Prices are pretty good, and they have a number of deals going on all the time that sometimes make things even better. In addition, they have a tasting area in a couple spots in the store. Another bonus they have is that they do a lot of trainings and classes so that you can learn food or drink making or a number of other things related to live in the good life. Store is really well kept and looks beautiful coming in, but obviously the focal point is the alcohol. The people there are always very helpful. We usually love coming to Total Wine & More because they almost always have everything we're looking for -- it really feels like a one-stop shop for all things liquor. On this visit, I was searching for a specific flavor of pretzels that Kiara told me about (the ones she gets on the plane), which are supposedly only sold at Total Wine. I saw other flavors in the store, but not the one I was looking for. The brand of the pretzels is Stellar and I was searching for the Maui Monk flavor. The website indicated that they had it in stock, so I asked a worker for help. Unfortunately, he was unhelpful and made me feel like I was bothering him, so I continued searching on my own. After some time looking on my own, I asked another employee, who was much more helpful. He took the time to check and explained that they were likely out of stock and that the online inventory isn't always accurate. He also mentioned how popular the pretzels are and that they sell out quickly--even he buys several when they come in. My husband was also looking for a small bottle of Cointreau, but they were out of that as well. I decided to try another flavor of the pretzels - Sweet and Sparky. These were good, had a spice to them with the buffalo flavoring. These bags are priced at $6.49. I'd like to eventually try the other flavors, including the one I was looking for. I saw my first Total Wine in Tucson many years ago and have since discontinued alcohol consumption due to the medications I have to take. So today, Black Friday, I was shopping for gifts. Yesterday, my family reminded me of the Avon and Greenwood locations and how all their friends remark at how low the prices are here. It didn't seem that crowded to me but it was festive including three women with Christmas hats and a grocery cart full of gifts. There was a station offering free wine samples that had a few folks checking them out. As soon as you enter, turn to the right and browse the locked floor to ceiling display racks. You'll see bottles of wine priced all the way up to $1500. Back in the day, I use to be quite the connoisseur of wine having studied the labels and vineyards in Europe and California. But there were so many labels I didn't recognize here it only shows how the industry has grown. It didn't take me long to find what I was looking for, a set of one red and one white wine in a gift box for only $25. But I continued to shop every aisle, even the huge selection of beer and ale. I did find a very fine wood gift box for wine lined with red velvet inside for only $19. It had room for an accessory or two like a corkscrew. They came in dark wood for reds I presume and a pine color box for the whites I guess. I almost went that route and may go down that road next year if this year's gift is a success. I can check my Wine Atlas for an upgraded label. They do have large multi-occupancy restrooms in the back that were clean and stocked. All of their check out lanes were open with cashiers. A man checked me out immediately with no waiting. The other lines were short. Parking was a non issue in the huge shopping center shared lot. read more

I didn't know that I could be wowed by a liquor store. It's not just any liquor store, it's like a Costco of liquor stores. My husband and I signed up for a pairing class that was offered in their group tasting room, for our anniversary. What an experience! We learned so much and tried a variety of different wines. The snacks were amazing also. I had already loved shopping here for the variety and the great prices, but the class put it over the top. We were in class with some of the associates (that were off the clock). I can tell they love what they so and they were super knowledgeable. I look forward to my next paring class for sparkling wines. read more

