First and foremost, the rudest front desk women ever. Not only were they rude when we called, she didn't call back when she said she would. When we finally spoke to her she blew off the fact that we requested someone to call us back she was so unprofessional I would never recommend this place. On top of all that, any professional butcher knows deer fat is rancid and should never be ground or included in the meat. The ground we got back was so riddled with it the meat taste is tanted and has an off taste. Before anyone says anything about wildgame, we are advid hunters and usually butcher ourselves however with temps being higher than normal and work we weren't able to. We would normally take it to our trusted guy but since we moved to the area they were way out of the way so we took a shot with someone local. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND WARN AGAINST ANYONE THINKING OF USING THEM. very dissatisfied with their game processing. I brought in About 50# of nicely cleaned and cubed White tail deer. I ordered all Italian sausage half smoked half sweet, vacuum packed in small packages. 2 weeks later received 56# of Pee and gut shot flavored Italian sausage Wrapped in paper. cost me $317 dollars. It definitely was not the same meat I had left with them. Unfortunately I didn't find out till I got home and tried cooking and eating some. Luckily I didn't give them the whole deer and I still have some good meat left for canning. I wont be going back to those crooks again. read more

Very disappointed with this company. I called them about buying some brats from them about 4 times now. The first call, the woman said they were processing pigs and would have brats the next week. Called the next week, and the same woman said they had none, but would have raw brats on Wednesday, as they ship them to Seattle for smoking on Thursday... she asked how many 4 brat packages I would like... I told her 2 packages. She said to call on Wednesday as she would have them for me then. I called Wednesday and reminded her that I was calling about the brats she told me they'd have for me... she tells me they ran out of brats, as their "brats just fly out door!" We have a couple pigs to process, but, will never call this company again. Lousy customer service! read more

My farm, Nature's Last Stand, has used Smokey Ridge for several years. The office staff is very friendly and offer helpful advice on butchering and processing options. The guys on the slaughter floor are experienced and respectful of the animals we bring in. True professionals. read more

If I could give it a negative star I would. Does this place even have a license to cut meat? Does the butcher even know what they are doing? This was the worse cut beef we have ever had. Four families went in on a full beef and each family was appalled! The hamburger was so full of gristle and tough, and the beef tased horrible. I'm convinced they took our beef and substited it with 10 year old beef or something. And for the price they charge, really outrageous. Never will any of our families be using them again!!!!! read more

I Will never use them again. dropped off a white tail a couple weeks Ago. she asked if i would like 50% roasts and steaks/ and 50% ground up. I said that would be great As I really like roasts. waited 2 weeks and never heard anything so I called them on a Friday, the lady said my meat is ready and I said great can I come pick it up? She said if u make it here in 30 min as they are closing.... it's about 2:30 on a Friday lol I said I'm working and won't be off for another couple hours. So the lady tells me Monday is my last day to pick it up and they're not open on weekends... she never even called to tell me it's ready. so I get off early on Monday and go to pick it up, she wheels it out and leaves Me to load it. Didn't even wait to take the cart back in. I ended up with all my meat ground up and I only had 7 packs of tiny little steaks. this place sucks. read more

Just tried the pork we had processed here and it's AMAZING!!! We have raised pork for many years and this was by far the best place ever! I don't ever like the bacon but this time it's so good! Would highly recommend Smokey Ridge Meats to all my friends!!! read more

My neighbor had pork processed there, shared some bacon with me and it was rancid. Then I bought some pork chops from a vendor at the farmer's market in Colville who has their pork processed at Smokey Ridge. One package was fine. The second one I opened (with two chops in it) had a problem. One chop was fine, the other had a distinctive, bad after taste. My boyfriend at several bites of the bad one before giving up. He had stomach issues all night long. This is pork from two different sources, but processed at Smokey Ridge. I want to love this place, but now find myself very wary. These chops were really expensive ($16 for two good sized chops), and I have 2 more packages, and some sausage in my freezer. I'm not sure I'm willing to even try them. :( read more

I live in Evans and Gallo meats is right down the street. After talking to various people I thought I would try Smokey Ridge meats. We had Ed come out to the property and he delivered the 2 hogs to Smokey Ridge Meats. We had a total of almost 570lbs. I love fresh pork, it took about 3 weeks and I picked up the meat in a freezer just to keep it frozen. All of the meat was great except for the bacon. Some of the bacon was the best I have had in a long time. Then after 2 packages the taste went rancid. I sent some to family and they said call them and let the butcher know since you spent over $600. I called and told them, I was told they would check the process and get back to me. After 2 weeks I called and I was told sorry nothing was found. They offered nothing, I even tried to offer them free bacon to try so we could figure this out. I didnt want any money back just answers, I didnt get any so I guess its my problem. So I rated 2 stars in customer service and willing to help. I guess I can feed it to the dogs little at a time.
