We stayed at Lazy Daze campground Oct 6-9. We were supposed to stay Oct 6-10. Our campsite was #41. On the 7th, we noticed a wet spot at our campsite, which we did not think much of. Over the course of the next day, we noticed the wet spot would come and go and began to smell like sewage. The evening of the 8th, the spot became very bad and I notified staff. We then began to notice that our hookup from our camper to the campsite septic did not drain (and would overflow) and started to determine that there was a broken line and backup in the campground's system. The staff explained to us that it was because of many campers draining their tanks and that it was "normal" and would go away. Lazy Daze had their tank pumped on the 8th and the issue continued on the 9th at our site. We decided to leave as the site was unsafe - sewage was draining into our site - into our outside personal property - some of which we disposed of. I contacted the campground on the 12th to find a resolution. First, the campground said they would not provide a refund for the day that we did not stay. This is frustrating, as we left due to health concerns of the property. Secondly, they made a NEW reason as to why the issue occurred in the first place - rain early in the week, which did not happened - and can be proven looking at weather reports. In the end (10/16), I was able to obtain a refund for the site for one day (even though we had sewage issues our entire stay). Please keep in mind, they did not have any other sites open and nowhere else for us to relocate to - we were forced to stay in site 41. Lazy Dazes did not hold any responsibility for our damaged property. The sewage made it's way directly into the river, which is where many kids (including ours) were playing. Kids were riding bikes through the puddles of sewage, which did not have any signage of danger. On top of standard health concerns for humans, animals, and the environment, we have COVID which *SHOULD* add heightened concerned to any responsible business. In this case, I saw none. read more

We came down this weekend to spend time with our family in our new camper. We book this back in March. When we arrived they had moved our site to a different one. The site they place us in was right beside the bath house. The sewer was backed up into our site. They tried to fix it multiple times it was still not draining. We received multiple excuses. Also after we park our camper we find multiple screws laying in the ground. Upon arrival we noticed that this was a camp ground for older campers living there. Staff was nice but really did not fix the problems. We love camping but felt like we really could not set up our things do to the sewer problem. We made the best of our weekend and send most of our time in Gatlinburg pigeon Forge area. read more

***PLEASE READ BEFORE STAYING HERE*** We reserved a spot here at Lazy Daze for a whole month while my husband was in town working. We arrived in 2.21.2021 and immediately felt uncomfortable upon pulling in. There were several very run down campers as well as just "junk" cars and trailers at the front entrance. We checked in and went on to our spot which was by the river. The spot was gorgeous so we figured we would deal with the "clutter". The next morning after venturing around the campground a little we discovered it was a GLORIFIED TRAILER PARK, with the run down campers actually being permanent residence. Kids playing in the streets and screaming constantly. We even heard gunshots on 2 separate nights. On Saturday morning of 2.27.2021 we went out to leave and the sewers were spewing over. The one beside our spot was spouting out of the pipe and flowing across our site and right down into the river behind us. DISGUSTING. I called the office and they couldn't get anyone out to pump it until Sunday morning, which they did. They blamed it on the rain that occurred that week. But not even a week later on 3.5.2021 it happened again. This time they blamed it on someone leaving their faucet drip to prevent pipes bursting. I called the front office and asked if this was going to continue to be a problem because the smell was HORRENDOUS, let alone the health hazard of FECES puddling beside and in front of our camper. They assured me "This has never happened and we normally only have our septic pumped 3 times a year". So we stayed. And shocker, it happened AGAIN on 3.11.2021. After calling the front desk again, they had no solution other than pumping it again. Which was in a timely manner, then they proceeded to use a tractor to drag the gravel, that was previously covered in sewage, in front of our camper and throughout the campground. Which we had to walk through as well as our dog. MAJOR HEALTH HAZARD. I immediately found somewhere else to go and ended up leaving today, 3.16.2021, which was a entire week early because I fear for my families health. After having so many issues I began reading other reviews and this has been going on for year. And they gave the same excuses to the other people, too much rain/leaky toilet etc. Please use caution when staying here. read more

I feel bad for saying this but, I don't want others to be as surprised as we were... saying this is a campground is a over-statement. It's a park with probably 90% of permanent residents and maybe 5 "Camping" spots. The residents there that are permanent are mostly friendly but the look of the park really shows. It's not exactly a place I would go to again, especially when there are much nicer parks that are more geared towards the camping feel. read more

Dryer didn't work in the cabin. Chairs on the porch need to be updated. Hot tub needed to be cleaned better(water was dirty when cover was pulled back). Lights on porch need to be replaced. read more

Stayed at Lazy Daze campground, as we were meeting up with some family while they were on vacation and they had their RV at the campground. We stayed in the small cabins that they have at the campground. Now for what you pay to stay in the little cabin, you would be better off staying in a decent hotel for the same price. The cabins would be better suited for a Hobbit and even they would find them too small! The cabin has a VERY SMALL living room, which is also the kitchen and dining area. You have a futon, tiny table, kitchen sink, small fridge, microwave, small stove, some cabinets that have cups, pots, pans, plates and knife and forks. I do admit that the kitchen area was clean and tidy. There is also a small tv in there too. The bedroom and it is just the one bedroom, has just a double bed in it and that's it. There is a small sink in there that is to one side. the bathroom I could just get in there, has a toilet and opposite it is the shower. Honestly, I would rather have stayed in a nice hotel room, as the price we paid to stay here, we would have been much more comfortable. Although apart for being rather over priced for what you get, at least I got a good nights sleep in there. The campsite it's self is nice. The lots at the back of the campsite are the nicest, as they are right by the river. They have all the hookups you need for your RV. Also each lot has a covered table and benches for you to sit at. There is a onsite shower room, swimming pool and small game room for the kids. The lobby area does sell a few essential items that you can by, such as hygiene products and food but as the price is marked up considerably, you would still be better off driving down the road to the grocery store. This camp ground is located in a beautiful area in the Smoky Mountains and is not too far from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. All in all, if you stay at this camping ground, then stay using a RV, as you will get a better experience. If you do not have a RV, then stay at a hotel or just rent a nice cabin of your own and not one of the little huts. read more

We were on out motorcycles and stayed here. We booked a cabin for 8 days. This place is not worth the money. They gave us 1 towel and wash cloth a piece for 8 days and told us to wash them if we needed to. The cabins are very out dated and not clean at all. We ask to get refunded for 2 days since there was major storms moving in and were told that we couldn't be refunded because she had cancellations for the weekend due to the storms... Older campground that needs remodel. Quite a few long term units with the resulting clutter around their sites. Owner left young girl (15?) in charge when we checked in. She was way over her head. Couldnt operate credit card. Didnt have a clue about assigning sites. She was more interested in telling us she had to work after school, how expensive her mascara and make up cost, that Pigeon Forge now had a Margaritaville , etc. Owners should know better than leave an immature, ill-trained young kid running their business. We'll never stay here again. There are a lot better campgrounds in the area. read more

We didn't camp here but we did shower. We were camping in the national park camp ground that doesn't have showers and after five days we need one! So we went searching for someplace to let us shower. Lazy Daze let us shower for $5 a person. The showers were nice. Good pressure. Hot water. And a clean bathroom. Bathrooms and showers were not ADA. The people working the front and landscaping were nice and polite. Its a standard private RV campground. Pool looked nice. Place was clean. read more

We visited this campground and we liked it so much we decided to move here permanently. The views are absolutely breath taking, You are surrounded by mountains and are not far from Gatlenburge, Pigeon Forge, and Dollywood, The owner is extremely nice and is more than happy to help you out in any way they can.
