The deals were everywhere! I picked up a summer-weight duvet along with a new cover and shams to refresh the bedroom. I also found a stunning set of gold-toned serving flatware -- they have that sleek, high-end look without the boutique price tag. A few highlights and "hiccups" from this visit: The Food & Drink:I tried the fish balls with mashed potatoes for lunch, and they were actually pretty tasty. I also noticed an older gentleman sitting completely alone, casually drinking glasses of what appeared to be wine. Many IKEA locations with a restaurant license do serve beer and wine, and honestly, he had the right idea. Of course, I couldn't leave without hitting the food market for those specific cookies and foreign candies you just can't find anywhere else. The Atmosphere: At one point, navigating the floor felt a bit like an escape room. While the staff seems nice enough, they aren't exactly eager to help--you really have to run them down to get an answer. The Warehouse:I'm honestly not a fan of the self-service furniture selection policy. The whole warehouse environment is pretty intimidating when you're trying to track down boxes. The Strategy:Since I'm lucky enough to live only 25 minutes away I've realized I need to stop coming here like it's a once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage. If I visited more often, I probably wouldn't feel the need to drop $200 every time! Overall, it's a solid four-star experience for the unique finds and the reliable "Swedish-lite" atmosphere, even if you have to do some of the heavy lifting yourself.

I was really the next in line for a long time and it took forever and then I couldn't even return the item as they change their policy with out my notice on plants. Also for checking out after purchasing stuff the line was so long and it was very confusing. They didn't have any of the self checkouts open. I finally got to the front of the line and the cashier went away on a break so I had to wait longer. I felt like there's a lot of workers but they were just not on the cashier so it was just a slow process.

Not sure what their intentions were, but steam does not fix rips. We sent photos of more rips and was determined by the manufacturer as a defect. Took a few weeks which is understandable to get an replacement, but a replacement couch was sent. Here we are again with a new couch with the same rips. Now we are being told that the rips were caused by our dog. 1st off my dogs are perimeter guard dogs and never enter the house. Again, same rips as the original couch and now they want to blame on dogs!!! This company was recommended as a local business that stand behind their product which we found out first hand is NOT true. DO NOT BUY FROM MYERS GOODS HOME & DECOR. I gave them an opportunity to keep their name untarnished, but just dismissing clear manufacture defects and blaming animals is not ok. Do they want to blame my bearded dragon and turtles too?!?! This is a used bookstore with so much more to offer. Beyond books, they also carry unique knick-knacks like vintage clothing, arts, journals, and other thoughtfully curated items. The overall vibe is very bohemian and relaxing, the kind of place you can wander through and instantly feel at ease. As expected with a used bookstore, there's that classic old-book/thrift store scent, which comes with the territory and adds to the charm. The space itself is quaint, organized, and really cute. The bookstore section was my favorite, such a great selection across genres including mystery, romance, banned books, crime, and more. Truly something for everyone.
