Had Smashburger for the first time not too long ago and it literally changed my life. This burger place is full of awesomeness and deliciousness. I also first had fried pickles from here and they were amazing. This is one of my favorite lunch spots around work and the most amazing part is that they have a rewards program. I would recommend everyone to download the app and always scan your receipt in the app or at the register because if you spend 100 dollars you get a 10 dollars reward which is pretty awesome! Tastes over processed and bland that they need to mask this with salt. Even if you order a burger with extras and other flavors on top the salt is still overbearing. Terrible for your taste buds and your health. Not only is the food not enjoyable but for the price you could get so many other options for dinner. I had such a taste for smash burger that it would have taken a lot to make me walk out. But on 4/25/22 about 6pm the lovely young lady who I guess was suppose to be at the front, but wasn't at the front, made me walk out faster than I have ever done. We arrived at the order area and waited, while looking around to see if this was self ordering screens or if anyone was around. She looked at us from the side of her eyes, but didn't do anything to acknowledge that we were standing there. Not even a simple "I'll be with you in just a second." After waiting long enough my husband asked her, "How does this work?" because we were so confused. She gave him an annoyed look and with an attitude replied "I'm coming." and looked away. She then finished her conversation with the chef while they both looked like they were doing NOTHING and finally came to the front. By then I was done. I loved their burgers - I got the classic smash burger and the haystack onions. The burger had great flavor and was the perfect size for me. The haystack onions were different than regular onion rings and were delicious. Everyone at my table finished my haystack onions. The restaurant was clean & the service was friendly. I personally love the truffle mushroom Swiss chicken sandwich with the haystack onions, however my husband ordered the barbecue burger with fries. The fries were stale and uneventful. Incredibly dirty. Napkins, food and paper all over the floor. You could see grease drips and greasy fingerprints all over the soda machine. The entire restaurant floor was covered in a thin layer of grease that left everything very slippery. We were seated as far away from the kitchen as you can get and there was still grease everywhere. I don't know if a mop has ever met that floor. One employee saw a spill and put a wet floor sign over it and then walked away. It stayed there for at least 30 minutes and no one showed any signs of making an attempt to clean it. The staff is disinterested and rude. They look at you like it's not their problem you want to order food. Three of the employees were tethered to an outlet so they could continue to ignore the mess and charge their phone. Burger tasted of freezer burn but not meat. The bacon may as well have been raw. I've had a stomach ache ever since we left. Do not eat here as it's incredibly clear they do not care about food safety. The Health Department should step in here. read more

I placed an online order tonight at 7:20pm. I got the confirmation email and realized that I accidentally placed it as a pick up order instead of delivery. I took two minutes to try to find a cancel or update order button in the email confirmation or on the website, which there was none. So I immediately called the store at 7:22 PM and asked them if I could either cancel it and place a new order for delivery or change it to delivery and have them add the delivery fee onto the credit card. The girl on the phone insisted that I could do it on the website and that there was nothing she could do. I spent 4 minutes on hold after which she came back on and confirmed my name. She then said that she wasn't going to cancel it because they already cooked the food. I said there's no way in hell that they cooked that food in two minutes. She had an attitude and said that she wouldn't cancel it because the patties were already on the grill and that there's a lot of other orders coming in and that they were busy. I said cancel the order you can use those patties for another order if you have so many orders coming in. Then they charged my credit card. I have no way of picking up the food because I wanted to order it for delivery to begin with so now I've been charged for food that I never got. This is absurd. If it was cheap I wouldn't care. Smashburger is one of my fav fast food burger joints bc the meat is crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside. I was thrilled when they decided to open one up at Clark Commons. The lines are fast the majority of the time and the staff is friendly. I got the classic smash, smash fries and the husband got the avocado club burger. Both were delicious and flavorful. The Smashburger is nicely seasoned with rosemary, olive oil and garlic. They