I'm currently employed in Downtown Silver Spring - an area which, despite me having been born and bred in the DMV area, I don't know very intimately.One day I was at work,and I made a shocking revelation: I don't have any more vape liquid for my iTaste Kroma mod. I Googled "Vape Shops Near Me" and what is the FIRST place that pops up: Action House Vape. I checked out their website as well as their Facebook page - both definitely had the "mom and pop" appeal that I ultimately look for. So on a Wednesday afternoon during my lunch break, I decided to drive down there. Upon arrival, the parking had me a bit confused - I wasn't sure if I could park at the neighboring gas station, the metered parking in front of the strip mall which housed Action House Vape, or elsewhere. I said "to hell with it", and I parked at the gas station. After walking right by a gorgeous and brightly themed mural of a woman vaping, I knew I was in the right place. I slowly and cautiously opened the door, only to receive the most bubbly and smile-ridden greeting from a young lady - I later found out that, not only was her name Bree, but she and I ended up working with each other when she had been employed at a previous vape shop. She looked fresh, happy, and excited to help me with my vaping needs. I did also see someone sitting at their large computer, which is housed behind the "bar" area, to which he didn't say a word to me. Granted, Bree and I had already developed a wonderful rapport over the years, I had absolutely NO idea that she had relocated to Action House. The over ambiance matches her personality to a tee: bright, exciting, and extremely customer friendly. Bree welcomed me warmly, and asked me what I needed to "better your vaping experience". Kind of like what I say at work with customers, "What can I do to make your day better?" I could immediately tell that she felt and HEARD more relaxed - while the mass array pf products are something that are taken quite seriously and full of pride, so was Bree's extensive knowledge of everything Action House sold: the juice selection, the mods, the tanks, and everything in between. I simply came in for some vape juice. However, through Bree's continual dedication to make ensure that my Action House experience was the best I had had to date, she walked me through the entire vaping process" what juices go with what I'm looking for, providing personal suggestions and customer favorites, and even showing me different tanks/drip tips/mods. Bree really was able to shine - it is apparent that,at Action House Vape, Bree was completely in her element. She exudes a level of confidence in the products that can be rivaled by the best of them, and makes SURE that you don't leave unless you are 100% satisfied. I highly recommend making your way over to Action House Vape as soon as you can: whether you're trying to finally kick the smoking habit, getting refills on juice - you name it, Bree will make sure thst you don't ever walk out thinking anything but how stellar her customer was. To end this review: you could walk into the finest, most expensive restaurant and end up receiving lousy customer service. Driving down towards the beltway I saw Action Vape, which I thought was called Lagoon be of the close proximity to the fish store. Stopped on the convenient service road w lots of street parking and went in. WOW! That's what I said. The place looks like a serene, cool, blue light nightclub and I expected to see a band setting up to play! Lights, sofas, TV's, game consoles, bar stools at the granite counter, and more. What stood out the most was the one on one shopping experience with Gabriel and the owner Paul, whom you might know from the indie band, Big Something (9:30 Club in Oct). I sat at the granite bar where one can inspect devices and then went to the dedicated vape tasting booth with an electronic device w hookahs attached. They strictly follow the FDAs new guidelines and for a dollar you get free sterile tips. The display of vapes that are available was impressive. Most places have them out on the counter and are not in stock, but they ARE in stock at Action. They won't recommend a product or let u try something that's not in stock like other places do. Gabriel was a fantastic, friendly, salesman who wanted me to have a good experience. I got the tour also. Not only can you hang out and play games or watch tv on one of the ten TV's there, you can bring ur mod to the self-repair bar. Wow! Talk about the BEST customer service in the area ever! I really am kicking myself now because I can't remember the name of the guy who helped me at the store. He had a goatee and was skinny and was wearing a gray hat and was the only one working on New Year's Eve. All three of my cheap Vape pens stopped working on New Year's eve, and every Vape shop in the area had already closed when I got off work at 5 PM. It was a travesty and I didn't know what to do but luckily Action House was open and when I called they were very helpful on the phone( I think it was the same guy that helped me when I eventually got to the store) When I got to the shop, my intentions were to spend whatever money was necessary on whatever would both get me through New Year's eve and hopefully last longer than the three pens I had previously purchased at other Vape shops in the area. The guy who helped me gave me detailed information on different options and listened to all of my questions and was extremely helpful in helping me make my purchase. Great selection of e-juice, great hardware and some hard-to-find accessories that most shops don't carry. Prices range from good to insanely cheap on some items I wouldn't expect (close to or lower than I would pay online). The actual space is very unique - set up like a bar/lounge with lots of sitting space in the lounge or bar area where you can grab a cup of coffee or tea to just relax and chat or watch the tube on a string of monitors. Service is fantastic- I've been here a half dozen times since they opened and they have taken care of me with top-notch service every time. The owner Paul, asked me what I liked that he didn't have available and ordered it to the shop for me the following week. Simply surprised me! Other vape shops make you feel like you're at another persons party. This isn't the case at this very nice and relaxed atmosphere. The parking is close and the employees give you the one on one attention that makes vaping and the vaping culture such a social and intimate experience. Just bought my first Vape from here. I walked in with no knowledge of a Vape or how to even use one. Prices are decent and the service was excellent. I had an issue with my Vape a couple days later (my fault) and they ask me to come in and they fixed it ASAP with a brand new coil. The guys here know what they are doing.. I called all over the Washington area to find a coil and only Action House had it. I had to drive quite a distance to get there, but it was totally worth it.
