I was craving a chili dog and was close enough to a Smashburger to make a stop. I went to place my order in the app and saw that I had a reward that was expiring that same day. But when I tried to use it, I got an error. I continued to drive to the location and ended up placing my order in person there, and I realized why the reward wasn't working in the app: it only worked for a "meal deal" and I wasn't getting that. I mentioned this to the person who took my order and he called the manager over who applied the discount for me. I was so appreciative! This chili dog was delicious too. When most of the people in line in front of you are waiting for their food or asking for a refund, run! I live close to this location, but never stopped by before. Usually I am not a big burger eater, don't eat fries, but like hot dogs. As I walked inside, I noticed it was pretty packed for Sunday lunch. But I also noticed most people didn't have any food in front of them. The workers were doing their best, but there is some major hole in the ordering system. I ordered using the app and on the drive over, I was even told my order was ready even earlier. Well that was wrong. I was told by the head worker that their system isn't working right. I also noticed he was making shakes, giving refunds, handing out orders, and trying to calm people down. The food itself was ok. My classic American Smashburger had an excellent patty, melted cheese, good pickles and onions, and a toasted bun. However, I asked for smash sauce and lettuce and got neither. Being the only table occupied on at Saturday at noon is never a good sign. The only good thing about this place is the service. Food was unfortunately not good, patties on hamburger were way too salty, the buns were literally cold, as in they went straight from the bag to the burger. Picked this spot to dine in before a movie next door at Regal and this did the trick. We ordered two classic smash burgers (single), garlic herb fries, and a banana strawberry milkshake. All food came out at a reasonable time. The store is fairly clean and so are the bathrooms which they have two unisex stalls. The smash burger's best attribute has to be the soft bun. Other than that, we didn't order a specialty burger and there wasn't anything worth noting for this classic burger. The garlic herb fries came out super hot and fresh but these fries were not our favorite. Heavy on the garlic flavor and shoestring fries just ordinary. The milkshake was awesome. It also seemed liked all the employees were still in training. There was a problem with my transaction and I was told there was no one present in the restaurant to fix the issue. The staff at this location are friendly but this location is chronically understaffed or poorly managed or both. The food is generally dependable but consistent with what you would expect from Smashburger. The order accuracy is also hit or miss as far as customizations. The biggest issue at this location is that the wait times are regularly extensive and frankly unacceptable. I've sometimes waited 5-10 minutes just to be acknowledged at the register and frequently waited 30-60 minutes to receive an order while the kitchen was backlogged and overwhelmed. In such cases, one would think they would be more apologetic or offer any sort of customer service gesture, but alas, that is not the case. Smash burger review We have been looking around for a quality burger place in the area and Smash Burger checks all the boxes! The service was fast and friendly, the food was freshly prepared and made to order, and the restaurant itself was well decorated and clean! The Colorado burger was packed with flavor and might be the best burger I've had all year. The garlic fries were crispy and well balanced with a subtle hint of garlic. The cookies and cream milkshake (unfortunately not pictured) because it was finished before we got home was very tasty and not too thick or runny like some of the other places I've had. I don't think i've ever left a review on yelp but had to for this place. I've never been at a more poorly run, unorganized restaurant in my life. They took my order and told my girlfriend and I 15 minutes. It took over an hour for two burgers and fries. There was no disclaimer when we ordered that they were severely slow or that it would take forever. Before getting my food they gave me a "$10 Smash Cash" gift card that is invalid because it expired in 2024. We then finally got the food and made it home to find out that it was unbelievably mid. As mediocre of a burger imaginable. Five guys or any other quick service burger place is 10x the quality and service. Hard to believe this place is in business with this level of service. All of this could be avoided if they gave customers some sort of disclaimer that they are operating severely slow. Instead they said nothing and made people and multiple families wait an hour or more. Several people requested refunds, i'm not sure if they were successful. After Jennifer, the cashier, helped the person in front of me, I told her I wasn't ready yet. When I was ready, I went to the front and she just looked at me. No greeting, smile, or any comment. I placed my order and there was barely any communication from her end. Maybe it's because she doesn't like her job and has an AirPod on. She was nice when I asked to customize my burger. The burger was juicy, cheesy, and almost as good as ShakeShack. However, the milkshake was milky, as if it were watered down. You know when you walk into a place and it's empty that's usually not a good sign. However I already committed and really didn't feel like finding another place to go for dinner. Now there were plenty of people working behind the counter! I walked up to the counter and the person who was working could have used a little lesson on customer service.
