Had new fascia put on my house and ordered two windows…read more After the initial quote, the price went up for the fascia, and was told that it was more than 28 days since my quote--it was, it was 30 days. That said I still went ahead with the contract. The fascia was done in a timely manner, and looks nice. No complaints, other than the price hike. The windows were a different story. They came and measured and it took them 8 weeks to finally schedule my appointment. I guess they don't really care about the "smaller" jobs. When they came, they informed me that they had mis measured the larger window and couldn't install it. They re-measured it and assured me they would put a "rush" on it. They installed the other window but didn't have time to wrap it. Fast forward another 6 weeks and I get a call telling me they need to measure the window again. Hello? Didn't you do that 6 weeks ago? Regardless it still wasn't ordered! They had to come and measure again (3rd time now). I'm not a contractor, but you think that if you are you would know how to do that right the first time. Fast forward another 2 months to finally get them to install it. Total time to get two windows installed was 6 months. Unacceptable. Paid them half up front, half upon finished. Paid in cash. Get final paperwork and find they put a lien on all projects. Beware of this company.

So when we needed new roofing, siding, gutters, gutter covers, facia and soffits I obtained several quotes. Erik didn't hesitate to come out to Farmington and quote the project. We had some "slick" salespeople and we had a guy that wouldn't give me a quote (he really didn't like women was my opinion) and would only deal with the insurance company. Erik was professional, honest and not "slick." The price was fair. My test is always the "warm and fuzzies." After a few meetings with Erik, he had my business. Then came the problems. Every color combo for all of the above items had items out of stock, discontinued or something. Erik made a lot of phone calls and several vendor trips. I have no idea how many combos we went through - probably 15 or so. Finally we found a combo that could be put together. YEAH!!!! Erik was patient through all of the "I hate neutrals" moments and several trips of holding colors against the house in different light. Roof install went well and then we had to wait 2 weeks for the siding. The siding installation was completed and they came back and fixed a couple of small items and we were done before Thanksgiving. Erik was around almost daily and even picked up extra FOD on his own. They installed our new lights and Ring cams too. Erik was easily reachable and kept on top of the project and kept me up to date. Very impressed. They were within $7 of the original quote (I think permit fees changed). Very happy and thankful that I selected Erik and Roofs R Us.

I have an older home that was built in 1941 and part of my roof is a decorative turret. There's no function to this thing, but it looks cool. The problem was that we were getting water coming inside where the turret met the traditional roof. My wife contacted Josh and he promptly came out to look at our roof. He knew what the problem was right away and scheduled a time that Chuck would come out to make the fix. Besides the roof issue, we were getting water in from our chimney. For that, Joe came out to the rescue. No more leaks. It's more complicated than that, but the communication from Minnesota Roofing with me and my wife was great. They let us know where the trouble spots were and how they would fix the problem. They came out to make the fix at a reasonable price and we have been dry ever since. My wife and I have had to do quite a bit of work to our new home to fix it up and I have come across many contractors that have been dismissive to my wife. Not the MN Roofing Company. Both me and my wife are into fixing this house together and everyone who works for MN Roofing Company has been respectful and easy to work with for both of us. We cannot recommend these guys enough. Someone came out to look at the job, and while that person was at the house, we asked for a quote on some additional exterior work not covered by insurance. After a few rounds of contract modifications, the company ultimately never followed up, not even to say they didn't want the job. The second experience happened this year. After another hailstorm, a lot of roofing companies wanted to inspect our roof. Almost all honored our response of 'No' - except MN Roofing. I have received multiple text messages from different representatives of the company asking the same question - do I want the roof inspected? I either ignore the text or say 'No'. I try blocking the number and reporting it as spam. And I STILL get another text message from someone else at the company. Extraordinarily annoying. If they don't honor a potential customer's response, will they listen to the customer's requests once a job is started?
