I wondered in here hungry and desperate, never having had a smashburger before. I was pleased fo find that they had gluten free bread and decided to go out on a limb and try their mushroom burger. It was SCRUMPTIOUS. The service was nice to engage with and while it wasn't super fast because they cook to order, it was delicious when I got it. Ill definitely be going back.

Terrible service. My pick up order was marked as ready at 2:22pm and I was not handed my food until 2:37pm. No apology no free drink no nothing. Definitely my last time here. Too many food options in the Gallery Place area to accept subpar service. Poor service does not breed return business.

The bottom of the cup is SATURATED with oil, like the fries...

Today was my first time eating anything from any Smashburger. I ordered from the 7th Street NW location since it's close to my office. The burger was okay, but the fries are too disgusting to get past the first piece. They looked like they've been soaking in the deep fryer after being cooked. When I tipped the cup on its side, it was more obvious. YUCK!

Enjoyed the double BBQ smash burger with fries. Nice for a quick bite to enjoy alone or with others. Hard to find good parking but there are parking meters around. Our server, Diamond, was excellent in giving us details on what's best to try and delivered our food with a smile. I enjoyed the various drink options as well that had free refills. Enjoy.

I am not a big burger person but have learned if it a smash burger you can always count me in. This burger was so good and so was my shake. The burger was nice and juicy and the bun was soft as welll

NONNNNNNNN-DAIRY!!!!!!!!!!!! If I didn't have her epi-pen we would've had to call 911!!!

Didnt receive the double bbq bacon. My daughter has a dairy allergy (not just lactose intolerant) and I had to use her EPI-PEN because they sent her a DAIRY shake as opposedto the NON-DAIRY that was ordered! The CLASSIC burger had CHEESE ON IT...just THE WORST! Obviously the staff is lacking and dropping the ball! Don't know if the food was any good because it was all EXTREMELY COLD by the time we stabilized our daughter! It was cold when we got it anyway.

The food was ok. It was my first time eating here. The time it took for them to cook my cousin's 6 chicken wings was wild. She ordered her food before us and we'd gotten our food, eaten, and ready to go before they finished hers. She ended up getting it to go. They were astronomically slow. I think I'm all set on smash burger, but check it out if you're interested just prepare yourself for potentially a long wait time.

stumbled upon this spot while walking around downtown with friends. Decided to check it out and I'm glad we did. 3/4 of us got the spicy jalapeño burger. This burger did not disappoint ! If youre into spice def order it. The single patty was filling, but totally understand if youre a double patty person. The tater tots and fries were also pretty tasty. I ordered the oreo milkshake as well and asked if they could add a bit of caramel and they gladly did. Shoutout to kendall and the team for making our time there memorable and delicious.

Honestly we were so pleasantly surprised by how good the burgers are! I had the Capital Burger which had such incredible flavor and the burger itself is thick and juicy. Despite having just had a big dinner somewhere else, as I write this, my mouth is watering. My daughter had the wild mushrooms burger and she loved it -- the aioli had the perfect tang to go with the mushroom and Swiss, both burgers were cooked perfectly medium as requested. The old fashioned was just your typical old fashioned with a slice of candied bacon attached to the outside of the glass. We were hoping for something smokier and a little different but it was still a very good Old Fashioned. We shared the chocolate mousse and it was perfection. Yum! If I lived here this would be my new regular spot.

I had the blue cheese and black truffle cheeseburger, with bacon, and it was good. . Very good. I could not identify or really pinpoint where the black truffles came in, but the beef was well seasoned. The additions were a dollar too expensive across the board so I skipped those. The fries were sort of stereotypical, nothing really fancy about those. I debated about having the truffle fries, but didn't really wanna pay the extra three dollars. Bless my server, he didn't know what black truffles were, either. The Reesie's peanut butter cup Skrewball milkshake was quite good. Good use of Skrewball. Could've done with a little more alcohol, but what a great combination. Good taste. Vanilla ice cream and peanut butter all the way through. My only .. concern.. were the pickles. There's this NoVA chain restaurant that serves POPCORN before the meal, which I think has to be the most depressing, unappetizing, lazy and cheap way to start a meal. Capital Burger servers sliced sweet pickles in a jar. That.. is a step up from popcorn, but not by much... If I was in the mood for a burger and boozy milkshake, this would be on the list, but not my first choice.

