Great staff, great service and food was fast and fresh. This is probably one of the best locations I've ever been to considering I travel all over the country. I recommend the truffle burger with sweet potato fries.. quick tip. Try them tossed in olive oil and garlic you will not be disappointed. Terrible food tonight, one of the worst meals I've in a restaurant in my memory. Ordered a BBQ Bacon Cheese Burger. It was dry as ashes, cooked to death, hard, crunchy, just awful. My wife's was similarly terrible. It was late and nobody was in the restaurant. We had no time to send it back and get another. Something has happened to this place. It has all the symptoms of a dying restaurant. Understaffed, cooks who obviously don't know what they're doing, dismal service... Not sure if it's the whole chain or just this franchise. But I have a feeling that in Natick, at least, we'll soon be saying "Fare thee well, Smashburger, we hardly knew ye." read more

Meh is the perfect word. The burger is fine, the fries are generic. The service was awful. There are two other tables occupied and still one of our burgers didn't come out, I went to the register and boy the employee could not have cared less. Then after waiting and everyone else was done eating, a chicken sandwich arrived. I ordered a burger. Bright it back and the employee was aggravated! How dare I want what I ordered. Not sure why decent "fries" garner a four-star review. All the franchise has done is offer fries tossed in olive oil, rosemary, and garlic. The other "features"are you choice of a type of roll, and various toppings. Many of these toppings (for which one pays extra) are the usual types. Two of us went for lunch and each ordered a burger and side. My friend ordered fries, which were unremarkable, I ordered the haystack onions. Well if you want machine coated thin onion rings that are not even close to any local restaurant's decent onion straws try these. I am sorry if you read this as bitter, but a $22 bill for a glorified WENDY'S is tough to justify. If I knew they paid their employees a starting wage of $19/hour and offered benefits, I'd be fine with this price. Fast-food chains try out offerings of the type available here: goat cheese, fried (to death) egg, "artisanal" whatever. I just felt the place was way overpriced for the quality. Like MooYah or Jake's Wayback, these folks over charge for a meal of ground meat with some different offerings for toppings; big deal, I'll not be bothering with this place again. read more

4/24/19 Been to Smash Burger in Natick a few times with my son. They have good food, great shakes. Been a while since our last visit, this time the place was dirty. Entry way smelled like barf, the restaurant floor was greasy everywhere and trash was not picked up. The place needs some elbow grease and attentive staff. The young staff there tonight was not on the ball, clearly not motivated to be there. In a highly competitive market you gotta put in the extra effort or people will find another place for burgers and fries. The chicken sandwich was either over cooked or just old, the burger and fries were fine. "Just OK" isn't going to be good enough when you spend $25 for two on fast food. read more

The food was good because it was different and better than the regular burger joint But the place really needs a manager that cares about keeping it clean On other words I went there on Saturday for lunch and left very disgusted. Been here last Saturday for lunch. Prices are not so convenient for a burger place, but the quality is above average. The waitresses, at least, leave you alone and, after serving your food, just tell you to call them if you need (THANKS GOD!). I would recommend to try the sweet potatoes. We stopped in here for lunch while waiting for our car to finish being serviced over at Town Fair Tire. At first I was a bit skeptical because I thought the menu seemed a bit on the higher end price wise. I was highly satisfied and pleased when I saw this huge cheeseburger with a fried egg appear in front of me. The portion sizes are enough to share with another person and pleasantly filling. The Smash Fries are very tasty and worth getting a large, even if you don't feel like sharing. The service is fast and friendly even when it starts to get busy during a lunch rush they seem to have it under control. I would definitely come back for more when I'm in the area. read more

The staff were friendly. That's the best part. I ordered a burger and smash fries. Fries were luke warm and burger inedible. The bun was chewy; must have just come out of the microwave and the burger tasted rancid. Bgood is no competition for smash burger if anything it gives it more customers we left Bgood and came here way better service and food! What to say about smash burgers...I got the smash cheeseburger w fried egg and smash fries. The burger was very good the veggies were fresh and with the sauce it was a good balance of flavours. But what I noticed is not too much grease that dripped all over the place like 5 guys. The smash fries were very tasty. I also had the vanilla shake which I thought matched up with what I thought was the best shake Ben N Jerry's...sorry BnJ fans. So when u order they give u a number and bring it to your table nice touch. For all you peanut allergy ppl who want a good burger place and not worry about peanuts and peanut oil in the air ahemm(5 guys). We were excited to try this spot. We really wanted burgers and were in the area so this seemed perfect. It was pretty crowded, mostly kids and parents. The menu looked pretty solid, enough attractive toppings for burgers so we were excited. We both ordered burgers,a classic and a custom with smash sauce. I've had better strawberry milkshakes at McDonald's. The one I got here had absolutely no flavor and was watery- not even a milkshake consistency. I got my burger (which was okay, I didn't even eat half before throwing it away) with the haystack onions and they were all just fried batter. I usually visit this location at least 3 times a month and everytime I go absolutley all the employees are unprofessional including the managers. I always order a side of truffle mayo which they always laugh about for some reason. I come to do my research and it is an urban dictionary definition for a sex act. My mouth immediately dropped. Visited Smash Burger with husband and 2 kids today while craving a hamburger. I thought it was outstanding and MUCH better than 5 guys burgers. I had the regular burger with whole grain bun, blue cheese, avocado and fried egg with smash fries (shoestring fries with olive oil, rosemary and garlic). My 16 year old son devoured his BBQ hamburger - faster than usual. My husband's spicy buffalo fries were excellent too. We shared a vanilla hand-spun vanilla milkshake was yummy too. Smashburger in Natick has the friendliest staff. By my second visit, they knew me by name and by the third visit, they new what my order would be. How great is that?! (Especially since I like everything 'on the side'.) The burgers are really tasty. The chicken sandwich is fantastic. I'm not a big fan of the fries (they're the shoestring variety and I'm partial to the crinkle cut type). I think Smashburger is a wonderful place to grab a meal. For this type of place, I'm impressed. Clean, fast, friendly, caring (they even had a non-seasoned burger for my diabetic aunt who needs to eat low-sodium!) Delicious food; just order your dinner the way you want at the register, then sit-down and they deliver it to you within minutes. The fries (regular and sweet potato with rosemary and oil) were fantastic and thin. I just wish the place were less-noisy (loud music), more comfortable with the seating (plastic chairs), and had more artisanal beverage options like cane sugar or specialty-brew sodas (like so many places have these days.) Food is always good. I like the consistency of knowing exactly what to expect.....until tonight. Walked in at 8:10 to find half the dining room closed. I chose to stay and eat even though it looked like they were closing. While eating, they decided to run a floor machine to clean the place. I thought that was really odd. While trying to enjoy a dinner I have booths being slid around, chairs being stacked on tables and this loud machine running. I've been wanting to try Smashburger since I drove by their storefront in October. I signed up for their email club and rec'd coupon for 1/2 off a Salted Caramel Shake, so I went in today for lunch. Had classic burger and substituted American Cheese for Aged Swiss and no onion. Excellent tasty burger. I also ordered their Smashburger fries and they were delicious. I didn't try the shake or any other beverage. They have Honest unsweetened tea on tap & provide nice lemon wedges. They also have other flavors of Honest Tea on tap and in bottles, as well as Coke products from the machine and in bottles. The menu said they had beer, but I didn't see any. The room is small with many two and four seat tables. The place was crowded and there was a wait for a table. There were a lot Smashburger staff there. Keeping the economy rolling...I will definitely be back and will try a shake then. read more
