That right there told me they don't mind being different in the style of food they serve! After checking over the menu full of wraps and burgers amongst a plethora of other bar food I ended up getting some wings to try and the house made chips. I got half my wings in the BBQ flavor and the other Buffalo. Being honest the wings weren't anything special but they did hit the spot and the BBQ sauce wasn't anything special to me on the wings but if it was used in some pulled pork or ribs I believe I would enjoy it more. The buffalo sauce was really good and had just enough heat to need the ranch here and there. The house made chips were good, not overly seasoned and not over cooked either. The place is small but has a handful of high top round tables and a few bigger square tables in the front with a decent bar strip with plenty of bottles and beers on tap. The pool table in the side room looked like a great area to hang around and play some pool while enjoying some beers with the company of friends. Next time I'm in town I will try one of their countless burger options!

They also have kombucha, THC beverages, drinks with mushrooms and adaptogens, and other fun drinks. Despite my booze-inclusive lifestyle, I can recognize when a place that's not made for me is really freaking cool. All of you teetotalers in Lafayette are lucky, because Generation NA is amazing and has so many non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy. They even have slushies! You gotta love this place. Mostly, this is a grab-and-go store for all of your non-alcoholic beverage needs. Just pop in and be amazed by the quantity and quality of the NA bevs available to you. The people who work here are also very friendly and helpful, so they can direct you to your perfect drink, if you're unsure.

First the store is uniquely stocked with THC products, adaptogens, N/A beer, wine, spirits and kombucha. We met the co-owner Summer and she was so nice and informative. Her employee, whom sadly I forgot her name, was also very friendly and helpful. Lastly, the ambiance is so cool and gives you good vibes. They have pinball machines and retro arcade games. There's a little couch and a bar to just chill out and enjoy your beverage. Also, I nice little table and seats are right in front of the store. Generation N/A really has an aura about it.

However, on a recent trip back to visit my parents' grave, I finally got the chance to stop in and check it out for a bit. Central Normal Tap is basically a laid-back, charming pub and grill with solid dining options, craft beer, spirits, and a terrifically friendly vibe. I'm not sure if terrifically is really a word, but I'm sticking with it. Located on the east side of the Danville Town Square, this is a great place to hit if you're doing some visiting of the town square (and you should). It's not an all-day joint. It's really from evening into the night hours. The town square offers free parking (with accessible option). While there are stores on the square that are not accessible, Central Normal Tap is pretty darn good (some of the tables are a bit high and there are a handful of booths that have a step up). Dining options include pretzels, wings, flatbreads, and more. I didn't spend a whole lot of time here, but I enjoyed the time I spent. The vibe was a nice tapestry of smaller town charm with a modern energy. The food was tasty, and the service was absolutely top-notch. I would easily return, though I might avoid when it's super busy as I could imagine accessibility being a bit more challenging just due to the layout. For those who wonder (I love origin stories), the name comes from Central Normal College, a former college that moved from Ladoga, Indiana to Danville, Indiana in the 19th century and lasted until just after World War II. It's a part of Danville/Hendricks County history (you can learn more about it at the Hendricks County Museum).
