If you're looking for a simple cleaning and oral exam this is the place to go. All in the office are great, hygienists, and dentist. Always made me feel comfortable. However if you need major dental services like a bridge, tooth extraction, etc. this is not the place. I paid over 10k for work to be prepare and set a bridge. Slightly two years later the bridge cracked and the company they use has no warranty. They have audacity to call and leave a voice message that if I want to pay another 4.5k they will order and replace my bridge. Really on a 2 year cycle. I really hate to leave a negative as o have referred everyone I know here but until they change companies or offer guarantees on their products. Buyer beware

I've been through routine cleanings and have been very happy with all of the hygienists as well as Dr. Jason Brown. I have also completed the invisalign program while a patient with Lakeside Dental and am extremely happy with my results. For me, the program took about 2 years to complete and Dr. Brown made sure all of the concerns about my teeth were addressed and corrected. He was very diligent and knowledgeable in this area. I was very impressed with the technology available with the invisalign impressions. Here, rather than the old school dental impressions, they used the iTero instrument that takes real-time 3D images of your teeth. I was in the office today for a routine cleaning and met Dr. Jones, who seems very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you all for everything you do to give me a beautiful smile!

Then a few years ago I went in for a cleaning and the doctor berated me for my vegan diet, told me to come back in a couple weeks because for evaluation of a potential root canal something he should've known that day. He guilted me and made me very scared. I decided to do research and had read on healing cavities naturally, and gave it all I had to attempt to remineralize myself. Then in the past week I had an abscess start on one tooth and another tooth chip. My perfect teeth down the drain. I was emotional. I thought for sure I was going to need to have dentures. I'm still single and never married, so my possibility of finding a man who would accept my dentures was going to be out the door. I have had one skeleton in the closet that no one other than me knew about. My teeth look beautifully white when I smile, but inside my mouth they have been more than an embarrassing mess. I was praying and praying the Lord would heal them so that nobody would ever have to see how disgusting they were. So when I arrived and learned that I only needed a root canal and essentially a partial prosthetic tooth my fears of dentures were resolved. But a root canal? Doesn't that mean they pull my tooth from the root and that will cause some major pain? Dr. Johnson explained exactly what it was to me but I knew it was going to require an anesthetic. The last time I had one of those shots I couldn't help but let out a scream. Medicine has changed so much that there are now topical numbing agents that make it so you barely feel the needle. At the end of the day there was no pain. I'm passing through Iowa on my way home from several months of travel. Dr. Johnson made every accommodation possible to get me moving along. He didn't judge my chosen vegan and alternative natural lifestyle and was willing to work with me on other options. I think that's what we all want. Someone who gives us their professional opinion then gives us the freedom to make our own decision. Those decisions may turn into poor choices but at least all of the information was laid out on the table. Thanks to Dr. Johnson there is hope for me! I might not have to die all alone after all!

Well, mine scheduled it earlier that 6 months so when I got my next cleaning I was sent a bill because Insurance would not pay due to the office's scheduling mistake. I called the office to explain their mistake in scheduling and I was told that I needed to know what my Benefits were and it was my responsibility. In time, I was told that this would go to "collections" and the office would not even split their mistake with me 50/50. Now I don't know about you but I trust that my dentist/hygienist will schedule me for a 6 month cleaning or if a mistake is made, that they own their mistake. (I have since found a new dentist and I explained this scenario to the new dentist and they said they would have "written it off" because of the mistake that was made). I prefer to go where staff are Professional...they now are my new dentists. The dentists are great but the BILLING dept and manager are very unprofessional. I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with these staff members. Dr. Huston is and always will be a good friend but I think the Practices' choice for billing staff needs to be changed. I had never had a crown before and was very apprehensive, but Dr. Huston was very thorough and explained why the crown would help keep that tooth as well as protect the other tooth. It was a very easy procedure- virtually painless. I received a temporary crown and then went back and received a permanent one. Now they have one day crowns for a permanent one which will be even better because they have their own new machine. I appreciate going to a dental office that stays current with the newest technology to help patients. Karen
