Big Guys opened very recently in Berlin, serving lunch and dinner in the Pratti Mechanical building. The casual space is cozy which is an order at the counter place with a few booths and tables for eating in. They offer crafted 10" pizzas, hot & cold subs, sandwiches, wraps, salads, fried appetizers, wings, pasta dinners, seafood, steak tips, chicken entrees, small desserts, and cooler drinks (Pepsi products). They offer pizza slices during lunch hours. The prices seem fair.
I stopped by recently for dinner takeout and placed an online order on the Toast app. I ordered the Fish & Chips and a Spaghetti & Meatballs dinner. There is a 3 percent charge if paying by card or online. My food was all set in about 15 minutes after ordering.
The portions were very generous for both dinner. The Spaghetti & Meatballs had 6 firm meatballs with al dente spaghetti and a thick hearty tomato sauce. The side salad had a mix of romaine, chopped tomatoes, cucumber, red onions and an Italian dressing packet on the side. The toasted slice of garlic bread was firm and buttery. The fish & chips had 2.5 pieces of fried breaded haddock, fresh cut fries, and a side of cole slaw. The fried haddock and fries were hot and not too greasy. The cole slaw had a shredded mix of cabbage, red cabbage and carrots.
The food I had was enjoyable and tasty for a big dinner with leftovers. I will try to come back again if I'm heading through the Berlin Gorham area on one of my work field trips. read more
