck there for Memorial Day weekend.

Stayed at Lazy Daze campground, as we were meeting up with some family while they were on vacation…read moreand they had their RV at the campground. We stayed in the small cabins that they have at the campground. Now for what you pay to stay in the little cabin, you would be better off staying in a decent hotel for the same price. The cabins would be better suited for a Hobbit and even they would find them too small! The cabin has a VERY SMALL living room, which is also the kitchen and dining area. You have a futon, tiny table, kitchen sink, small fridge, microwave, small stove, some cabinets that have cups, pots, pans, plates and knife and forks. I do admit that the kitchen area was clean and tidy. There is also a small tv in there too. The bedroom and it is just the one bedroom, has just a double bed in it and that's it. There is a small sink in there that is to one side. the bathroom I could just get in there, has a toilet and opposite it is the shower. Honestly, I would rather have stayed in a nice hotel room, as the price we paid to stay here, we would have been much more comfortable. Although apart for being rather over priced for what you get, at least I got a good nights sleep in there. The campsite it's self is nice. The lots at the back of the campsite are the nicest, as they are right by the river. They have all the hookups you need for your RV. Also each lot has a covered table and benches for you to sit at. There is a onsite shower room, swimming pool and small game room for the kids. The lobby area does sell a few essential items that you can by, such as hygiene products and food but as the price is marked up considerably, you would still be better off driving down the road to the grocery store. This camp ground is located in a beautiful area in the Smoky Mountains and is not too far from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. All in all, if you stay at this camping ground, then stay using a RV, as you will get a better experience. If you do not have a RV, then stay at a hotel or just rent a nice cabin of your own and not one of the little huts.

We stayed at Lazy Daze campground Oct 6-9. We were supposed to stay Oct 6-10. Our campsite was…read more#41. On the 7th, we noticed a wet spot at our campsite, which we did not think much of. Over the course of the next day, we noticed the wet spot would come and go and began to smell like sewage. The evening of the 8th, the spot became very bad and I notified staff. We then began to notice that our hookup from our camper to the campsite septic did not drain (and would overflow) and started to determine that there was a broken line and backup in the campground's system. The staff explained to us that it was because of many campers draining their tanks and that it was "normal" and would go away. Lazy Daze had their tank pumped on the 8th and the issue continued on the 9th at our site. We decided to leave as the site was unsafe - sewage was draining into our site - into our outside personal property - some of which we disposed of. I contacted the campground on the 12th to find a resolution. First, the campground said they would not provide a refund for the day that we did not stay. This is frustrating, as we left due to health concerns of the property. Secondly, they made a NEW reason as to why the issue occurred in the first place - rain early in the week, which did not happened - and can be proven looking at weather reports. In the end (10/16), I was able to obtain a refund for the site for one day (even though we had sewage issues our entire stay). Please keep in mind, they did not have any other sites open and nowhere else for us to relocate to - we were forced to stay in site 41. Lazy Dazes did not hold any responsibility for our damaged property. The sewage made it's way directly into the river, which is where many kids (including ours) were playing. Kids were riding bikes through the puddles of sewage, which did not have any signage of danger. On top of standard health concerns for humans, animals, and the environment, we have COVID which *SHOULD* add heightened concerned to any responsible business. In this case, I saw none.

This area of Townsend is beautiful and the trails fit well into the natural habitat. Riders must first sign a waiver before attempting the trails. They delivered fire wood to campsite. There is a nice river a few hundred feet from your camp site. Pretty fast Wi-Fi and it's pretty close to run back to Marysville from camp site. Good road back towards Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg from here. Lots of good restaurants on this side of mountain, without having to deal with the traffic on other side of mountain. Would come back here anytime. They will store your camper for $70 a month in back of site & bring to your rented site on next visit. You couldn't pull a camper back & forth under $70. They also have a few cabins on the River...
