Could not be happier we were referred to Mike and Real McCoy Plumbing…read more Our kitchen sink became gradually clogged and the usual remedies (vinegar/baking soda/hot water, cleaning out the p-trap, etc.) did not resolve the problem. We had a drain specialist come twice, charge us, and leave us with a mess in addition to not actually fixing the clog. The technician told us we had something like "50 feet of coiling pipe" that was impossible to snake, and snakes "don't go longer than 35 feet". Not an ideal situation especially with a toddler and us having to use the bathtub on the main floor to do our dishes and bottles for several days. Mike made extra time in his schedule to come on a Friday night (maybe sensing our stress over the phone). Him and his team could not have been more patient and eventually diagnosed the problem (which was not at all related to the drain specialist's claim). Mike laid out a couple options and him and his team did an awesome job resolving the issue for us. They came back to fully clean up, and ended up charging us a very reasonable amount for all the work they did. Thanks to this experience we'll be calling them for all plumbing issues going forward and will refer them to our friends & neighbors.

In an effort to isolate , what they thought was an additional shut off valve, they proceeded to cut three holes in my ceiling. After not finding what they thought was there they tried to replace the pieces of the ceiling breaking half of them. Needless to say the job was not completed. One week later another maintenance man comes and fixes the issues and wonders why the other two cut my ceiling. He assured us Bertoli would fix the ceilings immediately. The end result is Bertoli office refused to repair any of THEIR damage unless we gave them another $895.00. This company is a disgrace to the township of Rockaway if they can't stand behind their incompetence. I appreciate the Bertoli response once they realized a mistake and poor communication among us was the real issue. Thanks for stepping up to the plate Bertoli.

Obviously, my first call was to PSE&G who found multiple gas leaks, turned off my gas meter, suggested I get a good plumber and told me how lucky I was, since this could have had a horrific outcome. I received a recommendation from a friend for Jersey Plumbing. Rex from Jersey Plumbing arrived within 20 minutes of my phone call. After assessing the situation, Rex went to town hall and obtained an emergency work order. The next day Jersey Plumbing installed, and leak tested my new gas lines. The township plumbing inspector approved the new gas lines and informed me that it was excellent work. After approval, Rex lit all my pilot lights and ensured all my gas appliances were working properly. Rex suggested and helped facilitate a fabricated safety cover for the new gas pipping. Rex was very professional, highly knowledgeable, explained every step and showed extreme kindness in my frenzied state of mind. Jersey Plumbing is my new plumber.

They sent a technician out, and I have to say, he was very honest and professional. I was already prepared to spend some money on renovations after buying the house, so the last thing I wanted was an unexpected $2,000+ expense for a new water heater. Instead of immediately trying to sell me a new unit, the technician was able to repair the existing one and get it working again. I really appreciated that. He could have easily told me I needed a complete replacement, and I probably would have believed him. In a few months, when I'm ready, I'll definitely call them again to discuss replacing the unit, possibly with a tankless system. It's getting harder these days to find honest plumbers who will actually try to fix something before trying to sell you something new. Based on my experience, I definitely recommend this company.
