Yesterday I ate at the smashburger maple Shade location and the scanned the QR code from my phone on there app and I never received credit for my purchase, when I asked the manager on duty why my rewards points did not update they responded that it could take up to 24hrs. This has never been the case in the past or at other restaurants that use the same rewards app, it's always been immediate. I'm back at the same smashburger today spoke with the GM of the restaurant, to no avail said she could do nothing to remedy the situation And offered my a email. I pasted Buffalo Wild Wings and FIVEGUYS to get here and could have very well patron ether one of there restaurants. Very disappointed and I Only came back today to get the problem resolved and to see if the app would work this time. And of course it did. A thin severely overly salted crusty patty covered with minimal fake cheese, a messy pile of pungent red onions, 3 tiny pickles, a single piece of lettuce and a drop of sauce on a lame bun. Yikes! This place has gone down hill. First off, the menu has been reduced and all of my favorite things are gone. No more NJ burger with blue cheese and fried onions. No more buffalo burger. NO MORE FRIED PICKLES. Everything on the menu seems super similar now. I ordered the club with crispy chicken, Brussels sprouts, and my fiancé got the barbecue bacon burger. We waited about 40 minutes to get our food. The burgers seemed about half the size they used to be and honestly could not be more boring or less flavorful. The Brussels sprouts were not seasoned. This location is super great. Their food is always fresh and super yummy. Also, when I was there the other day there was a super rude customer pretty much reaming out the employees. Believe it for not this is the first time for us to dine at Smash, even though we pass it by weekly. We decided to give it a try today and it turned out to be amazing. First of all you've gotta try their smash fries! (Love garlic) We got 2 customized burgers; one with bacon mushroom blue cheese and the Smash sauce, one with bacon avocado and the Haystack onions, both burgers were super delicious, patty was juicy and the seasoning tasted great! Now this is the part that encouraged me to this review, the customer service we received today (Saturday night) was outstanding. So there's fast food, a la Mickey D's and Wendy's, which has been around for awhile, and then there's fast casual, initiated by Chipotle and perpetuated by Panera, Cosi, and the like. Smashburger might be the first to take the burger beyond fast food and bring it in to the world of fast casual - a generational hop that is paying off well. Smashburger has taken over this seemingly doomed restaurant space, and with great prices and great food, I think they're here to stay. As a vegetarian, I'm hesitant about burger places, but friends had been raving about the black bean burger so I knew I was in for a treat. I went for create-your-own, and grilled onions along with the typical cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. It was spicy and delicious. I also had the smashfries, which were ok, but I far preferred the sweet potato fries someone else in my party ordered. I'll definitely be back - every receipt has a coupon for your next visit, which is tricky but genius. My wife had the avocado burger which came with 2 small thin slices nothing like the menu picture and they were rotten on the egdes, I had a basic bacon cheese burger nothing special no taste at all. They only good thing was the milkshakes we had. The total was almost $30 crazy for 2 burgers and one order of fries and milkshakes. We were happy to find out that there was a Smashburger in driving distance from our home in Philadelphia. We used to frequent the one in Cherry Hill before it closed down, and my mom had been talking about missing their burgers, so we were happy to try this location. I ordered on the mobile app for pick up. The nice thing about the app is that you can customize the toppings for your burgers. We ordered 5 classic cheeseburgers customized. Not one of the 5 was correct. 4 out of the 5 had nothing on them except cheese. The worst part was that the burgers all tasted totally over salted. The fries were okay. However, they were very cold and definitely not worth the price they charged for them. I would have to say the one good thing that came from this experience is that nobody in my family will be saying they could go for a Smashburger ever again. I stopped in on my way to work today, the last time I ate here must have been a fluke. I got the buffalo blue burger today and it was delicious! Not greasy at all and the smashfries were great. They even offer buffalo fries now. Another yelper messaged me about a sin city burger. I looked it up today and I'm gonna have to stop back soon to try it! I really like how they serve your meal in metal baskets with paper, much nicer than fast food joints cardboard boxes. They also have actual ketchup and mustard bottles, it's like a real restaurant rather than a fast food place. I decided to try this place on my lunch break as it is only about 6-7 minutes from my work. I had never been to a Smashburger before, so I thought it was time to give them a chance. First off, this place needs more than one person taking orders. The line was almost out the door, but there was only one person who was taking orders and she was doing it very slowly. The line barely moved due to this set up. I probably should have left at this point, but I stuck it out. After about 15 minutes or so in line to wait for the 8 people in front of me to order, it was my turn. I got a burger with blue cheese, haystack onions, and truffle mayo with