This place was a solid 3.5, though it was hella hard to find! Tip for finding it: be aware it's in the very back corner of a little outdoor strip mall, and the name is really "RealFood BBQ Smokehouse", so look for the sign that says predominantly RealFood. (See my picture for reference.) It's a very casual spot, with just a few tables inside and out. Staff is super friendly, and their English is good enough for those that aren't fluent in Spanish. They serve an interesting menu. It's a mix of healthy dishes and vegetables (hence the RealFood portion of the name), along with an array of BBQ items. Be aware, when the BBQ items are gone for the day, they're gone. I was disappointed they were out of the Baby Back Ribs when we went (that's my absolute fave), but I was pretty pleased with the Pulled Pork Sandwich I got instead. Pulled Pork is not something I'd normally associate with Cancun, but it was quite tasty! My friend got the Brisket, and that was also quite good. It looked a little darker than I'm used to, but it was a great cut of meat, and was very tender. Prices are quite reasonable, as it's not a tourist spot. My only complaint was they didn't serve beer. After a day of scuba diving, we were looking forward to ice cold beers and BBQ. I'll be back! read more
