They didn't fit properly in my lock. Turns out the blanks were not sized correctly. Now, this was in no way their fault and I can assure you that at least 95% of other places would have said, "that your problem and your blanks. We can charge you an arm and a leg for new blanks since yours don't work" and leveraged my predicament into a gain for them. Redlands Lock & Key didn't do that. Instead,they demonstrated the utmost "old school customer service" and went out of their way to see if they could make my keys work. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! It took them quite a bit of extra time, but they got my blanks to work. You just don't find this kind of generosity and customer service with businesses today. I explained that several people had this exact lock re-keyed, but they still said they could not do it. Called Mike's Locksmith and explained my situation. He said that he could and asked that I bring it in. Went to the shop and 15-20 minutes later it was done. I then asked him about getting a spare key made up and he gave me several options saying that I could get away with the least expensive option as a spare. No upselling at all. Will definitely come back here should I need to get any other locksmith jobs done.
