That was supposed to be a tamale....
    Stefanie D.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Stopped here coming home from the ren faire. We said we had a party of 7. They sat us at a table for 6. We told the server, she said she would get a chair. She did not. We had to get it. They gave us a total of 2 menus and zero drink menus for 7 people (they restaurant was almost empty they weren't out of menus). Then the waitress proceeded to look annoyed as hell when we didn't know what we wanted to drink...because we had no drink menus. So she ungraciously brought us...one. The drinks were fine if you got a Mexican martini- but the coco loco was horrific. It was coconut milk with red wine poured in essentially, and had already started to separate by the time it got to the table. The food was inedible. And I never say that. I could even cut my tamale with a knife because the meat was so dry and rubbery. My chicken taco was a plain, unheated tortilla with NOTHING in it but a few pieces of overcooked dry as hell chicken (when the person next me to also got a taco and theirs had lettuce, cheese and tomatoes). The rice was cold and unflavored. The enchiladas were burned and they give you two teeny tiny ones instead of three like most places. But the prices are right up there on the higher side. I couldn't wait to get the hell out of there and will NEVER return. If you do find yourself there for some terrible reason- the salsas are good. You're safe with that. But overall, drive the extra minutes and go to Casa Garcia down the road!

We love eating here! They are always fast in serving us and never have to look for the person waiting on us. There is always something on the menu to try. We have never been disappointed with our experience here. Great place, Great food and lots of room. Plus the place is always so clean!

Gross I ordered a nacho plate and the bean and cheese nachos. Nachos were made on tostada shells cut in half so 6 halves with jalapeños, scoop of guacamole on lettuce. Tostada shells are not nachos chips ‍ will not go back

Everything is just ok. Service, salsa, chips, meal- all ok. I know I'll be back if I crave a quesadilla but that's it.

It was alright. Looked way better than it tasted and the food came out cold. The margarita was weak... I don't even think there was any alcohol in that thang. I was disappointed with that cheese pull and lack of flavor the churro beans were perfect tho! The enchilada soup was good, kinda weird because I've never had it with mushrooms but it was tasty. We came and sat by the tv to watch the game, probably will come back to allow them to redeem themselves. During the week it stays pretty packed so maybe we caught them on a bad day.

We used to come here often, especially when they were in the small storefront next to the donut shop. I am so disappointed in the quality or lack thereof and the price. Their online prices do not match the price when you pick up your order. I ordered the fajitas Texanas for one, $19.99 ($3 more than posted online) and was charged an additional $3.50 for the "Texanas Sauce" which was watery and tasted sour. I received 8.5 very small, tough pieces of beef. The refried beans seem as if they were made days ago, dry, thick and crusty. The rice was undercooked and flavorless. The small queso advertised as $3.50 online was $8.99 and despite chips and salsa already being included (per front staff) the bag of chips I received was tiny, like the small brown paper bags they used to put beverages in at the gas station. If you're in the mood for quality Mexican food order from Azteca here in town or Restaurant Guadalajara in Manor. Morelia's was completely empty during dinner rush tonight (three tables, five guests) and I still waited 20 mins after my pick up time for my food to be ready. After getting the food home, I can definitely see why they were empty and why the prices have increased so much - lack of business. I won't ever be back.

If you blink driving through Elgin you will miss this wonderful restaurant. We were definitely getting hangry on our return trip, and Yelp thankfully directed us here. Since it was late at night, they were not busy. They do have daily specials, but we went our ole faithful, enchiladas. We did start with chips and salsa. These chips are solid and allow you to scoop up their slightly spicy and rich salsa. I ordered their Tex-Mex enchiladas. These are 3 large enchiladas. I ordered one of each chicken, beef, and cheese. They arrived stuffed to the gills and covered with awesome queso. The dish comes with a generous portion of beans and Mexican rice. Taqueria Guadalajara is the real deal, and we will definitely be returning on our next road trip. I left just like my enchiladas pleasantly "stuffed to the gills"! As others have mentioned, the building has seen better days, but the food and service are superb! ,

This is the only place we go to in Elgin for Mexican food because it is simply the best one and is always packed with locals. Food comes out hot and fresh each time. We love the breakfast tacos here and haven't had anything we haven't liked. It's a small restaurant so there is limited seating but service is fast. Do I recommend this place? It is a bit of a drive for me since it's in Elgin but very well worth it. They have a good variety of meats but my favorite is of course their buche. I initially came here for tacos but after having trying their buche quesadilla (sooo incredibly yummy!!!), I started getting that instead. For quesadillas you get an option of the size. I usually go with the large which they prepare with an 8" tortilla I believe. It usually fills me up. Outside of how delicious the food is, I love how they give you a side of grilled onions as part of the meal. I would put those into either the tacos or quesadilla for that extra flavor. Also, they provide 3 different sauces. This creamy green salsa sauce they have is soooo good. The food typically comes out fairly quick as well so that's also another plus.

It seemed to be two trucks combined, a lot of food options, it'll take you some time to look through the menus taped all over the trucks. There is some outdoor seating, but it was too hot during the day for us to have enjoyed our meal so we took our order to go. The young woman who took our order was very nice and kind in taking our order. I'm a big barbacoa fan so it's the first thing I looked for on the menu. I ordered a barbacoa torta with an horchata to drink. My picture might not make the torta look super appetizing, but it was GOOD. It's hard to find good barbacoa in Austin, but this one was what it should be--moist, tender with some of that "good grease." The bread was super soft and it was a good size for me. The horchata was a color we weren't used to seeing, but when we tried it we loved it! Super refreshing! We will definitely be making more stops here in the future to get our fixes. Would recommend checking it out!
