Stopped by Smoke This Hookah for about an hour and just enjoyed a hookah. The service was okay and the hookah was decent. I do wish they had some music playing, though -- the atmosphere felt a little too quiet and serious for a hookah lounge. A little music would definitely make the vibe more relaxed and enjoyable. read more

This was a nice hookah lounge. I liked that the sofas were very comfortable and spread apart so you have enough privacy. We got the mango,guava and passionfruit mix and it was really good. The person working came and changed our charcoal multiple times without asking. It was about $28 with tax. Lasted almost 2 hours and we never felt rushed. Will defi go back. read more

This place is 5-star because of the main reason of being open in the noon. This is winning. It's real hard to find a hookah spot that is open this early in the day. Most open around 5-6pm around here. Their hookahs are clean, well maintained, lots of flavors, and the atmosphere is super chill. They have flat screens on the wall showcasing sports, good music in the background, etc. The service is on point too! This is what a hookah place should be. You go in relax, sit back do some work, chat with your friends or watch something on your laptop. No loud music, but good background music. Games are always on for watching also. I've been to a couple others in San Jose and they don't match up tbh! Best part is the hookah is amazing! Good flavors and good recommendations. The guys that work there are super friendly and warm, they bring charcoals around frequently enough, and always have a welcoming smile. The place is clean with indoor and outdoor seating. Cool and packed! I love the interior, it's much lighter compared to a lot of other hookah places. They have a lot of flavors, but they can also mix a flavor for you per your request. They have traditional hookah, but I got drawn to this place for their glass hookah - it's much smoother to smoke (and looks cool). We went on a Thursday and by 8pm the place was PACKED. Someone started sharing a table with us. So, if you have a big group, get there early. They serve tea and water, and I noticed a lot of people brought food from next door 'Wrap This' (see the correlation here? Guessing the same owner). So.... my friends and I have been on a Hookah binge lately. We started out with Tangerine Hookah Lounge in SJ and had a great time so we figure we should try a new place and compare notes. What I like about this place: Seating was comfortable, love it! Pricing was outstanding. Down the street from my house. What I didn't like so much: The set up of the place. Looked like they just threw some "stuff" together. The coals kept dying out Didn't smell clean Overall ambiance/vibe was lacking My friends and I still had a great time. We stayed till 1 AM after we had spent the evening in Campbell. Over all the experience was decent but next time we get hookah cravings, we'll head back to Tangerine (only wish they would change their seating) or try a completely new place. I had an okay experience here. I was expecting more since the reviews were pretty good. I liked the atmosphere inside, the couches are comfy and the lighting is good. It's a nice place to go if you can't drive somewhere else. There was nobody to greet us when we got there like there is at the Tangerine hookah lounge to check our IDs. We walked to the counter in the back to order and pay, I didn't like that we really had no time to look over the menu since we were new customers. More people came in behind us so the guy at the counter rushed us a little but was still polite. We chose a single bowl of number 12 watermelon strawberry mint for a reasonable price of $18. After ordering we chose our seats next to a guy smoking by himself. He made conversation with us by asking what flavor we got then left and brought out our hookah. We had no idea that guy worked there. The flavor was fine. It was just minty but whatever. The smoke was terrible though. Super light and never improved. The service was pretty bad too. They never came to move our coals without asking, but instead worries about their own personal smoke session. One of the guys ate dinner three feet in front of us and it was a little weird. It was dirty in there too. The floor was covered in tobacco and coal dust and looked kind of sticky. All in all I wouldn't come back here unless I was invited. read more

This being my first hookah experience I'm not sure how I'd classify it. The room is kept cold. And for a hothouse flower such as myself, when it's empty it's a little overwhelming. The hookah was tasty and the gentleman who replaced the coals did so regularly and politely without interrupting our conversations. Smoke This only sells drinks, which is a bit of a let down, but there's a restaurant next door that's owned by the same people who will deliver to Smoke if asked. I'm not sure smoking is my thing (heck I'm fairly sure smoking is not) but for the service and the chill (no pun intended) atmosphere, this place is pretty tops. read more

I've been coming here since 2013. Owner and manager have always provided consistent customer service to new and regular customers alike. A lot of regulars come frequently. State law is 21 and over. Everyone must have a physical photo ID. Please don't give them a hard time because you don't have it; they are just following the law. If you have any issues with flavor or the hookah hitting, they are happy to help. The crowd is as diverse as the Bay Area. Depending on when you come, ST is good for groups. You can always upgrade to a glass hookah for a better smoke. Hookahs are for 2 people, additional folks in your group pay $5 per person. Lunchtime can be very busy. They also sell coals,tobacco, vaping and hookah accessories to go. Happy hour hookah specials until 3pm and food available for next door at their sister resraurabt Wrap This. There's plenty of street parking. Please don't park in private lots surrounding. Open noon to 10pm Sunday to Wednesday. Noon to midnight Thursday, Friday, Saturday. read more

I recommend the Guava, Mango and Lemon mint mixed flavor. It is great for those who enjoy a fruity mixture that is not overbearing with a minty finish. Their service is great. They replace your coals frequently and constantly check up on you to make sure you are taken care of. Note: Their happy hour is between 12-3pm, Monday-Sunday. They have discounted prices on single and mixed flavors ($10 and $12). They kindly offered an ice hose add-on free of charge! ** Most of my visits have been during the day time.
