Wanted to mention the great experience I had with these guys. I called late in the afternoon to get a new key cut and reprogrammed and they were ready to b here first thing in the morning at 7am. When they arrived they treated me got their tools and got straight to work. Long story short they ended up finding a good tracker from previous owner that was interfering with the programming of new key and removed it at my request. I thought they were going to charge more but they honored their original quote Wich I thought was really cool. Would definitely recommend giving them a call. read more

My remote key wouldn't work. I went to Advanced Stereo in Moreno Valley and they tried to sell me a whole new alarm system for $362.00. Went Menos and they said they don't reprogram factory alarm systems. They advised I go to Ace Hardware that could not help. Looked up locksmith's and called R&J Keyshop. This place is the business!! Got a new key remote and they programmed it for $85 plus tax. Remote start and everything works and it only took him about 5 minutes to do it. If you need a new key fob or remote DO NOT GO TO A DEALER OR LOCKSMITH. This is the only place you need. They made my day today! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I cannot say enough good things about Raul and his son Jorge. We had a great house locksmith but he retired and someone else took over his business. And frankly I did not like his tune of voice. So I called R & J Keyshop~ Jorge had made a key for one of our cars last year and I knew he did a great job,was clean, nice and HONEST. Excellent service. Needed a lockout and re-key of 3 locks. One of the locks was 35 years old, yet George (Jorge) was able to re-key that as well as the other two to the same key. Pricing was fair, service and expedient contact were impressive, especially in the service industry. Had these guys install a commercial door lock which once they were finished it was having the same problems, which they said changing the lock was the reason it was doing what it was doing ( that was not the case ) and 2 weeks later the lock fell out the door and i don't mean it didn't lock the whole lock FELL OUT cuz it was not installed correctly and once I called to explain the situation they gave me a run around and said i would have to wait 3 days and never fixed their mistake so I have to have it replaced again by someone else and they told me they didn't install the most important part of holding a lock in which was a holding pin and said you would have to be a complete moron to forget the most important and apparently THE ONLY thing you have to do when installing that lock smh read more

Very disappointed. I went to this place because online it said they were open at 10am. I got to this place at 1030 am and it was still closed. I got a hold of this number for the business card 9515542544 a guy named gorge picked up and told me the guy for this location would be in within 15 minutes . I walked around for a while. At about 35 minutes after I called the place it was still closed with no one sight.I called that number back and no answer. I am just very disappointed with this establishment. It was my first time here and it will be my last. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I am just very disappointed with my experience here. read more

I went in there with my own key that needed to be cut.. once he cut my key he said it would be $8 when I asked him why it's $8 he said that even though I supplied my own key he still charges as if he supplied the key. So I said if you're charging me for the key you didn't supply, then give me the key you're charging me for to which he replied he didn't have any.. not very ethical if you ask me.. will not be going there again. read more

Our house recently caught on fire, everything inside was a total loss. Our keys got lost within all the debris that was left and we needed a locksmith quickly to make a copy of the keys that no longer exist to move our vehicle. A neighbor of ours called them up and they went to the house very quick and were able to create a new key very efficiently. They have very great service and great prices. Don't go there. Jorge is a diabolical LIAR & tried to rip us off. Few months ago my key fob broke and we decided to forgo the dealership and go to R & J's keyshop. We bought a new key online and went there to have them laser cut our Honda key. They did a fine job cutting the key. However, when we tried to use the key in our ignition, a strange little light appeared. So we thought we had to program it. My husband went back to R & J's Keyshop. But Jorge realized that all he had to do was transfer the key fob brain. Much to my chagrin, he still charged my husband $100; Which I was not happy about. Seriously, I could've done that myself and saved myself $100. Jorge promised my husband the next time we needed our keys done, he would do it for FREE. But it's actually not free since we paid for a service that he never did... On new years eve, our key somehow broke again & we decided to go back to R & J's to cash in on his promise. However, when we got there, Jorge pretended like he didn't remember his promise. After jarring his memory, he then tried to lie again and said he still needed $20 to cut our new key. We became indignant and he agreed too keep his promise. Then he tried one more time to LIE, & told me husband "I programmed your other key last time.". My husband then had enough and became irate until finally Jorge, the scam artist, seceded and held his end of the bargain. I'm still not happy. Seriously the length we had to go just to get him to do his job fairly and correctly was uncalled for. I'm never dealing with this company. I'm a business woman & I would never try to rip off my customers for a few extra dollars. I'm also reporting them to BBB. read more

I've had two experiences with R&J and they've both been stellar. The first was when I got locked out of my house. It was after 6PM so I assumed that most locksmiths would be closed. On a whim, I called them and behold they said they could be at my house within an hour. Jorge and his father were the heroes that day as they allowed my wife and I to get back in without too much fuss. Having had such a great first experience with them, I called them back when I needed to get some locks at the house replaced and everything re-keyed. They worked diligently and with a great attitude. I just received exceptional service from R & J Keyshop. I only had one transponder key for my 2011 Ford fiesta, I bought one online for $40. I took the key to R & J for laser cutting and programing. Jorge cut the key with no problem, but had difficulty programing it. It turns out the key was a cheap Chinese knock off with a bad chip. Jorge found an uncut key in his shop with the same chipset, he cut open the key handle ( destroying the key ) in order to remove the chip. Then replaced the bad chip with the new chip. He spent two and one half hours working on the key ( some of that time was with Ford customer service ). He went far and above what he had to do, and did not charge me extra, even for the destroyed key. I was charged $35 for the laser cut and $65 for the programing. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a quality locksmith. read more
