This place is KANSAS STYLE BBQ (according to the manager) so you have been warned, they will convert you to prefer kansas style bbq! came in and sat ourselves and were helped right a way. Our server was attentive and the staff was so nice and friendly. I wish I took a picture of the food but everything was so delicious, we demolished! We ordered 5 piece habanero mango wings and 5 piece tamarindo chiltepin wings. They provided extra bbq sauce and extra mango hab sauce if you like your food extra saucy! My boyfriend and i love wings and these wings were made so good and were a good size. The wings def exceeded expectations! for our mains, we got the pork ribs with mac and cheese and pork belly beans and the brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries. The ribs were fall off the bone and were so succulent and savory... they did not need sauce. We also got recommended the caramel stuff churros with ice cream for dessert which was delicious!! i dont usually go for dessert but wow im glad i didnt skip it! In all with their open seating both out door and indoor with sports playing on the tvs, Smoke & Glory is a nice family friendly restaurant for a casual meal! My experience here was a little bit of a mixed bag which I'll chalk up to them being a newer spot with what seemed like inexperienced staff. The good: Ambiance - I really enjoyed it on a Sunday afternoon. Nice outdoor patio with plenty of shade, and a nice big TV that they were able to put the Padres game on. Why they didn't have the game on without asking, and why they had it programmed to play the opposing teams announcers, I'm not sure but I think it's probably because they aren't big Padres fans. Can't really knock them for that, but I'm only human and if they were I'd like them more. Food - The dino rib was great. Well seasoned, you can tell it was barbecued for real, falling apart, it was delicious. Seems like they treat this as their specialty and I'm here for it. I also thoroughly enjoyed the beans. Not so great: Beverages-We had several cups of water and a soda that came out with a gross kind of earthy taste. We were a little worried it might be mildew or something, but I don't know. Either way it isn't good. We are not the type of family to return food or drink for any insignificant reason and I really prefer not to. Obviously sometimes sodas go flat or the syrup runs out, but this was different and I've never been served drinks with this nasty taste before. They brought replacement water in bottles but when they brought us glasses for them, they were clearly dirty, one of them even had tajin on it still. I had never before been served any glass or dish that was so dirty at any other eating or drinking establishment. We also had to remind them to bring a replacement soda after giving it a good 10-15 minutes at least. Not a fan of having to do that when they already served us that nasty stuff to begin with. Other than that I understand that things happen. We didn't get sick or anything. Food-brisket wasn't bad but it wasn't impressive at all. They didn't offer it as a plate but only as a sandwich, so I'm not sure if they even barbecue it, I couldn't tell for sure from the sandwich to be honest. To me if you're a barbecue spot with brisket on the menu in any form you better bring it, but maybe I just have high expectations. Pork ribs were decently tender but just not impressive to me. Not a lot of flavor or seasoning. Miscellaneous- We had to ask multiple times for extra barbecue sauce. It's my opinion that any respectable barbecue place should have barbecue sauce readily available, you shouldn't have to even ask for it. Maybe I just have weird expectations I don't know, but the whole not bringing something we asked for thing happened multiple times during our visit. Also, on top of the issues, they automatically applied gratuity to our bill, which is always BS, especially when the service aspect was not excellent to put it nicely. Whatever attention they're paying to the dino ribs, they should be putting that same effort into the other items on the menu, into their service, and most importantly into their cleanliness/sanitation. Also, if you're trying to be a spot for proud locals, put the Padres games on and make sure the audio is set to Don and Mud :b. I don't even live in the South, but I happened to be driving by and needed to kill some time--so I decided to stop into Smoke & Glory. Honestly, I'm really glad I did. The atmosphere immediately stood out--great vibe, welcoming, and just the kind of place you end up wanting to stay longer than planned. But what really made the experience was the bar. Jose made some