I even commented to my husband as we left that everyone was so nice. When I woke up the next morning and we were packing up to leave the RV park, I noticed my wallet was missing. Panicked and worried we stopped by the restaurant early next morning. Staff was there cleaning and setting up for lunch. They had my wallet, all the $300 dollars cash and all my credit cards. I was so thankful for the honest and kind staff. It saved our trip and I cannot thank them enough. Wonderful place and we will be back again on our way home.

The worst part was that was all there was on the plate, two partial pieces of cod that wouldn't satisfy a child in quantity. The salad bar had mac salad which had been open to the air for hours and way showing that crusty surface from drying out. Too bad I can't upload the image I took with my camera. I was very disappointed. I'm sure Sunday must be better but I'll never go back in there to find out. Sorry, this is my honest opinion.

We were seated by the windows which a a terrific iew of the river and the outside patio. The weather was really windy, so we didn't sit outside. We ordered the pretzel bites for an appetizer and the country shrimp for dinner. A fresh warm loaf of bread was delivered to the table with some butter. The bread and butter was absolutely delicious. The pretzel bites were delivered to the table with some nacho cheese. A weird combination, but we tried it anyway. The pretzel bites were warmed in a microwave, which I could tell, because some of the bites were dehydrated and tough. Not a good choice if visiting. The fried coconut shrimp arrived with a great spicy cocktail sauce. The portion was good enough.for two people to share, along with the salads and a baked potato. There was no draft beer, we just had sodas. This restaurant is worth a try if you want a view of the river.

I politely asked the manager if my wife and I could move farther away, but instead of helping, he refused and told me it would be "just as loud" anywhere else. We moved ourselves anyway--and it was immediately and noticeably quieter. That told us everything. A simple customer request could have been handled in seconds, yet the manager chose to dismiss our concern rather than help. To make matters worse, my fish was overcooked. Good food can sometimes make up for imperfect service, and good service can sometimes make up for imperfect food. Unfortunately, we received neither. If customer service and good food matters to you when choosing where to spend your money, I would strongly consider other options. We will not be returning.

While they're known for their finger steaks (google it), we elected to order a few other items and while my wife got a super good sandwich, I got a chili burger and it was exactly what I hoped for. The chili was great, it was a large burger patty and all in all, with the additional "Sidewinder" fries, was a great filling meal after driving and driving and driving and well, driving. For those that look at the photo and wonder just how bad for me that delicious chili burger was, may I just note in my defense that Buster's have a BLT with a full pound of bacon (!!) on the menu. While it was absolutely calling my name, I'd like to think that getting the chili burger was my twisted mind rationalizing that it was healthy...(by comparison at least).