are thin and crispy. This is not for everyone but I personally love them. My husband prefers a thicker fry. Just ate there on 06/26/18. Ordered a triple burger large fries and a chicken strip kids meal. Every item given was not made fresh and reheated. The chicken strips were hard as stone and fries like rubber. The burger was on the small side and cold. The food was inedible. I don't know what happened. I ate here a while back and it was descent. This location deserve no star. I just came in for smash burger fries and expected to be in and out. There were only 3 guests seated. I only had to wait for one person ahead me to place the order. It took 20 minutes for a french fries. What did they have to do? Grow the potatoes first? Unbelievable. There were at least 3 chefs in the kitchen. What are they doing?! I could've gotten fresh potatoes and cut it up and fry them myself at home and it would've taken less than 20 freaking minutes just to fry French fries!!! I ordered for myself the Double classic burger with Mayo, Katchup, Tomato and pickles as a meal with what I thought would add fries and a drink-yes and I asked for it to be large size(for myself). Then for my daughter I order the same but as a single burger meal Total came to $19.80 No biggie. So the cashier handed me 1 medium sized cup and I asked for my large cup she said...Oh I only charged you for 1. So she started ringing me up for a fry and drink for the 2nd meal which came to $7+ At this point i'm confused because I specifically asked for 2 combo meals with 1 being upsized, and there was no way I'd be paying for a fry and regular sized drink and I already was paying $19.80. She gave me a big attitude and huffed and puffed, turned around to her co-worker and they both rolled their eyes when I said I need both cups. Because of the unprofessionalism of someone who appeared to be a supervisor of Manager and the cashier, I asked for my money back. I ordered on line...I ordered the CLASSIC COBB Fresh greens, blue cheese, sharp cheddar, fried egg, applewood smoked bacon, tomatoes & onions with buttermilk ranch dressing it was horrible...i ordered with it the crispy chicken it was so loaded with grease it made me sick I couldn't eat it. There was very little to non GREENS in the salad. for $7.99 I've had way better cobb salads from other places. Fries were crispy and not over-salted. My order was ready shortly after it was ordered at the register. Previous experience- Online ordering experience: I used Smashburger's online ordering service to arrange a pickup within 20 minutes of ordering. I ordered a truffle mushroom swiss chicken sandwich with smash fries and a PB&J shake. I've never tried Smashburger before. Ordering and pickup: The online ordering process went well, the interface is nothing great. Upon reaching the location at the requested pick up time, patrons are corralled on the line to the registers. Once I got the register, I was told I could wait over by the waitstaff area to pickup my order. It would've been nice to know this before wasting time on the line. The pickup area is right next to the area waitstaff picks up food from the kitchen. There's no barrier between the customers and the waitstaff there, and I think this adds to the confusion since customers, including myself, were constantly walking up to the waitstaff and asking about orders, and adding to the disorganization at the pick up area. My shake was ready right away, but the rest of the order took a bit more time to complete, about 10 more minutes than I'd anticipated, including the time I wasted waiting for my turn at the register. When I was finally presented with my food, the fries that I ordered were missing, and they stated that it wasn't a part of the ticket that they had. I showed them the email invoice from Smashburger, which included the fries, and they quickly corrected that discrepancy. Food: They got my order correct, so that's a plus. Truffle mushroom swiss chicken sandwich - chicken was a bit salty and very, very thin. The toppings, which all have very mild flavors, were overpowered by the saltiness of the chicken breast. Overall: I'd give them 2.5 stars, but Yelp only allows whole star ratings. I'll give them the benefit of a doubt since it's a new location. The food was OK, the service was good, if a bit disorganized, particularly with regard to things like signage. Man I've got this love/hate relationship with Smashburger. I love them because I love their food - their burgers are fantastic and even their salads are really good. I like that I can put a burger patty on their salads and not just boring grilled chicken if you don't feel like it. But yo...their service straight up is awful. On my last trip it was having to repeat my order over 2 times (I think the girl was new and I can understand that any new job is going to a learning experience) and then waiting like 15-20 minutes. Now I know if I wanted real fast then I'd need to go to the golden arches, but 20 minutes for a salad with a thin cooked beef patty is just ridiculous.
