Worst experience I've ever had. Customer service is Terrible, and their lab technicians are amateurs

If you're looking for a simple cleaning and oral exam this is the place to go. All in the office are great, hygienists, and dentist. Always made me feel comfortable. However if you need major dental services like a bridge, tooth extraction, etc. this is not the place. I paid over 10k for work to be prepare and set a bridge. Slightly two years later the bridge cracked and the company they use has no warranty. They have audacity to call and leave a voice message that if I want to pay another 4.5k they will order and replace my bridge. Really on a 2 year cycle. I really hate to leave a negative as o have referred everyone I know here but until they change companies or offer guarantees on their products. Buyer beware

I made an Appt with Dr. Millard (under my network). They instead gave me Dr. Leinen (out of network) for a 3 minute review that made me liable for the entire $311 charge (which would have been $0 for me if Summit had simply followed instructions). For all potential customers--you now see how Summit Dental will deal with any problem that may arise -- they'll simply call you names and not accept responsibility for their errors. Personally, I'm done with this firm.

Ankeny Dental UNProfessionals,…read more After a regular dental cleaning, the hygienist normally schedules your next appointment in 6 months. Well, mine scheduled it earlier that 6 months so when I got my next cleaning I was sent a bill because Insurance would not pay due to the office's scheduling mistake. I called the office to explain their mistake in scheduling and I was told that I needed to know what my Benefits were and it was my responsibility. In time, I was told that this would go to "collections" and the office would not even split their mistake with me 50/50. Now I don't know about you but I trust that my dentist/hygienist will schedule me for a 6 month cleaning or if a mistake is made, that they own their mistake. (I have since found a new dentist and I explained this scenario to the new dentist and they said they would have "written it off" because of the mistake that was made). I prefer to go where staff are Professional...they now are my new dentists. The dentists are great but the BILLING dept and manager are very unprofessional. I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with these staff members. Dr. Huston is and always will be a good friend but I think the Practices' choice for billing staff needs to be changed. Has anyone else had to deal with this billing staff? Post it here because I guarantee there are more of you out there. Adios UNprofessional Billing Staff

I had never had a crown before and was very apprehensive, but Dr. Huston was very thorough and explained why the crown would help keep that tooth as well as protect the other tooth. It was a very easy procedure- virtually painless. I received a temporary crown and then went back and received a permanent one. Now they have one day crowns for a permanent one which will be even better because they have their own new machine. I appreciate going to a dental office that stays current with the newest technology to help patients. Karen

Where do I begin. Went to then at the end of August 2023 . Was told I needed the deep cleaning with…read moremeds , my wisdom teeth out , and two crowns done. They wanted to jam all these visits into 4 visits! FOUR !! They quoted me at like 2500, and I took out a care credit loan (paid in full as of August 27th 2024) At my first visit (8/31/2023 they did the deep cleaning (1,337.00) My second visit 09/05/2024 they did half my mouth the meds for perio (1,318.00) Third visit 09/11/2024 (640.00)other half of my mouth with meds and temporary crowns for the two that needed done . They did this even though I told them I couldn't afford to pay for the permanent crown until into the new year. DID YOU KNOW temporary crowns are only supposed to stay in your mouth for two weeks? I had no idea . 4th visit 09/12/2024 (2,814.00) got 3 of my wisdom teeth removed. They did an xray after , and after I had been home for over an hour calls me and tells me I need to come back in because they found a WIRE in my gums from when the dentist put my temporary crown in on 09/11/2024. The oral surgeon removed it and said I had an infection and put some meds on it. ( that is when I should've started to raise hell but was was coming off of being under and didn't think to say anything ) they then sent me home and I proceeded to have the worst pain of my entire life . Like nobody can describe oral pain. I went back in mutiple times and the dentist would not listen to me . So I went to Altoona Smiles (Dr. Daniel's is amazing and I recommend him so much) He doesn't understand why they'd even put a temporary crown let alone two in my mouth when I said I couldn't afford the pertinent until the new year. So guess what I had to go ahead and pay for those temporary's to be redone by Altoona smiles and then two weeks following get my permanent's in. I am now a patient permanently with Altoona Smiles . I recently got a message from a debt collector for Aspen. Apparently my claims with them all denied and they had never called me to tell me . Altoona did after my first visit and my insurance company fixed the issue and reprocessed the claims . That is literally all they needed to do. Aspen didn't and now after talking with my dental insurance they will do everything in their power to get those claims from 2023 reprocessed . Moral of the story is Aspen Dental just thinks of you as cows going through the slaughter house. They truly do not care about you . Always check reviews, before making an appointment. Hopefully this review saves some people the pain and suffering . I now have major anxiety with dental care , but my dentist understands and knows how to handle with care . ASPEN DOES NOT HANDLE WITH CARE!

I went in several months ago with a chipped tooth and was told that I would be able to schedule a filling. I said yes, that would be great, please just let me know when I can come in. TWO MONTHS later at my regular cleaning, I asked about when I could schedule that filling. I was told that I'd never made the decision to have one. So I said, whatever, you know, errors happen and let's move forward. I am supposed to have an appointment on Monday for my first cavity I've ever had. I have been a unit administrator for five years in the Army. I know for a fact that if ADDP Soldiers spend less than $750 at a dentist or $1500 cumulative then they just need to go online to request a control number. The receptionist tried to tell me, confidently, that I needed to call my unit commander about this. My unit commander is m-day and she has nothing to do with dental care. Then she laughed at me when I said I'm a unit administrator and I've never had to do that before. You've lost my business, and frankly, I'm pretty offended that you think I'm hilarious. I'm also angry that you're telling fellow servicemembers incorrect information about their dental care, which is pretty important to their military career, to be honest. I'm already stressed enough about having my first cavity ever at 28 and you did not help. Now I have to find a new dentist and my cavity will be worsening.
