I was excited to try the online ordering as smiths was offering a $30 coupon when you spend $75, plus they were having a great sale on meats. There was a hiccup with something I ordered, so went inside to add to my order. The gentleman was great. I got home to the chicken's Best Buy date was the date I was picking up, and the pork butt's expiration was a day past its Best Buy date! What?!?! A bit late in my review, but I wanted to be sure to tip my hat to the Smith's Pharmacy located inside this grocery store. We have been using this as our primary pharmacy for a number of years now. This team and these pharmacy folks are always on top of things, efficient, welcoming and just nice. But on this occasion, Chiara also has the title of " exceptional detective." In sorting out a hiccup between insurance carriers and odd computer mechanisms, literally at the moment of their closing hours, Chiara took a few extra minutes to want to curiously dig in with me on my challenge and solve....and she did! Patience, kindness, willingness to solve a problem....excellent service Chiara. Actually, although Chiara is getting my kudos for this review, again, I find this pharmacy and its team a good crew and will continue to use. I have been coming to this location often, but might be the first time that I am leaving a review. Oftentimes when I go, it's picking up chips and cottage cheese, or turkey burger patties. Today it was to pick up toothpaste and something else. One thing I find interesting is when it tends to be peak hours for a grocery store(early am, or late afternoon), there might be one checker and not enough kiosks open. Maybe it's a Staffing issue. But that's what happened again to me a couple of days ago. Long line, one checkout lane open. Prices from food doesn't change that drastically unless it's recently been eggs, meat. So, i would think Staffing wouldnt either. Cover the peak times during the day. Have all night to restock. The human element is going away at all the grocery chains with the kiosks. read more

First, a little backstory. Having lived in Vegas for 21 years now, I've grown accustomed to grocery shopping in 2 very specific places: Walmart and Winco. Both are "discount" style grocers and I had gotten so used to them that I nearly forgot what it was like to shop in an actual dedicated old school "grocery store". Smiths in Summerlin reminds me of shopping with my mom at Alpha Beta in the 80's. They have a floral department, a HUGE Produce and Butcher, fresh seafood, and a massive in house bakery. The only thing they're missing from 1987 is a huge clock on the back wall. They bag your groceries, take credit cards, and do so with a smile. They are also open until Midnight (wish they were 24/7). The staff was friendly and efficient and fast. Although their prices are definitely higher than where I usually go, it is still a relic that deserves 5/5. read more

This is my favorite Smith's location in Las Vegas. There is one a tad bit closer to me however I will choose to drive out to this one. The store is clean and well stocked. There is a wide selection of wines that you can't find at all Smith's locations. The curbside pick up service is always friendly and on time. Wow ,I just returned from shopping at this Smiths location just prior to Easter Sunday . What a huge difference at the seafood and meat department. The food looked so fresh and appealing . I paid my compliment to the very nice gentleman at the counter too, as when things are good it's important to let them know . At home in Reno, I always shop at Smith's for the best deals around. So naturally, when I needed to shop for groceries, this was the nearest Smith's. I was not disappointed. Actually, this supermarket actually had bigger departments, like produce and meat departments. Way bigger than the one I use in Reno. Great prices, of course difficult to find items because the layout is not the same. Also, difficult to find help to locate items. But all in all a good experience. We did self check out, and it accepts Apple Pay so you don't have to worry about carrying your wallet. Didn't really have any interactions with the workers. Unfortunately, the workers here don't really give a crap. All I wanted to know was if they had Torani French vanilla syrup. A female voice answered and was laughing. She was chatting and laughing with her coworkers. I get it. I wanna have fun at work too, but is it okay if you can just look it up quick for me? I guess not because she said she'd transfer me to grocery and no one ever picked up. I tried calling again.. I tried 3 times. Nothing. I just drove there, and turns out they do not have French vanilla. It was only vanilla. This silly request wasn't even for me to have syrup. I typically have a good experience at this Smith's location--the store is clean and most of the employees are friendly and helpful. However, during my visit around 5:20 PM on June 11th 2025, I witnessed something very disappointing. There was a manager, dressed in all black with short brown hair, loudly and unprofessionally yelling at employees just outside of the store. It seemed to be about an unfinished task, but the way it was handled felt completely inappropriate and uncomfortable to witness as a customer. The staff she was speaking to appeared respectful and cooperative, so the public reprimanding felt unnecessary and disrespectful. I understand that management has responsibilities, but this could have been handled much more professionally and in private. It definitely changed the tone of the shopping experience. read more

