Five years have passed since I posted my review of Smith's. I wanted to update because Many changes have been made and this is a nice store to shop in. My main pet peeve's about customer service are practically nonexistent. I can always find an employee to help me look for something or answer a question. All of the checkout people are friendly and efficient and try to get you through as Quick as possible. The layout of the store is nice and there is plenty of room to maneuver except n the produce area, but I think that's common for every store out there nowadays. Since the Covid lockdown, I have been using the pick up option, "Click list". I can usually find a time that's convenient for me and have someone else do the shopping for me. My only problem with Click list is that sometimes The produce is not great. I prefer to pick up the produce myself, but sometimes I just don't have time to shop. In summary, I would shop here if you are in the neighborhood. read more

We went to this Smith's yesterday (Mon.) when it opened @ 7:00 am. We didn't wait long on this senior day (7-8) & the store wasn't crowded til' we were leaving an hour later. It took that long to shop because almost EVERY item in the store went up in price, & I do not mean by 50 cents. In fact, except for frozen dinners, the price jumps were obscene. To take advantage of us in these trying times when supermarkets are making the most money shows that this chain of stores is the opposite of charitable. And after going to unique stores in Calif., it's obvious that Smith's doesn't care to improve those in the Lakes or Summerlin. Everything stays the same. Boring, & now too expensive. When this virus is all over, we'll be regular shoppers @ Winco's new one, conveniently located next to a Trader Joe's. read more

Albertsons is actually closer to me.. Every year I manage to visit this store even though I'm not a frequent shopper at all. We started going back for the VGK patches. Sprouts I love dearly for healthy snacks but their milk is expensive $6-8 a gallon! Horizon organic tastes great and Smith's has it for $5 but we went with the $3 gallon of whole milk & Hersey syrup because babe was craving chocolate milk. I couldn't remember if I had a card because I shop here infrequently, I definitely had a card from using my mobile number and Self-checkout was easy even at 5pm on a saturday. Reminds me of Stop & Shop 10 for 10 signs are yellow and red. The store feels like home. read more

My husband was shopping getting some vegetables & a random man starts looking through my husbands shopping cart. He grabbed his avocado & limes from the shopping cart. My husband turned around and told the man "wt are u doing?" "Don't grab my vegetables" the man proceeded to go complain to the manager about my husband saying my husband threatened him! my husband explained everything to management and security. They look through surveillance and see the man grabbing his things from the cart. Yet they sided with that man! Saying technically my husband hadn't paid for the vegetables. Is this a joke?! I usually put my purse inside the shopping cart not smart but wt if that man was grabbing my things ...it's ok no big deal? No person should go start grabbing other people's things from a shopping cart! That's ridiculous! They should hire other managers and security because clearly they don't know how to do their job! Denise in the floral department is the best! My husband bought flowers for my birthday and she asked him a few questions... with that she put together a beautiful bouquet in a gorgeous vase! She went above and beyond his expectations. Its been 3 days and the flowers are still blooming beautifully....and they smell amazing! Would give it a zero if I could. The store was redone some time ago but there's never anyone to ask where an item is in the store or the staff always acts like they're too busy to help. I go here as minimal as possible because it's the closest to my house. There's just no pride in keeping the store clean both inside and out. The parking lot always has trash everywhere, the produce section has a million flies to the point where I just walk away. Went to get a donut for my son one morning and the case had flies in it . I don't think upper management cares about the store which makes it a trickle down affect to the rest of the employees not caring. I have prolonged writing this review in hopes that the last few visits were just a fluke but after 5 shopping trips with the exact same result I figured it was time. Where are the people who work here? Why in the 4 lines that actually have checkers am I still bagging my own groceries? I skip self check out because I have carpel tunnel yet I still end up having to bag my groceries even after waiting in the LONG line with a checker only to find out there is not a bagger. I hate to complain I really really do this is just too much. I have been coming to this smiths for over 10 years and after todays experience I fear it will be my last. Have recently switched to shopping in this store- even though it's further away than my closest supermarkets-of-a-different-name because... -Love their wide variety of cheeses- (definitely the place to go if you're putting together a cheese platter - I'd say even better than Trader's), -Many wine varieties with 20% off of 6 purchased wines (try their "Provincial" boxed wine, it's a decent wine especially when bought at the 20% off price-and I have only ever seen it here)- speaking of wines, they have a free in-store speedy wine chiller, what great service/attention to detail. -Their produce is typically beautiful and lots of organic options mostly at competitive prices. IME their produce seems to "keep" longer than other stores, too. -Their meat department has good sales and specials also serving lots of organic options. Overall, their prices are competitive across the board. In fact, I processed an on-line grocery order and compared the same order to Von's delivery service- it was a savings of 25% for the whole order before any service fees! SO LET'S TALK about online ordering- place your order online and your first 3 curbside pickups are FREE. So convenient!! After that, the $4.95 fee still looks pretty good, when you consider their sales and deals on groceries, etc.. also recommend opting in for their emails & check around on-line before ordering, because seasonally or randomly I'll get coupon codes for $10, $20 off if an order-over-a-certain-amount. The savings in shopping time is worth it enough, then you're in the bonus round if you get the codes! The ambiance and layout are great if you are shopping in-store- it's light and bright. The staff literally offer a smile from the minute you walk in. There's a genuine brightness throughout, which makes for a pleasant experience. Another favorite feature are the bins/wholesale dispensers; you can measure only what you need, which keeps our family from wasting, that all too often happens with granolas and such. Plus, you can find a large variety of non-prepackaged items in their bins that you can't typically find in the usual groceries. And last, their olive bar is always looking *fresh*, very clean- try their dolmas, their green olives are a better deal, more variety and better quality than the bottled versions, and their marinated artichokes are another fave. We order sushi platters for parties a few times a year- really can't be more convenient, great service & great quality- I highly recommend customizing a platter. Overall, it seems like they've found a good way to merge all of my favorite things from multiple other stores into this one, so it's become more of a one-stop shop. Used to have 3-5 stores to stop in throughout the week to get our family's favorite- Organics, cheeses, specialty items and wines from Traders, organic produce and wholesale bins/cereals from Spouts, deli meats/bakery and grocery deals in Walmart, Von's for sushi, Glaziers for last minute needs close to home - any who, I have found comparable or better here at competitive pricing, so I really couldn't be happier. read more

