Despite calling during business hours, the person who answered was immediately rude and dismissive. It got even more uncomfortable when my husband asked about a few products. The man on the phone suddenly became suspicious and started speaking to him like he was a police officer or a narc, which was completely uncalled for and honestly quite off-putting. What makes it worse is that the exact products he asked about are clearly listed on their website for anyone to see. So, the attitude of the man speaking with my husband - and his defensiveness - made (and still makes) absolutely no sense. If you're going to advertise late hours, you should be prepared to speak to customers professionally during those hours. Customer service like this is a great way to lose business, and we won't ever be returning.

This is going to be long…read more I'm going to assume that I just caught this crew on an off day bc the customer service was lacking. I walked in and there wasn't anyone at the front desk. The security guy was holding the door that leads to the back open while he assisted a customer who didn't know how to use the kiosk, so I bypassed that area, and let myself into the back. I'm a medical user and got into the empty medical line. The guy at the register didn't say hello or usher me up, so I went to him as he was clearly not busy or helping anyone else. I gave him my drivers license, medical card, and told him I was picking up an online order. He gathered my order and rang it up. He never reviewed the items purchased to verify the picker in the back grabbed the correct items, which was odd as literally every other dispensary I've visited conducts some sort of verification. The guy then gives quotes a price that is $25 higher than the price I received when placing the order online. When I pointed this out he asked, "are you still a medical user?". Sir, I'm standing in the medical line and had you bothered to review the identification I handed to you, then you would know I'm a medical user. After I presented my medical card he keyed something into the system and ended up charging me $20 less than what I was quoted online. I said nothing, took my sh!t, and left. I likely won't return to this location, but would be willing to try another.

That is especially surprising, considering RISE is operated by Green Thumb Industries, a major cannabis company with operations across the country. He was new and, during his fist few weeks he made normal, correctable mistakes while learning in a non-stop environment. What concerns me is that he was terminated without receiving a written warning, or being told his job was in jeopardy - all that while simultaneously dealing with repeated training, system-access, and timekeeping problems. Most concerning, a supervisor told him his register was short a fairly large amount, but said management hadn't counted it until after midnight; therefore, per their words, they could no longer review surveillance footage. Despite such a serious allegation, he was put back on a register that came day, all without being shown what happened or receiving any brand of corrective action and/or re-training. That situation, unfortunately, sums up my impression of RISE Silver Spring: disorganized, inconsistent, and lacking accountability. For a location backed by a large nationwide company, I expected far better standards: both as employees and as regular customers. Their product variety and occasional promotions have made it somewhat worth it to be a customer there. That said, there are a lot of great dispensaries within the general DMV area; I'd just take your business elsewhere.

The first thing is that like many other smoke shops nowadays, this is not primarily a place catering to those who want cigars or pipe tobacco. The second is the clerks are friendly and helpful. I was surprised they recognized my wife and me the second time we went in. That is unusual. Or perhaps we are a distinctive couple.
