Horrible service. Called yesterday and they told me they would have the locksmith call me later that day. Well, that never happened. So, I call again today and again they tell me they would have the locksmith call me. For the second time it never happened. Sooo I locked myself out my house. Called Pop-A-Lock and was told no problem...we'll be there in 45 mintues to an hour. After an hour and 15 minutes I called back to get an ETA. I was on hold for 10 minutes only to be told they're sorry but no one is one their way and they can't even provide the service at all. ???? The original person I talked to told me no problem....the recording I listen to while on hold specifically says they handle home lockouts, and on top of that, I was waiting an hour and 20 minutes for a tech that was never going to show, with no call back from PopAlock to tell me so I could schedule someone else. I can't rave enough about the great service! I needed my office re-keyed on Saturday (early evening), the locksmith arrived within 30 minutes. I needed a lot of keys, I asked if he could make a few keys and bring the rest back on Monday. He arrived Monday morning with the rest of keys. He was helpful, had a great attitude, and professional. At 9 am on January 1st, 2017, I called Pop a Lock requesting service in Moreno Valley. CA. I told them I am driving in from Orange County to open the front door of my rental house in Moreno Valley as the renters had moved out without leaving me a key. They said "no problems; just call back once you are 20 minutes away and the locksmith would meet you there". They said the charge is $79, but due to the holiday, the surcharge would bring the price to $100. I agreed with that price and told them my drive there would take about 1.5 hours. When I call back at 10:40 am, the answering service said that the locksmith decided to call it a day just before that (perhaps he had too much to drink celebrating New Year's Eve) and they cannot help me anymore. I was extremely disappointed. However, I found a local locksmith who did it for $70. (I brought with me my property tax bill to prove I am the owner of the property) read more

I want to give a big shout-out and recommendation to the local Pop-A-Lock, phone number 951-355-0629. I had called them Friday night at 7 p.m.and told them the situation. My son had called and told me his car key had broken in half and he did not have a second key. Pop-A-Lock told me they could have someone at the location of my son's car in about 30 to 40 minutes, which they did. My son's car key had broken in half and he was stranded at his work in Orangecrest. Adam at Pop-A-Lock was very professional and very helpful. He was able to make a new key with chip for my son's vehicle. He was also very knowledgeable on how to save money getting extra keys made for your vehicles avoiding the high price of dealerships.The entire process was very streamline. I highly recommend the local Pop-A-Lock for any issues with getting secondary keys for your vehicle and any roadside emergencies related to locks and keys. If I could give them zero stars I would! My insurance company contacted this company to unlock my vehicle and told me they would be there in about 30 minutes. They never showed up & never called. I called the insurance company after an hour. They were having computer problems so it took quite a while for my insurance company to get a hold of the company to schedule a new lock out service and because the computers were down they didn't know they were calling the same company. I waited about 10 minutes and called the company and they were able to get a hold of the person doing the call and they said they were at the vehicle and couldn't unlock the vehicle. I let the dispatcher know that NO they were not at the vehicle and they had never been to the vehicle. They may have very good people working for them but obviously this person didn't want to do their job this evening but still wanted to get paid! I called and complained to my insurance companies supervisor and they will be contacting this company tomorrow (hopefully anyway!) We ended up waiting a total of 4 hours for a simple lockout all because this person didn't want to do their job (and still get paid)! I will be following up with this company tomorrow and also my insurance company to make sure that doesn't happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Called the owner, Art Irvin, after his driver was late. His driver called me this morning at 9:09 am to tell me that he was 30 minutes away. He called me again at 10:26 am to tell me he was going to be another 30 minutes late. He didn't show up until after 11:00am. I was charged $45.00 for the call and obviously was unhappy since the technician didn't even service the lock. As a business owner, I decided to call the owner to tell him about the unsatisfactory service. Immediately, the guy becomes defensive and begins to talk over me. He tells me, "we gave you a window between 9-11 and my driver showed up on time. I said, "you're lying." which he replies, "Yeah, I hear that all the time." He accuses me of demanding my money back which again was a lie. I never asked for my money back, although he kept saying, "Take me to court", "Find another locksmith", and "I've been called a liar before." I just wanted him to know how shitty their service was. This guy definitely needs to know how to treat people. First impressions are lasting. read more

This is probably the least professional company I've ever dealt with. My insurance contacted them as part of my emergency roadside assistance. They gave me an ETA of 30 minutes. After waiting 1.5 hours I called to ask what the real ETA is and they put me on hold and then said I'd get a call from a technician in 5-10 minutes, which didn't happen. 30 minutes later I called again and asked AGAIN if there was an ETA, this time I did get a call back. Their new ETA was another hour. So they pitch fast ETAs and then maybe 3 hours later you'll get service. I ended up calling my insurance back and asked for a company that will actually come out and help me. The new company came in 20 minutes (faster than their predicted ETA). Anyway, because I wasted so much time waiting for this company I missed my class (which kinda sucks, cause grad school), and I would have made my class if they'd come at their original predicted ETA. read more

I had a dead bolt that the key was just spinning in the lock. Add to that the screw holding the lock in the door was a specialty screw. So I called Pop a Lock. Art told me how to lock the door over night, and I made an appointment for the next day at a time convenient to me. Thirty minutes before the appointment Mark called to confirm, and then showed up right on time. He replaced the dead bolt and the door knob which also would not lock, expediently. On Sunday 24 July my family and myself were driving on I-60 and had a blowout near University Avenue in Riverside. Called Pop-A-Lock and they sent out Eric to fix the tire. Not knowing the city we ask where we could purchase a tire and he had us follow him as he knew of a place open on Sundays and it was on the way to his next call. Great service and GREAT price! I shopped around to have our commercial locks re-keyed, and got a very good deal. They showed up when they said they would for a same day service, and the people that helped me were very friendly. The lady who helped me on the phone was so nice and helpful, and the gentlman who showed up was polite and worked very quickly. Wow!!! This place is Something Else!!! I had them come out and put my spare tire on my Truck 9 months ago. I have not moved my truck since then because of I was working on my Engine for the past 9 months. I live in OC and drive out once a month or when I can to work on it while it is at my friends house. So I finally get her running, new battery, my 24 inch rim is still in the machine shop so the SPARE TIRE that has been on it is all I have. I am driving down the road and the Tire starts to come off. I call them because the job wasn't done right, 9 months have passed and they and they told me they don't know where I have been since. Hmm, who cares where I have been, the Rim should not come off No Matter WHAT!!! 9 Months, even if I drove it for nine months, it still shouldn't come off. I should be able to drive it for 9 years, 90 years and it should NOT COME OFF!!! I call them and they hang up and tell me too bad. Worst place EVER!!! Court it is!!! read more