First off, I'm a fan of Smith's grocery stores. With that being said, this store is one their best. Clean, large store (and aisles), and plenty of parking. They recently stopped accepting VISA credit cards because of excessive fees. They didn't want to pass those costs onto the customers, so they just stopped taking the cards. I salute them for that. Things are expensive enough without adding on needless charges. My only complaint......I don't leave near this store. read more

AVOID THIS PHARMACY!!! I switched over from CVS and Smith's Pharmacy missed spelled my name on my medications...no room for error. I got my name corrected on the next visit and then they didn't setup my auto refill...got that corrected and now I just tried to pick up my refill in which I'm well in the system and was told I am not there and they need to see "my membership" that doesn't even make sense. I am done with this crazy, unprofessional pharmacy of a joke. I went over to the Smith's on Warm Springs and told them I would like to transfer and they asked for my phone number and everything was complete and ready in 10 minutes. ***YELP 100 CHALLENGE 46/100*** I mostly split my grocery shopping between Smith's and Walmart as they are in the vicinity of where we live. What sets this place apart for me is their great customer service and that they're on top of their game as far as getting people in and out. There's never more than a couple of people in line at a time, you always see a manager open registers when it starts getting hectic. I like that, that's great consideration on their part as nobody enjoys waiting in lines. I find myself really satisfied with the selections they have to offer. They carry a variety of specialty cheeses and meats. The produce are always fresh, from vegetables to fruits to seafood. Prices are competitive to similar stores and they offer various discounts like earning points for gas, sometimes 2X or 4X if you purchase certain items like gift cards and their weekly circulations offer sizable savings. They also carry a wide range of products for those that are health conscious, gluten free and organic. This store is open 24 hours and has a US bank inside, they conveniently have a Western Union and Coinstar for all your financial needs. Of course the staples: pharmacy, deli, bakery, floral etc. are there for all your other needs. Like mentioned earlier, customer service is a strong suit in this store. The sales associates are very pleasant and accommodating. If you linger in an aisle looking perplexed, it's almost a guarantee that you'll get approached by someone offering their assistance in any way. Always service with a smile. read more

