This place is the real deal...excellent slow cooked smoked BBQ!!! I researched a ton of restaurants within 1.5 hours of Lincoln, NH (we are here for a week in May 2025) and this place made the list of "hopefully we can work in" and gladly we did!!! Jackson was a great and upbeat server, so good I would ask for him by name! The vibe of the joint is very comfortable and inviting... They had good music on and it's got an outside porch although we ate inside because it was on the warm side. I've had a lot of barbecue and I know it's good bye any standards... But for New England, it might be the very best I've had... The brisket, the pulled pork, and the ribs were all outstanding! I consider the Mac very good. The slaw was good, not exceptional like the other stuff, but that's probably a taste preference. And while I'm not gonna say that this place is cheap, but barbecue can be very very expensive in 2025, this seemed fairly priced. I never say that anymore. Fried chicken with maple bacon, apple coleslaw, fried pickles and jalapeños with a chipotle dressing . Surprisingly very good combinations. Waiter was very pleasant and attentive. Wow! Wow! Wow! So much praise for this place! We were passing through on our way to Vermont and it was right on our route at the perfect time. We had to wait a little while for a table if we didn't want to sit at the bar. We waited patiently and we're all glad we did (me, my mom and my husband). My husband and I split the Brisket Burger and it was so good I had to go to the window and tell the cooks! My mom got tired of my comments, which were constantly coming out of my mouth- "Oh my gosh, this is so good!" "This is the best burger I've ever had!!"etc, etc. It seemed impossible to be able to eat it with all that was stacked on it but once I cut it in half it became do-able! My mom ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was huge too. She said she loved it. Our server, Chantel, was stretched thin but super nice and efficient in spite of the work load. What a great experience. First off, its a cool restaurant inside. The food is certainly above average. The brisket is incredible and the house smoked corned beef was delish. They make there own coleslaw which is a detail i love. The kids menu is very good. We had a party of 6 adults and 5 kids and our server, Chantelle was a friggin ROCKSTAR. Juggled drink orders, food, and even OFFERED to do seperate checks. Ask for her section. The best part? They offer a 10% discount for CASH. WHY WOULD YOU PAY ANY OTHER WAY? If i HAD to come up with a negative, the only thing i can think of is they dont have their brisket as an entree or a ala cart offering. But seriously, thats about it. 5 stars. If you like barbecue, this is the place for you. The food here is incredible, and the atmosphere is very charming and countrified. The servers are all so friendly and welcoming, and they are constantly making sure you have what you need and when you need it. The wait to seat sometimes depends on the day, but when you're in there on a friday night you should come expecting to wait a bit, and the wait is well worth it! the prices are just about on par and fair for the food, and the quality of the food is very high and while it's super filling it's worth every penny. read more

My wife had the steak tips, ordered rare, cooked to perfection. It said Bourbon Glaze, and they meant it. Heavy boozie taste- so she didn't appreciate it as much as some would have. I like the rustic ambience of the place. During clement weather you have the option of eating outside in sight of the Israel River. (Note, however, that you can not have alcohol out of doors. Both my wife and I choose the Ugly Brisket Melt for lunch. The sandwich is served on grilled garlic toast with cheddar cheese, apricot BBQ sauce, caramelized onions and apple coleslaw. You also get fries and a pickle. (cottage cheese, more apple coleslaw, smoked beans and other potato sides can be substituted for the fries, though the fries are good.) There's a lot on this sandwich, but the delicious brisket shines through with plenty of smoke. Ribs and pulled pork are also on the menu, but the brisket was so good that I would probably opt for that again. Yeah, it's good enough to add another half-star. You will smell the smoke a few seconds before you see this happy and happenin' little BBQ trailer on the side of Rt 2 at the Lancaster roundabout/rotary. The smoke is all you need to lead you into the parking lot of this picnic place. The pulled pork sammie was on an outstading bun with a wash/dip that gives it a nice coating that compliments every bite. The apricot BBQ sauce is a sweet, thin sauce that goes well on the pork as well as the tender, meaty ribs and the "Moinkballs" (meatballs wrapped in bacon and then smoked!!!!!) Smoked beans were also excellent. Cornbread was okay. Bottled sodas. Apple coleslaw. Overall a nice smokin' spot with several picnic tables at which to consume your meaty goodness. We got ours to go and brought it just down the road to the municipal park where a few picnic tables overlook the rocky riverside. Good food for a good lunch experience. read more

Went to food truck last year at this time, enjoyed it. Now they expanded to a full restaurant and bar. Service was good and restaurant covid compliant. Food was was pretty decent. Had regular nachos as appetizer. Chips were thick but held up under cheese and jalapeños were fresh. Also had buffalo wings well done. Very juicy with a Buffalo sauce not overly spicy and had sweet notes from smoking sauce. Wife enjoyed them, just needed to be a little spicier. Had brisket sandwich, brisket was very very good. Wife had pulled pork sandwich . She liked it except the coleslaw on bottom of roll made it very soggy. She loved the pulled pork itself. Hand cut French fries that came with it were about the best we ever had. Then comes the worst thing we ever had. The beer batter onion rings came out piping hot, bathed I mean bathed in grease. They tasted ok but they probably needed to refill the fryer with oil after that order. Other than onion rings well worth the trip. read more

I love the new Brick and Mortar location! The food is as delicious as it has always been, and the added benefit of the bar is fantastic. Great selection of local and standard beers, with worthwhile pours and affordable cocktails and a good wine selection. The Country Fried Chicken and housemade Apple Slaw was out of this world. The Fish and Chips were excellent, we loved the homemade tartar sauce and the hand cut fries! Great location with plenty of parking. I look forward to having friends and family up to Visit and share a great dining experience. read more
