But after our guest list grew, we had to move locations and our venue was no longer within their catering vicinity. I searched high and low for different vendors that fit the fusion that we wanted, but couldn't find anything that fit just right (or that didn't break the bank). Then I somehow stumbled across Rebel Catering on Google. They had a wide variety of packages for food varying from Asian, to bbq, to Mexican. They didn't have a ton of reviews, and it seemed like they mostly did corporate events, but I gave them a call. I'll be honest, I was a bit apprehensive of how incredibly chill Rahul is at first (because I was already stressed out), but when I told him about our vision, he immediately checked with his chefs and created an incredible menu for us. My mom and mother in law's primary request was copycats of the other restaurant's corn fritters, and he even delivered on that. I'll attach a picture of the menu, but our minds were blown at the quality and freshness of the food. Buffet style brisket is HARD and he and his team crushed it. I even had friends with allergies and he accommodated them without question. The most popular part of the night though was the shaved ice. Part of Rebel Catering is their shaved ice package with alcoholic shaved ice (TABC bartender included). They had custom flavors to match our Asian fusion theme, and even brought their truck in to serve our guests! They also created a custom flavor named after our cat and created a sign with a cute cartoon of him. They also had tons of other drinks including sodas, jelly drinks, boba drinks, and energy drinks. TLDR: HIRE REBEL CATERING. Your guests will love you forever.

First is the Owl Wine Bar & Home Goods. This store was simply adorable! It is tastefully decorated and stocked with an amazing inventory including hand stitched pillows. Reasonably priced too. I ordered a wine based daiquiri to sip on while shopping. Ended up buying some sage/palo santo incense for prayer time. I could've done some damage to the pocketbook here, but held off this time. At the wine bar, we met a local and asked for brunch recommendations. He pointed towards the Firewild restaurant just down the street. It wasn't much of walk to get there. Once inside, talk about an adorable eating establishment! The interior gives off a mix an industrial and farmhouse vibe. Most of the food is locally sourced. You order at the counter from a simple menu and find a seat. The tables are tastefully decorated with small, real flower center pieces. While waiting for the main course, we decided to whet our appetites with a scrumptious pecan, chocolate chip cookie. Next was the main dish. Y'all, the food was amazing! The cheeseburgers were thick and juicy with quality toppings inside. Not that white iceberg lettuce crap. One bite was all it took to send my tastebuds dancing. It was complimented by an order of homemade potato wedges. For veggies, we chose a beet salad. It was an excellent choice as it was divinely layered with candied pecans. For an extra bonus, you can pop some tags shopping at the Lion's Club thrift store. Purchases there benefit the community via scholarships and helping needy families. Small town, good shopping & great food - I am here for it!

If you're looking for bold, unforgettable flavor--this place absolutely delivers…read more We started with the macaroni balls, and they were HUGE. Crispy on the outside, golden and crunchy, with a cheesy, gooey center that tasted like true homemade mac & cheese. Already off to a strong start. Then came the chicken and waffles... and let me just say: the chicken is a 1000/5. Perfectly crispy, well-seasoned breading with juicy, tender meat inside. Every bite was packed with flavor. The waffle was soft, fluffy, buttery, and cooked just right--paired perfectly with the chicken. I also tried the gumbo (added shrimp). The flavor was definitely there, rich and well-developed with a great consistency on the roux. For me personally, it was just a tad on the salty side--but honestly, not enough to take away from the overall experience. Even the cabbage was seasoned perfectly and cooked just right--nothing on the table was bland. This is one of those spots where you can taste the care in every dish. Flavor everywhere, no shortcuts. Five stars all the way. I'll definitely be back.

Sign us up! This is a little gem that is apparently owned and run by some New Orleans raised folks, and the menu lovingly reflects those roots. Breakfast all day, and tons of other mouthwatering selections. At the recommendation of our server I ordered the Tenders and Waffles. There were so many hot, juicy and crispy tenders on a waffle sprinkled with powdered sugar and honey... and it was soooo good. The dining room was clean, the staff was on too of everything and super nice, and the food was great. We will be back!
