And we keep on coming back. It is fun, delicious and the ambiance inside the house and the gardens is optimized for enjoyment! Supper Friends offers a themed meal (usually dinners, sometimes brunch). It is normally a 5 course prefix menu that is carefully thought out. I'm particularly fond of their passed appetizers - they usually have 3 different types of delicious bites - that you can nibble on as you wait for guests to arrive and dinner to get served. There's an option to pair your meal with wines. The staff there is amazing from the wait staff, the sommelier, the chef, owner (including his family) - all very attentive and friendly! I initially spoke to Brandy over the phone and set up an appointment for her too see our space and discuss menu options. She brought along her assistant, Mia who would be our server/coordinator for the evening. They were prepared, professional, detailed oriented and helped us consider all our options including when to serve, what to serve and how much at what time. They had all the answers. Brandy was great communicating details before our event and on the day of the event Mia showed up exactly as planned. What an asset Mia is, her timing was perfect, she kept our kitchen organized and great food was plentiful at all times. Frankly Mia was so good that I didn't even notice she was around until after all our guests left and our kitchen was spotless. She was incredibly responsive through email and answered all of my questions. Our meetings were lax, and I never felt that she was trying to sell me anything that I didn't want or need. From working with our budget to tasting the menu, she was very flexible and accommodating. Unfortunately she had to move states in the middle of our interaction, but the handoff and transition to our second sales manager, Emily Malaya, was seamless and no information was dropped. Emily was just as wonderful, efficient both through email as well as in person. We completed working out all the details without issues and working with both Taylor and Emily was the most pleasant and least stressful experience of our wedding planning. When the first sales manager is excellent at her job, you wonder if she was just one-of-a-kind rock star. But when the second sales manager is equally as talented, you realize you're working with a great event planning company that knows how to hire and train. The day of the wedding has arrived and just when we thought Emily was incredibly valuable, she stepped it up a notch. From coordinating the procession to rounding up the wedding party to personally pinning on my boutonniere, she made sure every part of the ceremony was as flawless as possible, and any issues that popped up she handled it easily and calmly. You can clearly tell she's had a lot of experience under her belt. Honestly, who know how many fires Emily had put out that I don't even know about. We had multiple meetings and interactions with Morgan and Ruby. We were impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. We did a formal sit down dinner with cocktail hour prior. We also hired them to cook our late night food. Of all the vendors we hired we were not worried about Vestals delivering everything they promised. Sadly the night of the wedding was a completely different story. The service was extremely slow and chaotic. My guests were left wondering if they would ever get dinner and it made our wedding time line run way behind. The tables were not bused and the bartenders had to start grabbing glasses off tables since Vestals was not doing it. Waters were not refilled and it was an overall scene we never ever expected. Lastly they didn't cut the grooms cake and left it sitting on the cake table. I give them 2 stars because the food was good but honestly the service was less than 1 star. I warn other Austin brides that they will promise everything but deliver a different experience.