of the best Old Fashions I've had in a long time--perfectly balanced, smooth, and clearly made with care. You can tell he knows what he's doing. Beyond the drinks, the overall service was on point. Everyone was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. I enjoyed a very good BBQ lunch from this new BBQ House in Chula Vista. I ordered the Beef Ribs Nachos, the Smoked Pork Spare Ribs, and an order of Wings. For my ribs, I had the side of onion rings and the Pork Belly Wings. The smoked ribs were great. The meat was super tender and fell off the bones easily. It was well seasoned and offer a nice smoke flavor. The penetration of the smoke was very evident based on the pinkish color of the meat. Great smoke ring. The onion rings were abundant and crispy. They came with whole onions inside and were tasty. The pork belly beans were good, but I would have liked a little more pieces of pork belly in the beans. As for the wings, the server recommended the Tamarindo Chiltepin sauce, which was a great choice. The flavor of the sauce was great. It was a little sweet and had a very good flavor. The wings were tender and meaty. The nachos were good. They definitely do not hold back on the toppings. The tortilla chips are made in house and are of the thicker casero variety or homemade. They were well seasoned. Did I love the idea of Velveta cheese on my nachos? Probably not, but it worked here. The cheese was creamy and easily ladled onto the tortilla chips. The nachos are definitely meant for sharing, given their size. The beef meat was very tender and tasty. The service was friendly. I liked that they took the time to make suggestions and go over the menu in a casual manner. It was not rushed, so I had to relax before I ordered. They are located right next door to Farmer's Table and Acqua E Farina and are open for lunch and dinner. They have a great happy hour, too. Smoke & Glory is located in a Chula Vista suite adjacent to a popular brunch restaurant. You can park in the structure behind the building where there were plenty of open spots. There was a large outdoor space with picnic tables if you wanted to dine al fresco. The inside seating featured ten high chairs around a bar along with tables and booths. The ambiance resembled a cross between a barn and a lodge. Happy Hour was offered between 2 and 5 pm daily. A separate menu was dedicated for that time period with discounts on twelve food choices, draft beers, well drinks, and cocktails. The main menu was divided into appetizers and BBQ plates in the left column. Burgers, sandwiches, a hot dog, and a burrito were in the middle of the page. Salads, flatbread, sides, and family combos made up the right column. To my disappointment, there were only three BBQ Plate choices... Smoked Chicken, Smoked BBQ Pork Rib, and Smoked BBQ Dino Beef Rib. Nearly every barbeque joint I have visited offers brisket and pulled pork by the pound. This place made those meats available only as a sandwich. It shouldn't be difficult to modify the menu to sell those two items a la carte or as part of a plate. My selection was the Smoked BBQ Dino Beef Rib (1 bone) plate which came with two small sides. I picked the Mac and Cheese and Pork Belly Beans. A metal tray was delivered to my table with pickled onions, a dill pickle, and a couple of pieces of bread as sides. The bone was large with plenty of sauced meat. The tenderness was okay, but I have experienced better "fall off the bone." The mac and cheese was creamy. The beans were contained in a salty, watery gravy that resembled a soup. The service was hit and miss as I placed my order at the bar when no server came by my table. The staff did check up on me after delivering the food. First time trying Smoke & Glory BBQ located on F Street in Chula Vista, CA. The restaurant opened its doors in February of 2026 and it's next to Farmer's Table. Both restaurants have the same owner. Smoke and Glory BBQ is Kansas City style BBQ & NOT Texas style BBQ very different flavor. I prefer Texas style but there's a following in San Diego for Kansas City style BBQ. We really enjoyed the following and would order again: -TJ Nachos with beef ribs. It had pico de gallo, guacamole, jalapeños, velveeta cheese and Oaxacan cream (5/5) stars. -Bread Pudding dessert (5/5) stars it was OUTSTANDING! It had ice cream and blueberry sauce. A must try!! -Smoke BBQ Pork Ribs (6) with cole slaw and pork belly beans in BBQ sauce. The sides were excellent!! I'm not a fan of Kansas City style BBQ especially, their sauce. I found my rib order a bit dry, but you may enjoy this plate. I rate the ribs (4/5) stars. There's indoor and outdoor seating with