This was a nice hookah lounge. I liked that the sofas were very comfortable and spread apart so you have enough privacy. We got the mango,guava and passionfruit mix and it was really good. The person working came and changed our charcoal multiple times without asking. It was about $28 with tax. Lasted almost 2 hours and we never felt rushed. Will defi go back. read more

It's Sunday night, on a long weekend... it's quiet and pretty chill. I haven't yet crossed a lounge that plays country music until today. Have to say it's not bad. The black tea is very good, and the Paan flavor is delicious! Staff were friendly, made suggestions, and really made my solo experience wonderful. $22 for a premium mix isn't bad at all. The coals were HOTT and the flavor strong :) what more could a girl ask for!? read more

Really good place. I think the server made all the difference. Sorry dunno his name but he is a bald dude with a beard. He suggested a mix of Paan grape and grape mint which was pretty good. We had some tea. That was good too. Planning to go here again. Oh n btw we liked the flavor a lot so we bought it to smoke at home. read more

I've been going this hookah lounge for 6 years now. Probably the best hookah spot in the bay area in my opinion. Great service. Great hookah flavors. The owner is awesome and very nice. Long overdue review..... dtsj/Santa Clara have had many hookah spots come and go but I'm so glad these folks are still here. Hookah is always fresh, staff always helpful and friendly and they go out of their way to make sure that you're comfortable smoking. Great assortment flavors! They typically use Al Fahker and Fumari for the shisha. Great assortment of hookahs and fruit bowl options. Chill relaxed environment where you don't have to yell to speak. Highly recommend! Hookah: 5.0 of 5.0 Service: 5.0 of 5.0 Environment: 4.5 of 5.0 Walk straight to the back where you'll meet a friendly host. They'll walk you through options and suggest flavors based on what your preferences are. I highly recommend the glass hookahs... smoother drag and produces a lot of smoke. Be curious to try the fruit bowls here. Haven't been a huge fan of them in the past. I don't feel they enhance the flavor that much, but have heard good things from this place. Don't listen to the Arul M dude. I was here when he was. He was a drunk ass dude who came in with an hour left before closing and demanded a discount because he decided to come at a late hour and then proceeded to try to haggle and harass the employee. Smoke this is a great establishment with great hookah, great service and reasonable prices. Don't let a disgruntled, cheap, inebriated person's rant be used as a credible source. He was loud, rude, and the definition of a Karen. read more

This place is 5-star because of the main reason of being open in the noon. This is winning. It's real hard to find a hookah spot that is open this early in the day. Most open around 5-6pm around here. Their hookahs are clean, well maintained, lots of flavors, and the atmosphere is super chill. They have flat screens on the wall showcasing sports, good music in the background, etc. The service is on point too! I see the employee going around refilling coals and making sure the guests are comfy. I can't believe it's my first time!!! I'm going to keep coming back! read more

I recommend Smoke This as a lounge. Atiq the manager is extremely friendly, hospitable, and accommodating. I've been to many lounges around the Bay and this is one of my favorite. Good flavors, extremely good customer service, and they win my business 10/10. read more

This is what a hookah place should be. You go in relax, sit back do some work, chat with your friends or watch something on your laptop. No loud music, but good background music. Games are always on for watching also. I've been to a couple others in San Jose and they don't match up tbh! Best part is the hookah is amazing! Good flavors and good recommendations. Also try the mango lassi, it's good. The service is good and the owner is very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely visit again and again! read more

This is the best hookah lounge in the Bay Area! I have tried them all, even outside of the state! And by far they are the best! Honestly no one else can ever compete with them! They have been around the longest, no wonder why they know what they are doing! If you want a nice, calm atmosphere with the best, authentic hookah, this is your go to hookah lounge! And tasty food right next door at Wrap This Mediterranean, which offer a fusion of food! Too bad they are still closed due to the pandemic! Can they please open again soon!?! I've been coming here for about a year and a half and consistently have great service. The guys that work there are super friendly and warm, they bring charcoals around frequently enough, and always have a welcoming smile. The place is clean with indoor and outdoor seating. They have fahker brand tobacco which is my favorite, and there are a strong group of regulars. I also appreciate that they are open earlier than all the other lounges in the SJ area. read more

This was the first time coming to this hookah lounge and it was great! As a hookah-aholic it's hard to find good places to smoke. I'm not from Santa Clara, I'm in town to see a concert, I'm pleased to find such a good hookah lounge. Very attentive customer service with getting new coals. Plus this place opens at 12pm! Nice comfy couches to sit on to enjoy you shisha sesh. Coming back tomorrow before my concert most likely. read more

