The added bonus was the atmosphere, service, food and fun of Coterie Kokomo is a mid-sized city about an hour north of Indy. The venue is a local favorite for music and great burgers. They did not disappoint this out of town visitor! The staff was welcoming. The menu, while limited, had a great variety of sandwiches and salads. I chose the Coterie burger which is served with fries. It was fire . The music venue is next door to the primary bar and is full service for food and drinks. The entire evening was so much fun - I highly recommend Coterie for an evening out!

Little sliding wooden trays to make it convenient for eating, then just move them out of the way when you're done. They have 10 or so craft beers on tap and a full bar. We had the opportunity to sample a couple brews and we both enjoyed our beer choices and the food. Prices were fair, and tax is included in the menu price. I really want to shout out our bartender/server. Didn't get her name but she had round glasses with eyeglass chain attached and was on the shorter side. She was very customer focused, answering all our first-timer questions, attentive, appropriately conversational, and definitely on the ball as she was handling tables too. Top notch service. About those railings: unless there's a special back entrance, the venue may not be wheelchair accessible. There are two or three steps at the entrance, and if you want the bar instead of booth or table, another three or four. Both have sturdy solid handrails. I do not fault them for this; probably the historic building is exempt, but just wanted to note it for anyone needing that info. All in all a five star experience and I hope to return soon.

While there are stores on the square that are not accessible, Central Normal Tap is pretty darn good (some of the tables are a bit high and there are a handful of booths that have a step up). Dining options include pretzels, wings, flatbreads, and more. I didn't spend a whole lot of time here, but I enjoyed the time I spent. The vibe was a nice tapestry of smaller town charm with a modern energy. The food was tasty, and the service was absolutely top-notch. I would easily return, though I might avoid when it's super busy as I could imagine accessibility being a bit more challenging just due to the layout. For those who wonder (I love origin stories), the name comes from Central Normal College, a former college that moved from Ladoga, Indiana to Danville, Indiana in the 19th century and lasted until just after World War II.