screens TV's to watch your favorite sports game. They have a lot of room for large groups. Happy hour is daily from 2pm-5pm, $6 draft beers, $10 House Cocktails. We had excellent customer service by our server Jose and manager Denise who took the time to come over to make sure we enjoyed our dinner. The service was a 5/5 stars and restaurant was very clean. Came here for a date night with the wifey and honestly... this spot surprised me. From what I understand, it used to be more farm-to-table, but now it's like 3 concepts in one which is actually pretty cool. Gives you options depending on what you're craving. We went the BBQ route and I'm just happy Chula Vista finally has something like this. wasn't too packed (yet), but I'd love to see this place cracking. They've got TVs for games, a nice outdoor patio, and it just feels like a spot you can post up with friends or bring the family. I got the dino ribs with onion rings, wifey got a piña colada mocktail (they hooked it up since she's pregnant and I kept it simple with a bubbly drink. The house sauce and habanero sauce were definitely the highlight. BBQ itself? Good, not mind-blowing, but solid enough where I'd come back especially since we don't have a ton of BBQ options out here. Overall this is one of those places you want to support. I noticed a new bbq had opened in Chula Vista and I gave them a try.  The setup confused me.  The entrance has signs for Farmer's Table and Smoke & Glory.  There was a huge line for Farmer's Table on a Sunday at 11am but I was the only one in Smoke & Glory which was the left part of the building. There was the delicious scent of bbq in the air.  I started with a complimentary soda water.  It was not good.  Tasted like half regular water and half soda water.  Made me long for Costco.  They have really good soda water now that the Coke machines are back. Kielbasa sausage was tender and juicy.  Full of flavor and a bit of heat.  This was likely the best part of my meal. Fries were crispy and had a nice fried potato flavor.  I expected them to be hot out of the fryer but they were more lukewarm like they had been sitting out for a bit.  I tried to order onion rings but they were out. 2 beef ribs were huge and made for 2 meals.  Beef was extremely tender and moist.  Very good quality beef.  I liked the sweet sauce that was glazed on top.  Overall flavor was very light.  I would have liked more smoky aroma and more dry rub.  I usually get beef ribs at Julian Beer Company where their ribs have a ton of smoky flavor and a ton of peppery dry rub.  Ribs were also lukewarm.  I prefer them hot out of the smoker.  I tried the bbq sauce from the bottle but it didn't taste as good as the bbq sauce that had caramelized on the ribs.  I took most of the ribs home and reheated them.  They tasted better at the proper temperature. Staff was nice but not very informative as when I asked what kind of wood they smoke with and was told they use wood.  Smoke a& Glory could be really good with better quality control. This is a new bbq spot that just opened up in Chula Vista in the same building as Farmer's Table. I went during the weekday for lunch and the staff was very attentive and had good service. The food came out pretty quickly as well. I ordered the bbq chicken sandwich which comes with fries, pickle, and red onions. The bbq chicken sandwich was really flavorful and super filling. The chicken is shredded with texture reminding of a pulled pork sandwich and it was not dry at all. The cole slaw gave a nice refreshing crunch to the sandwich. They give generous portions and it's a large hefty sandwich for only $16! There are plenty of seats indoor and outdoor and it is a very clean place. Came in on a nice afternoon, curious about the BBQ and casual vibe. The place surprised us with how much space there is -- a huge, shaded outdoor patio with umbrellas and also a full bar and restaurant inside. My friend and I stopped by here for lunch yesterday as we were excited to try this new BBQ place in Chula Vista. So glad we did. We got the Trio Tacos as an appetizer to share. Which was a great way to try a variety of their meat options. My friend got the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger with Sweet Potato Fries and I got the Brisket Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries. We tried Smoke & Glory (S&G) for the first time last night with another couple. They've only been open a little over a week, and we took a chance without reservations. Fortunately, our timing was perfect and an indoor U-shaped booth had just opened up. When we went to order, we attempted to get the chicken wings, corn cocktail, beef ribs, and onion rings -- but they were completely sold out of all four items after Valentine's weekend and earlier service. Our server, Frank, was apologetic and did his best. We pivoted and ordered the pork ribs, kielbasa sausage, Boston baked beans with pork belly, potato salad, mac & cheese, fries, and a bacon cheeseburger. Loved: the pork ribs, kielbasa, baked beans, and potato salad -- flavorful and well done. Didn't care for: the mac & cheese or the bacon cheeseburger. The mac & cheese, in particular, was underwhelming. Frank provided great service despite the shortages. Happy Hour was about to end but our server made sure to get it to us in time. