I was about to turn around and leave after purchasing my cigars for the evening and another patron invited me to go back outside where there was a group of regulars enjoying a cigar (s). I went in previously to check it out and it seemed OK and appeared to have a huge inventory. When I went in again recently to look at a few things including a nice Zippo lighter, I decided to buy it. I also got a few more items. When I got home and looked at the receipt, the only thing that was listed clearly was the lighter. All of the other items were not itemized and it was thrown together in a lump sum. I called them and questioned it because I felt like I was over charged. I also asked if I could return the lighter because I didn't want it. It was not used and still in the box. The guy on the phone said they have a no refund / return policy. He said it was on the receipt. I told him it was absolutely not stated on the receipt. I didn't see any signage stating that as well in the store. I understand consumable products might be logically subject to a no refund policy, but not the lighter. At that point I knew I was dealing with a sketchy business. Before the call ended he was obnoxious and called me - Karen. I called the other location to talk to the owner and I ended up talking to a clueless woman who didn't speak English. It's all beyond weird, pathetic and unprofessional. Let the Karma fairy deal with it.

Prices are pretty good, and they have a number of deals going on all the time that sometimes make things even better. In addition, they have a tasting area in a couple spots in the store. Another bonus they have is that they do a lot of trainings and classes so that you can learn food or drink making or a number of other things related to live in the good life. Store is really well kept and looks beautiful coming in, but obviously the focal point is the alcohol. The people there are always very helpful. I had two people stop by and ask if they could help me out in different sections of the store, and they walked by and did the same to everybody that was looking and didn't seem to have found what they were looking for.

On this visit, I was searching for a specific flavor of pretzels that Kiara told me about (the ones she gets on the plane), which are supposedly only sold at Total Wine. I saw other flavors in the store, but not the one I was looking for. The brand of the pretzels is Stellar and I was searching for the Maui Monk flavor. The website indicated that they had it in stock, so I asked a worker for help. Unfortunately, he was unhelpful and made me feel like I was bothering him, so I continued searching on my own. After some time looking on my own, I asked another employee, who was much more helpful. He took the time to check and explained that they were likely out of stock and that the online inventory isn't always accurate. He also mentioned how popular the pretzels are and that they sell out quickly--even he buys several when they come in. My husband was also looking for a small bottle of Cointreau, but they were out of that as well. I decided to try another flavor of the pretzels - Sweet and Sparky. These were good, had a spice to them with the buffalo flavoring. These bags are priced at $6.49. I'd like to eventually try the other flavors, including the one I was looking for. This visit was hit-or-miss in terms of customer service and item availability.

May sound insane to some but I had a wild day!