They were seriously understaffed, and with a line out the door, the place was BUSY. That said, the staff was doing their best to keep up with the constant flow of customers. I was able to grab a table, and interestingly enough, ordering through DoorDash was much faster than ordering directly through the cashier. I ordered the Barbie Girl burger, which was pretty good overall, although it arrived a little soggy. The onion rings were definitely overcooked and greasy, but they still had decent flavor. Since I arrived around happy hour, I grabbed a glass of wine and enjoyed my lunch. Considering how slammed they were, the servers actually did a decent job. They were running around like crazy but remained friendly and attentive when they could. I definitely want to give Ghostburger another try when they're properly staffed and it's not quite as chaotic. I have a feeling the experience, and my burger, will be much better under normal circumstances! Worth another visit.

From start to finish, I have absolutely no negative feedback at all. 1. The Food Everything we ordered was completely divine! Here's the rundown: -Sandwiches: My husband got a Bogan Bun. My son a Mumbo Bun chicken sandwich and listen, he didn't speak a single word the entire meal because he was enjoying it so much! I ordered the Lucky Bun made with an Impossible patty. It was everything! Best I've had at a restaurant! In fact, my son, who loves beef burgers and claims he doesn't like plant based meat, ended up eating the rest of my burger! He tore that plant based meat DOWN! -Thick cut chips & Queso: The waiter let us know that their portion of fries (chips) could easily feed 3 to 4 people. He was not lying at all. The three of us shared one basket. I don't know if the sandwiches or the fries stole the show. These fries were seasoned to absolute perfection!!! SERIOUSLY! Not the typical sprinkle on top, but seasoned on every single side like someone picked up each fry and hand sprinkled each fry. Think I'm fibbing look at my pic. We ordered a side of queso for dipping and it was so good I wish I had some right now. If you're reading, hear me out Lucky Bun....add tortilla chips and queso to the menu please!!!! I would buy it just to scoop up that delicious cheese. -The Garlic Aioli: why am I highlighting a condiment???? Because!! lol!! It wasn't just standard mayo mixed with garlic powder. You could tell someone actually finely minced fresh garlic and herbs into it. It was so good I couldn't decide whether to dip my fries in the aioli or the queso! So that's why it's in my review! 2. Service The service was exceptional. There was no wait time at all. We walked straight in and were seated immediately. The food came out extremely fast which surprised us since we all ordered completely different proteins. They were speedy but all of our food arrived perfectly warm. The host, a slim gentleman, and our waitress, a lovely young lady rockin locs, were both incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. I'm telling you good service makes the food even better! 3. Restaurant Look and Seating The inside of the restaurant is fairly small, but they maximized the space with multiple tables and a full service bar. They also have outdoor dining and a front waiting area with outdoor furniture, which would be perfect for a nice summer day. You don't even have to ask me because you already know the answer. YES!!! The next time I am in DC, I will specifically make time to go there. Even if I'm not staying in the immediate area, I would gladly take an Uber just to eat here again and so will my family! Make sure you get there too!

Server came by, not so much as a greeting or introduction, just a short, "do you know what you want?" Fine - no problem. We ordered two avocado toasts and side of fries to share. Now, the menu clearly says the avocado toasts are served with a "runny egg". Ok sure, no problem. What i did not anticipate was a half raw egg with the yolk swimming in a sea of translucent completely uncooked "whites". It was like a golden disc encased in a snot rocket. Ok, maybe that's their "runny". Slide it off the toast and press on - snail trail of mucus be damned. The avocado spread was great - bright, citrusy, and well seasoned. The "hot sauce" was likely from a bottle and could have been left off. The radishes would have benefitted from being tossed in lemon, salt and pepper. The image of the "runny" egg was too much so I ate half the toast serving and meandered to the fries. Not bad, crispy , hot, and...wait...sweet...something is off, I can't put my finger on it but at least it's not a raw egg. I keep eating. My kids looks at me and says, "do these remind you of funnel cake?" THAT'S IT - FUNNEL CAKE. We have both had enough, ask for the check. The server comes by gives me the clunky machine, I tap and put it down, he reaches for it and I say, it's processing, I still have to sign...and then he starts snapping his fingers...WHAT IN THE ACTUAL €¥($ ARE WE DOING RIGHT NOW?!? Never again. Never, again.

It only took a quick 10 minutes to receive our entire order, which was 3 burgers, a crispy fried chicken sandwich, loaded fries, and 2 milkshakes! The smashburgers are made with 100% halal beef and they come out HOT with perfectly crispy edges on the patties and a juicy center. We ordered 3 burgers and each of them stood out in their own way. You can get a single, double, or triple patty burger and add whatever toppings to it too. The jalapeño burger was the star of the show, it had a such a nice and spicy kick to it. I wasn't expecting much but this burger had HEAT! Another favorite was the Juicy Lucy. It was packed with grilled onions and the patty was stuffed with cheddar cheese. What I found unique is that for the loaded fries, you can get it with falafel and make it spicy! This time, they had run out of the falafel so I am excited to try it next time.
