I'm leaving 1 star because I have to leave something- I'd like to leave none if it was an option. On a terrible evening we called our insurance to assist with our keys locked in our vehicle. Alex, in car 58, could not have been more unprofessional. Thank you sir, for making a bad evening worse. 1. Do you think we don't already feel like morons for locking our keys in the trunk?! You adding insult reflects poorly on the business you represent. 2. You attempted to stay on the call after you could not help and were super shady about it- to what? Get one of your buddies to come out and take us for a ride financially. Before you even left, I had AAA on the line with assistance AT NO CHARGE! This place rocks! I got locked out of my car when my lock was jammed with something in the slot. My "24/7" roadside service was not available and my phone was almost dead. I put in a quick call after finding this place on google and was told it would be 30 min but he showed up in 10 min. He was quick, professional and nice! Def recommend! read more

Thanks goodness for this place. It was wee late in the night and I needed someone to pick my lock. After calling several of places, Pop-A-Lock was the friendliest and relatively cheap. The operator was not rude like the other places I called. And the locksmith that came out was also nice. Service was quick - within 20 minutes of calling the locksmith arrived. The locksmith actually had to disassemble and reassemble my doorknob, so he offered his business card in case the door does not lock in the future. He even suggested getting a spare key and hiding it somewhere in the yard. Talk about not caring about job security =). They accept cash or credit card. read more

After getting confirmation 2 HOURS later that a locksmith was dispatched, I receive a call from my tenants saying the locksmith "isn't comfortable with opening the door". Thanks to Pop-a-lock for coming out to my home at 11pm on a Sunday night! After locking my self out of my master bedroom (yes a little embarrassing) and trying for an hour to open myself I didn't want to damage my door or frame so I had no choice but to call a locksmith. I googled and yelped for a lock smith.. many said open 24 hour but once I called all I could do was leave a message. Nobody has time for that!! You could not ask for a better company (and a great team of knowledgeable technicians) in a sticky situation. Pop-A-Lock was dispatched to me through my car insurance's roadside assistance; once for a dead battery, and the other for a flat tire. For each incident, I received a courteous phone call within minutes of placing my initial call to my car insurance's road side assistance informing me that my technician would be arriving shortly. Lo and behold, the technician arrived faster than was stated, and made quick work of fixing my problems. WAY too long of a wait. Made my kids and I stand in the sun for over an hour. Said it would only take 30 minutes. My son is about to miss his appointment in 20 minutes. I told the guy coming to unlock my car and he didn't seem bothered at all. I'm having to stand in the sun with my one year old and four year old- no sunscreen- and wait for this guy to take his sweet time. Horrible customer service. read more

Seems like they have new employees all the time and sometimes they do not know how to treat customers and be genuine. The customer service is terrible. I called twice regarding some issues with my remote lock on my car. Both times they answered I was promised that the would get back to me . They never did call me back. All they had to do is tell me that they were very busy and won't be able to get back to me. SOO HAPPY WITH MY SERVICE TODAY! I had my purse stolen which included my car key and I had no spare so I called my roadside assistance which set me up with Pop-A-Lock. The roadside assistance messed up and so when Alex arrived he was under the impression I just needed my car unlocked. However he handled the situation professionally and made sure to contact the right people to get me locksmith services. Within less than an hour William showed up and saved the day! He was able to make me a new key that works for my car and he did it in a timely manner! Best customer service ever. Very fast and friendly and cheap. I lockec my key inside my trunk by the lake Perris, and they were the only locksmith that opened on Sunday. Only took them 15min to get to me and pop my door open. The price is surprisingly low too. Awesome. They saved my day. read more

Update: In response to the earlier reply, I didn't call anyone a Jew. You must have me confused with someone else. The going rate at two other local locksmiths for cutting a transponder key is $5. They literally laughed when I told them Pop a lock wanted $65. The reason I bought the keys from Amazon was because I was getting many keys cut, some of which you did not carry. So I asked if you guys would order some "Ilco 1611R"s. Your salesman agreed and I was told you would call me back when you got them in. 3 weeks later no call. I ordered a pack of 10 for cheaper than you guys quoted me with 2 day shipping. So while I was at it I bought the other blanks I needed. That's when I came in and you guys tried to over charge me. I left your place went to the guy off Alessandro and Elsworth and got them cut for the actual going rate. They also provided a better quality cut. Just so I'm clear, when you get a whole bunch of keys cut its expected a couple of them are not going to work or be vary tight. The first set of keys that I had cut from Pop a Lock had 3 dead on arrival. Not one from the guy off Alessandro. And on top of all of that, they happened to carry in stock all the keys I needed cut. So next time I will not need to source my own blanks, pay too much, or have to deal with bad customer service. I will definitely not be going back to Pop a Lock. There are several other options all of which are better than this place. In response to the "business owner" that called me a "cheap scape" (it's actually "cheapskate") clearly you do not understand business. "Business is a good game. Lots of competition and a minimum of rules. You keep score with money" In this case, the key to winning would be: supply an equal or greater service for a lower cost than your competitor. For the most part the key blanks are all the same quality, and roughly the same price. The only major variable is quality of cut. Which Pop a Lock clearly lacks. They are attempting to charge more for an inferior service. The smart shopper will spend his money elsewhere. read more

Also it was night when I called them and was worried about the time it would take them to get to me, but they came out on short notice and were there with in like 10 minutes! I previously went and applied to pop a lock and I got an email from Teri her self so I call her with the number she left me and ask me when I applied I then proceed and tell her and she's quick with a response and says I'm not Qualified and have.