Cool and packed! I love the interior, it's much lighter compared to a lot of other hookah places. They have a lot of flavors, but they can also mix a flavor for you per your request. They have traditional hookah, but I got drawn to this place for their glass hookah - it's much smoother to smoke (and looks cool). We went on a Thursday and by 8pm the place was PACKED. Someone started sharing a table with us. So, if you have a big group, get there early. They serve tea and water, and I noticed a lot of people brought food from next door 'Wrap This' (see the correlation here? Guessing the same owner). So, come 'smoke this' and take some 'wrap this' with your hookah! read more

I've been coming here since 2013. Owner and manager have always provided consistent customer service to new and regular customers alike. A lot of regulars come frequently. State law is 21 and over. Everyone must have a physical photo ID. Please don't give them a hard time because you don't have it; they are just following the law. If you have any issues with flavor or the hookah hitting, they are happy to help. The crowd is as diverse as the Bay Area. Depending on when you come, ST is good for groups. You can always upgrade to a glass hookah for a better smoke. Hookahs are for 2 people, additional folks in your group pay $5 per person. Lunchtime can be very busy. They also sell coals,tobacco, vaping and hookah accessories to go. Happy hour hookah specials until 3pm and food available for next door at their sister resraurabt Wrap This. There's plenty of street parking. Please don't park in private lots surrounding. Open noon to 10pm Sunday to Wednesday. Noon to midnight Thursday, Friday, Saturday. read more

I love coming to hookah spot! Best in the Bay Area for sure. Atiq is always coming up with some phenomenal flavor combinations that keep me coming back. Customer Service - Top notch! This place can get very busy at peak times, but everyone that works here acknowledges you and ensures that your order is taken ASAP. Also, they replace your coals promptly without even habing to ask. Consistency - I have been coming to Smoke This for over a year now and there has been no deviation from the quality of customer sevice or hookah Ambiance - Typical hookah bar setup with a lounge feel. (Wish the back was available for smoking hookah outside) Overall, i highly recommend coming to Smoke This alone or with someone else. They also have an attached restaurant that will walk your food over to you if you request that. read more

Disclaimer: This review is purely for the service. Our party of 11 came in on a Sunday evening for a round of hookah. Although the flavors and ambience were ok, the server was plain rude! Whenever we had any issue with the hookah (eg. needed change of coal), he told us that our smoking technique was wrong. ok. He didn't give us any extra filters and to top it off, he blamed us for not getting a 5th hookah. Apparently he lit one up without any indication from us to get the same and then told us that we were responsible for wasting his effort. $120 not well spent. read more

I came here last week for the first time to meet a co-worker. I had never been to a hookah lounge or smoked hookah before so this was all new to me. The owner was extremely nice and patient with answering my questions and also in recommending flavors I might enjoy. Well he was right, I have been back 4 times in the last week. It's a very relaxing chill vibe and the smoke is on point. I also met the brother of the owner and he was also just as cool. So.... my friends and I have been on a Hookah binge lately. We started out with Tangerine Hookah Lounge in SJ and had a great time so we figure we should try a new place and compare notes. What I like about this place: Seating was comfortable, love it! Pricing was outstanding. Down the street from my house. What I didn't like so much: The set up of the place. Looked like they just threw some "stuff" together. The coals kept dying out Didn't smell clean Overall ambiance/vibe was lacking My friends and I still had a great time. We stayed till 1 AM after we had spent the evening in Campbell. Over all the experience was decent but next time we get hookah cravings, we'll head back to Tangerine (only wish they would change their seating) or try a completely new place. We stepped away so the area could be cleaned, which we did by going to the restroom. When we returned, they gave our booth to two other men, and we were simply told that they just sat there without any acknowledgment that the table had already been requested, but somehow the staff couldn't find a way to tell them that that booth was already reserved for us. As a result, we were seated in another Patrons section, despite wanting a more private booth for conversation. Shortly afterward, another booth became available, but once again we were required to wait for it to be cleaned. There were two female staff members working that evening. I have visited hookah lounges across multiple states and have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism or such delays in table turnover. And to top it all off their hookah cubes were poor quality.....While the venue had a good crowd, the service remained consistently poor throughout our visit.

A sweet lady helped us and recommended the cheapest hookah stating it has good smoke. I appreciated that she wasn't just trying to upsell us. They have some hot drinks and sodas. No alcohol.