DID I WALK INTO WHOLE FOODS? This place has upped their game biiiiiig time since the recent renovation. I walk around in there feeling like I'm some rich folk in a fancy shmancy neighborhood. The produce section is all perrrrrrty, with upright demos, their Italian section is gourmet now with offerings of premium European butters and cheeses. They finally carry creme fraiche! The alcohol section is DECKED OUT. It ain't whole foods, but this is the Beverly Hills or Summerlin of Smiths. I feel cool going in here cuz I'm super cool like that. read more

This smiths bathroom is so nasty if I didn't have to use the bathroom I would if left. I felt like I needed a shower after I left. All 3 stalls were nasty and none of them had tissue I have to use paper towels to wipe myself. There is no way any employee cleaned this bathroom today. The floor was filled with paper, the toilets all were un flushed one was clogged the trash was over flowing. OK....more like 4.5 stars. This is my go to grocery store every week at least once a week if not more. Its close by and they have most everything that I want, need and don't need. If there's no green bananas, I always ask and one of the workers there always hooks me up with fresh fruits. The butcher is cool too, they always provide me with whatever fish I point to and how much I want. The cashiers are friendly and although sometimes you have to wait to get checked out there's self check out lines which go by quickly. OH and the best part is when I get a coupon in the mail for $7.00-$12 bucks...yes that's how much I spend. Used to strictly go to Sprouts and Whole Foods until I stopped in here one day...now I'm a believer! It was the organic/natural/vegan food section that turned me on. They have a HUGE selection of things you would normally find at a health foods store, but with tons of sale prices and coupons. And their bulk food section, loaded with more organic stuff, couldn't be easier with their printable bar codes and zip lock baggies. I'm also a big seafood fan, and the quality of their sockeye salmon was awesome! The woman working the counter was really knowledgable about specifically where it came from as well. The customer service here is great as well. I often get approached by store members asking me if I'm finding everything OK, and the register clerks are always really friendly to both myself and to each other. It's nice to see. The cleanliness of the store is good as well. Everything is always in order and tidy. Even though this store is a little out of the way for me, I'll continue coming back! Only downside is the parking lot. The entrances/exits are really poorly placed and things can back up a little bit at peak times. read more

This is by far the nicest, cleanest Smith's I've ever frequented to date. I used to shop the one on the corner of Charleston and Hualapai until I found this one by accident last year. It has become my top choice when shopping Smith's. Place is always super clean and organized, and never too crowded like the Charleston location. Smith's has the best sales out of all the other competitors too, so shopping here is a no brainer for me. Try to get here at least once a month. I had the worst experience of my life at this store.I came into the store 9:30am -10am. I wanted to get some pieces of chicken from The Roasted Chicken Deli. A clark older lady (50-60years old) was filling the chickens. When I asked her "Excuse me,Excuse me, Excuse me" 3 times but she ignored me. she didn't even looked at me I noticed she did it on purpose. Another clark came to me and she took care of my order but the older clark came again and continued filling the chickens. I didn't know 2 different types of chickens were there and I had some miscommunications. The older clark looked at me and laughed teasingly so I told her " you are rude" but she laughed again. I was very upset and told her again "you don't need to be so rude !! " She kept laughing and provoked me. I never seen such a rude person and I never yelled to someone in public place. I was thoroughly ashamed. I can't believe this company hire such a rude person. This is a serious problem that cannot be overlooked and need to review the selection of members. She definitely ruined my day and made me feel disgusting.I will never go shopping this store anymore. read more