I'm not big on writing reviews but this place always great. I drive by three other competing stores to shop here. The reason for the review though is the manager ( general manager?) She is the shorter lady with blondish hair. She has been a manager there for atleast 3 years that I can recall. Ive never seen a more hard working person always doing something or helping someone. She has bagged my groceries, rang me up, helped me find items, and she always seems really positive. I work in a 5 diamond/5 star hotel but I wish some of our management had this lady's customer service drive. So, by all accounts, this smith is as good as any other I have been to in the Las Vegas proper area. However, since I work in food service I found something very disturbing to me last night when the wife and I went to pick up a couple of items. I am not sure when they got their frozen items delivered but there were at least 5 pallets of frozen items sitting on the sales floor and no one was stocking them. I touched several of the boxes and most of them were warm which means some of the food had gone bad or at the very least I wouldn't trust to eat. Frozen and Deli food should be stocked or stored at least 40 minutes after they have been delivered. I am not an expert on this matter but I am sure all of the frozen items I had seen had been out on the sales floor for at least a couple of hours. If you buy frozen food or deli food from this location make sure to inquire with the management staff about how they store and stock their product before you buy it. I shop here weekly and I always pick up my groceries. I have had many different delivery people in the lot, but the only one that has ever gotten. My order completely correct is a woman name Sherry B I would not shop here if it worked for her. She is very aware of sales and how things are done. When the other younger people have fill my order there's always things missing. If anyone deserves a reward and this store, it should be Sherry B. Everything was good until the self checkout, the guy who was working it was so rude to everyone and even kicked an elderly lady out and sent her to a teller instead of helping her and all he said was "im not helping, if you don't know how to use self checkout go to a teller." Now I've been to my fair share of Smith's Grocery Stores and this is easily the busiest. The constant hustle and bustle of this place keeps you on your toes while giving making every edible dream a reality that's too good to be true. They have fresh sushi made almost daily a wide variety of meats and cheeses at a high quality deli counter, plus a whole section of the store dedicated to cheese (I once spent a whole hour in this section, please don't judge, it was worth every minute lol) Spending a lot of my life living in the Vegas valley, Smith's was always around. I remember Sunday afternoons piling into the family car to go grocery shopping for the week. I also remember patiently sitting in the shopping cart seeing what candy or snacks I could sneak past mom and dad. So for some reason the nostalgia hit me and I got taken back to my childhood walking through these doors today when I was on my way to pick up a few things to make some beef stroganoff for dinner. This location was on my route home so I ducked in to get a few things. It has a nice layout, big produce section, and well labeled aisles. There were mask reminder signs at the entrance, sanitizer spray and paper towels by the carts (at the entrance), signs stuck to the floor to guide you down "one way" aisles, and most people were remembering to keep a distance. The store had everything on my list except for a specific frozen food item and sanitizer sprays. Plenty of liquid bleach, but no ready to use disinfecting sprays. I chose self-check out. The attendant there helped me figure out how to enter coupons, and he also was there to sanitize stations between customers. I used quite a few coupons that were recently mailed to me and am happy to report that those coupon items were all in stock. It's a nice store and I would patron it again. read more

I purchase a gift card and same day try to use it and it was block, due to some type of fraudulent number. Doesn't make senses why would a brand new gift card do that. Came here today to get deli sandwiches and sushi. There sushi is so good, always fresh. Since I don't like spicy sauce, the guy was kind enough to make it fresh in the non spicy version. The dragon rolls with the crab on the outside and crab on the inside with cucumber is amazing. The crunch shrimp sushi is so good, too. They have a nice selection. The grocery store is following social distancing with each isle dedicated to a certain direction. Love that they have the gas station nearby and price was cheaper than other stations. read more

This place would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the deli. The store is always clean and stocked plus the bonus of having the gas station right out side is money. The deli is never a good experience doesn't matter how thin you ask for things to be sliced they always cut it into slabs, give you the wrong type of meat. Today is the last time. Ask for 1.5# of ham they gave me turkey. I went back and asked if they could change it to ham and he did but he only gave me a pound. It's not a difficult job I did it when I was in HS.