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The food wasn't bad but it was just okay. I got the BBQ bacon cheeseburger. It had a good char, but the inside was more pink than I cared for. The grill must have been so hot it shared the outside but didn't cook through the middle enough. By the time I got to the middle of my burger I realized it was a little too rare for me. I didn't tell the server, but I was starting to get full any way. The onion rings I had were fine. They were passable onion rings, nothing special. My wife got the pork ribs with the beans and mac and cheese. The ribs had a lot of meat on them and they were falling off the bone. However, you couldn't pick them up to eat them. The flavor was fine too, but their bbq sauces were the best part. The mango habanero one had good heat and flavor and the regular bbq was good too. My wife never saw any pork belly in her beans, but there was some kielbasa. I had the Los Altos drink and it was very refreshing. It was probably the best thing I had. It's nice to have a new business in our area. We might come back for a happy hour some time, but there wasn't anything cravable about any of their food. read more

Great service and friendly staff. Our awesome bartender gave us a few recommendations for drinks, our meal, and dessert. He was on point with everything. I really enjoyed my cocktail I believe it was a Los Altos. We shared a rib plate with mac and cheese and potato salad. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and tangy. Went to Smoke and Glory today with a large group. The staff were so gracious and accommodating! We were seated outside on the patio on picnic tabes that were surprisingly comfortable. The food came out in a timely manner and was hot and fresh. I ordered the meat lovers flatbread. The bread was soft and chewy with just the right amount of toppings. Others at our table ordered chicken nachos, chicken quesadilla (HUGE) and the pulled pork sandwich. All excellent. Jose was our server and he is a rockstar! I ordered the brisket sandwich. It was beyond awful. Brisket should be sliced and not served in strings of beef. It looked like pot roast not brisket. It was tough and tasteless. I'm not a big BBQ fan, but we ordered the medium Family Combo from Smoke & Glory and it was very good. Beef ribs 10/10. Recommend. Only complaint was the music seemed a little loud, but I was getting it for takeout and I'm an old guy that doesn't normally like music with my food. read more

Overall a Meh. Not worth the trip. The only thing that made this a little better was the beef ribs. Ordered pulled pork nachos to start. Got some sort of mess with pork belly. In what world does pulled pork equal pork belly? Appreciate the effort but would not recommend. The wife got 2 fish tacos and they were bland and disgusting. She couldn't get through the second one, and all I could handle was a single bite. Also ordered the family dinner. Pork ribs were over cooked and the rub was not to my liking. Smoked chicken was fine, nothing to rave about. The beef ribs were delicious! The one highlight of the meal. The kid's fountain drinks were watered down. The adult beverages weren't that great we all switched to beer after our initial drink. Service and the beef ribs were the only redeeming part of the night. Great spot for a family dinner with a toddler and baby. They offer games and both indoor and outdoor seating, with heaters available outside. We've tried the wings, trio nachos, BBQ pork ribs, beef rib, Smoke & Glory flatbread, kids' pizza, mac and cheese, pork belly beans, and fries. Everything we've had so far has been really good. My boyfriend and I were trying to find somewhere to eat when this spot popped up, so we decided to give it a try and we're so glad we did! We live in the area and were honestly really impressed. The service was amazing, the food came out fresh and flavorful, and the overall hospitality made us feel super welcome. We'll definitely be coming back again.