I sometimes stop at this Smith's when I'm in the general area. I find this to be one of the best stocked stores that Smith's has in the area. The staff is generally very competent. This is not only my neighborhood grocery store, it is my favorite grocery store in town. The store is always clean, whether it is 5am or 5pm (and I've been here at both times!), organized, and the layout is easy to follow. I especially appreciate that the employees are always friendly and helpful- whether it is at the seafood counter, the deli, or the checkout. I love that they have several self-checkout stations, and there usually aren't long lines. I've always found Smith's to be less expensive than some of the other big grocery chains, with great selection and good sales. I also am a big fan of their rewards program, wherein you can earn points good toward discounts on gas- --and lo and behold, they have a gas station conveniently located on premises! The gas prices are very reasonable to begin with, and if you've earned enough points, then you get a further savings on gas! Dawn at Customer service was abrupt and lacks social skills to do her job adequately. I wanted to do a return on a blender that I had purchased the day before but, I was offered store credit because I threw away the receipt. However, I paid with my debit card and used my Smith's rewards account. I thought there would be more available possibilities on the return without my copy of the receipt. Since it was not clarified, I looked for a team lead to clarify the policy and within 30sec the store policy was clarified respectfully; store credit for returns without receipts AND over $10. GLORY DAYS ARE GONE at this store! Used to shop here regularly for over 8 years. It used to be well organized, the produce was beautiful (and bountiful), the shelves were stocked well and the staff was clean in appearance and very friendly. NOT ANYMORE. The floors are filthy, (see pic of "lettuce and calluses") the shelves look like a scene from post war movie (barren and items just thrown in large bins). The center food display bins look like they were stocked with a front loader, no exacerbation at all. (see pic of "Chips Ahoy front loader" display). Need I say more? Just look at the pics to know what you will walk into at present time. The store remodeled in late 2015 and every since then it has went to hell in a hand basket. The isles are WAY TOO TIGHT following the redesign. Better loose some lbs because you have to turn sideways to skinny down an isle. If you can even get down an isle. There are patrons turned, crouching and leaning every 3 feet down the length of any isle at any time of the day. Not to mention, you can barely maneuver two carts side by side for oncoming shoppers on top of the already over populated challenge. The store is hectic, the people who shop there are RUDE, cutting you off, reaching in front of you and even worse... showing up to shop with their dog! Yep, dogs can be found alongside owners in the store regularly. I have seen patrons with less than sanitary animals at least 4 times in the past 4 months. These are not service animals, just chihuahuas in slings, pit bulls on chains and random manged animals. I have never understood why a Store Manager would not address this pet situation and politely ask the to take their furry friend outside? After I witnessed a lady (who was shopping in a store scooter) reach down and feed a snack to her chihuahua that she was swaddling like a baby - in a sling type contraption she was wearing - that was it. I'M OUT! Good bye Smiths, it was a great 8 year run. Will miss the good ol' days. I have moved over to Albertsons. Check out my pics to see the store cleanliness. If I had to chose between Smiths, Albertsons and Vons, it's Smiths all day every day and twice on Sunday's. I like their normal prices more than the other two options and their sales seems better to me too. Throw in their Friday offer where they give you a free item through their app and you got me. That $1 bread as a standard price gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside. I don't really mess with their meat or seafood counter but sometimes I snatch up some chicken thighs. No complaints. Plenty of self check out stands for me to use. When there is a good sale, sometimes they are sold out quickly. But that's life. Parking is always easy and being open 24 makes us friends. Its seems like the older I get the worse the service seems to get. I was shopping today and attempted to get the attention of an employee whom said i was rude for whistling to get his attention . The level of disrespect from this overly sensitive employee really disappointed me as a customer of over 40 years. I complained to his manager whom seemed to be his buddy and nothing was really done to address the employees caviler attitude . I guess since businesses are short staffed we consumers must suffer by paying high prices and getting worse service in return. Dan is the employees name and he's terrible at his job, just my opinion. If he had been paying attention to the self checkout line on his monitor I wouldn't have had to chase him down to get his attention which took him all of 5 seconds to fix was he got past his hurt feelings. I am furious and disappointed. I have been buying my groceries via Click List for 2 years. 3 THREE times in the past 3 weeks I have received my text and email to pick up my order. I arrive at the store and the order is not even picked yet. I was asked to come back in 2 hours. This is unacceptable. I shop near my work, not my home. So no I can not come back in 2 hours. I asked the employee why they did not call me, they have my phone #. She said she had no time, 30 seconds???? Do you think I have time to drive to the store, wait in the parking lot and then be told the order has not been picked. SO FRUSTRATED!!!! read more

Arguably the Nicest & Cleanest Smiths in Vegas. Their Deli is 1st class with friendly employees and GR8 selections. It generally is pretty crowded, but they have enough Checkers. They try to steer you to the self checkout, but I like dealing with Humans ! Also who the heck knows the codes for Fruits,Veggies,Donuts ( mmmmm ) etc. I'd rather wait a minute or 2 longer. An added Bonus, you are a few blocks from an In N Out ! not to mention an Arbys, El Pollo Loco and a few other fast food establishments. To me it is worth the drive. Been living around the corner from here for almost 8 years. Always been a great store. Definitely the best Smith's on the far west side. Especially since the remodel last year. Shelves are always pretty well stocked, even when the aisles are filled with pallets to restock. Love the selection of organics and the wide variety of products. Staff is also very friendly.
