This time I asked for a harder Vibram rubber that would last longer on the streets than the original soft hiking sole (and ones which I also specified in their first replacement.) Well... They came back built as tough as can be! And the craftsmanship is top-notch, put together with great attention as not to damage these old favorites. Just to note... The Vibram's aren't exactly like the original Timberlands. They, the originals, had a more refined look having a thinner sole. But for a replacement? I truly believe it's the best you can get. In addition, I like to take the shine off the shoe polished rubber, and I like to get back the look of showing the leather layer in its profile. So achieving that took a little extra work on my part to lightly sand them to taste!

I hate being a Karen...I usually don't, but this time I have to, so I came here. I had three pairs of sneakers. The guy said he could do the job. I asked, "Are you sure?" He said he'd be able to take the yellow out and that he has a special machine and all this nonsense. Then he made me pay him upfront. I said, "Sure, no problem." I dropped off the shoes there on Wednesday. I went back on Saturday to pick them up, and they looked exactly the same. Before I even got to say anything, he started complaining about how he couldn't do this and couldn't do that. I said, "Okay, understandable. Do I get half of my money back?" He said, "No, you don't get anything back." One of the sneakers also he said he can glue the back part then he said he might have an issue. I said right let me get these sneakers back then he's like no no I got it. If you can't do it properly after I say, let me take the sneakers back. Don't tell me you can do it and then not even do it. It was like A quick pay upfront money grab for him !!! So why would you tell me you were able to do the job if you couldn't do it? Why would you make me pay upfront? One of the sneakers has yellow inside the bubble. He told me he didn't have to go inside the sneaker to get rid of it, that he has a special machine. Complete nonsense. Then you want to pocket the money I paid in advance and not give me anything back--not even five dollars, not even a penny. I'm pissed!!! It feels like he asked me for money upfront, cause he know he couldn't do the job. I'm not coming here ever again ever.!!!! PS he didn't even clean them ! Plus, he's expensive like WTF $70 for what?!!! you didn't do anything. If you did the job correctly, I wouldn't complain about the price, but you did NOTHING !!!

Went in for my 3rd pair of Redwing boots, this time a pair of 875's. Was sized up and it was…read moresuggested that I get different size than the boots I've purchased before (604's and 1412's). I admit I was hesitant at first but went ahead with it based on their recommendation. The boots arrived 5 days later, tried them on and they fit very very well....I walked out with them and wore them for the rest of that day. I have been wearing them 6-7 days a week everyday for the last month and a half and they are superb. Initial break in took about 3 days, after a week they really softened up and they got better and better everyday. They are currently my daily boot and they feel great all day ,every day. Thank you for the great service, guys. You knowledge of these boots is amazing.

Went home and called the shop at ~1:30pm. Owner answered in Russian asking me why I didn't call him - as if the shop only opens when a customer calls - and why I didn't deposit my boots in a locked box at the entrance. I'm not about to leave my boots not knowing if they are repairable! I asked if the shop open now - was told to call back at ~2:30pm. I called at 2:42pm, didn't recognize the voice who answered, asked again if the shop is open - in English - and got yelled at for speaking English! Was told not to play games (!) and not to be rude (for speaking English!). Naturally, I hang up and will not place any orders with this so called business. PS. Seeing response to my review insulting me for trying to give them business confirms this is a nasty place, totally unprofessional. I do NOT recommend anyone to deal with them, ever!

I took it back to Danny's shoe repair (where they were actually altered) and the very knowledgeable man told me that he won't be able to repair the dress, the person who pinned it (shocker) did a horrible job. He can only give me a 1/4 inch on the straps and I need about 2 for this to fit properly. I'm the maid of honor in a wedding party and I don't have enough time to order another dress! I'm screwed! And Jose offers me store credit! You really think I'm ever stepping foot in this store again!?! Absolutely ridiculous. Save yourself the hassle and take you clothes to a place that actually does alterations not a middle man who doesn't know what the heck they are doing! I typically don't review places but this place is ridiculous! My daughter and I went in to have 2 dresses altered. My experience started with a women who was clearly training and did not know how to pin a dress for alterations. Which is fine, everyone has to be taught at some point. She pinned our dresses, I was told the person who makes the alterations only comes in 2x per week and they would call me when they are complete (no one called). After I called to find out they were ready i tried to pick them up. I went there 4 times, each time during what is stated on the door as operating hours and they were closed every time. That's heading to work late, coming home from work early to try make it in while they were open. I called and left a message to which they responded right away and offered to drop them off, I declined and they assured me they would be open today. The women called me back and said Jose is very upset and doesn't want to loose your business... why didn't Jose call then? He must not care enough to pick up the phone to apologize. I went in this morning to pick them up (5th time at the store) the quoted price was 220 they ended up charging just over 300 and I was told that they outsource for alterations!! According to the website they pride themselves on alterations, custom suits etc. they don't even have a tailor or anyone that is trained on taking measurements working there. They aren't open when they say they are and they over charge you. I'm afraid to try this dress on because there is no way I have time to buy another!