fries and a drink. I had been watching how long it took for people to get their food, so I ordered it to go. Thank goodness as it took over 20 minutes to wait for my burger. This is where I became very annoyed. I get it that this isn't a fast food restaurant, but it also isn't a gourmet burger place. It just shouldn't take this long. With that being sad, the food was decent. Not good, not great. I think my favorite thing was the truffle mayo. The fries were shoe string fries and not bad, but because they are so small they lose heat fast. The burger was thin, and the bun was greasy which was a little gross. All in all, not a bad burger, but nothing that I would have to go back for. Hubby and I tried Smashburger yesterday. Okay, we're older and had a hard time reading the menu hanging on the wall. So we grabbed some menus and perused them, while letting a lady and her two kids ahead of us. I thought perhaps they were short staffed, because while the guy behind the counter greeted us nicely, it was about 7 minutes of watching him make a shake, check the computer screen, hand bags out to waiting customers, make another drink, and generally run around before he seemed able to take customers' orders. I get a burger with blue cheese and franks red hot (Buffalo Blue Burger?) He gets haystack onions. I get smashburger fries (rosemary and garlic and oil... sounds great, doesn't it?) We don't order drinks.... opting instead for water from the soda fountain. Bill was 19.75. A little pricey, in my opinion. The meal? It was nice. Came to the table quickly, and I must say, I enjoyed everything. Well, almost. Didn't realize that they put mayo on my burger. That was an unpleasant surprise, but entirely my error. Would I go back? The cheese fries were cut so thin they could almost be matchsticks. I know a lot of people like that, but they got cold very quickly. The fried pickles were tasty but EXTREMELY salty. Glad there were free refills on the beverages. All in all the service was fast and pleasant, the food was good, and the price was OK (the two of us ate for under $30). First time at Smashburger as our usual go to Five Guys was closed for remodeling. Overall good experience, burgers were fresh, not greasy. Anyplace that serves tater tots...get extra thumbs up. Dining room was clean and on a Friday night the place was busy. Burger was well put together and presented well. I placed a large online lunch order for our office today. After having bad experiences with our online orders at a few other local quick service restaurants, I was feeling a little skeptical. Let me tell you, not only was the food delicious but the service was BEYOND WONDERFUL!!! The online ordering system was so easy to use, I was able to put our names on each of our orders and keep track of what everyone owed. We had a limited amount of time and everything was ready as soon as we walked in and served to us with a smile! I had called and spoke with Donte about a mistake I had made with one of our orders and he remembered, had corrected it, and the Manager was so great about refunding the $2. I will be recommending this location to everyone I know! In a age where most people in the service industry act like you're inconveniencing them when you ask a simple question, everyone here went above and beyond with a smile! I was so impressed. First time there. Lunch today was the basic grilled chicken sandwich with the fixings and a small order of fries. The sandwich came on a multi grain bun, with lettuce, tomatoes,pickles and mayo. The chicken breast was much larger than the bun and was very tasty. The fries are thin -cut and were cooked perfectly. The only negative was that they were over -salted. This was my first time here..I drive by often but decided to stop in today. First ..being new to this restaurant the cashier was extremely helpful on helping my friend and I decide on our choice. The burgers were freshly made...yes they are a bit pricier then McDonalds but they were also freshly made with a totally fresh not frozen taste. The fries were really good also. THE MANAGER couldn't have been any nicer...he was absolutely so friendly and nice and was actually cleaning the tables himself when he stopped to talk to us.. The only problem i have here (and it's the franchises fault) is that there are only 1 mens and ladies bathroom..they are both single stalls. There are also 2 stores next door that have people coming in here to use the bathroom so when i was done eating i had a woman and her children...and another woman all ahead of me to use the single bathroom. The host, Nicholas, was very rude and it seemed he treated us very differently than the two women before us. He was very courteous and friendly to them and totally opposite towards me and my wife. The food was not that great as we ordered the Baja burger which was missing many ingredients and the vanilla shake had the whip cream despite him (Nicholas) asking 4 times and me telling no each time. Also, the cook yelled at him during our order for which he said it was our fault and told us to finish ordering soon since they were only "1/2 hour" away from closing. Someone in the customer service needs to investigate/teach people at this store how to behave with paying customers or else they will also be closed like cherry hill store. Needless to say we would not be going there and give our business and I am also going to tell friends and family to stop attending all other Smashburger locations due to this experience. I can't say the same for a customer an older woman who was standing against the wall with her hand over her mouth covering her face mask, everyone was 6 feet apart doing the recommended social distancing.