After a Saturday lunch with the travel club ladies--it's wine time! Actually, I have been on a search for a certain cognac that difficult to find in Indianapolis. This store has everything an Oenophilia could desire. AND, luckily for me, there's a wide selection of cognac in Aisle 10-but no clear Remy V (which is technically not a cognac, although marketed by Remy). That another story! What the holy 21st amendment. This place is a booze super store. I visited on a weekend during the holiday season and it was total chaos, but I loved it. There was carts flying everywhere, people giving out sample drinks all over the store, and any type/brand of liquor you would want. This place was packed. They have tons of parking available in the lot that it shares with the other businesses in the strip mall that it is in. In addition to liquor, they sell snacks, ice, and kitchen stuff. I found the alcohol infused whipped that I have been looking for here. They have a bunch of stuff that I never heard of or had not seen in a long time. The place is very clean and organized, but you still have to know what you are looking for. They do not have bags for your purchases. They do however, have boxes available that they can load your liquid goodies in, or you can bring your own. You have the option of ordering ahead and having it ready for you to pick up here, but I like to browse and see what is out there. The staff there was friendly, especially the cashier that checked me out. I am surprised that this was my first time here, and was very pleased with my trip. I was able to get in and out with everything that I needed and then some. So, I guess I will end my review with drink in moderation, have a designated driver and stay safe. read more

If you are in need of a firm of wine or spirits but can't decide what kind or for what occasion this is a place to check out! Once you enter you can see tall to the ceiling shelves full of assortments of wine and liquor. If you know what you are looking for then the signage is easy to follow, but if you want to browse it I'd like being a kid in a candy store. So many options! I like Greek wine which is reminiscent of a great trip to a Greek island and usually can't find it anywhere. But after asking a worker I was directed to the Greek wine selection and to my joy found my favorite Greek wine! There are classes offered, a tasting section (not opened this day) and various aisles full of options that I had never even heard of before. Lots to explore. I've been here a bunch and the last time I went we were looking at rum and Tanner came over and asked if we needed any help. He was awesome and recommended a different rum that was actually cheaper, told us a bunch about it and really took the time to answer our questions and. Yes it was cool it was a few dollars less expensive, but he recommended this rum bc it's actually so smooth and better than what we were gonna get. We presented a Choice gift card. This is a gift card that can be used at a variety of retailers and restaurants. This was the first time we used one. After the check out employee could not get the card to work, she called over the Store Manager for assistance. WHAT AN AMAZING AND KNOWLEDGEABLE MANAGER. Her name was Jamie T. and she went into action to see how she could resolve the problem. Total Wine and More is included on this card but the holder must go on line, enter the card's PIN and get a barcode to be used for the validation. We'll, Jamie did this for us at her computer and took the time to show this old senior how it works and was able to activate the value of the card. This is a massive liquor store similar to what Louisville has. It has even more selection than Big Red Cask Strength down the street. Lots of stuff you won't find anywhere else although the more mainstream stuff seems to be missing. Decent prices on everything is a big win. Maybe it is just growing pains or being short staffed but I don't think I have ever had to wait in line at a liquor store before. It wasn't much but it was a couple of minutes. This is not your typical in and out visit. Also, oddly enough, they seem to be confused by where they are. The sign inside says Greenwood but they really are in Indianapolis. Customer service and training. They followed me around the whole time I was in the store and then when I got to the register I was accused of stealing, which I obviously didn't. Their "proof" was I opened my little mini bag to put my phone away since I didn't have pockets. Their little "story" didn't add up, the employee, Jeff, was extremely rude and condescending towards me, and very disrespectful, unprofessional, and unapologetic after being proven wrong. Ok, this friggin place is an absolute home run! Total Wine took over the old Earth-fare building on country line road. Total Wine & More 'totally' remodeled the entire building. It looks fantastic with it's brand new facelift - It has a new modern rustic vibe. There is nothing boring about this place. It has a walk-in cigar humidor, walk-in beer cooler, a main tasting center and several other smaller tasting stations. The staff was tremendously friendly and helpful. The variety of Wine, Beer, Kegs, Bourbon , Scotch, Tequila, etc is the best in the area without question. The prices on most items that I usually purchase were similar to Costco prices. Total Wine has a large selection of unique snacks, drink mixes, accessories and the most mini-bottles I've ever seen. Stock up for your next flight! You could easily spend an afternoon in this place just perusing. We signed up for as a member through the total wine app and received a $5 off coupon. We will be back to use it soon. read more
