AT&T suggested I mail it to the insurance company and spend $300 for a new phone, losing all my passwords, etc. These guys did it in a day for less than $200. Works better than it did before! We were in Destin for vacation, our sons iPad dropped and the screen was shattered. I called to get a quote ($167.XX) for a iPad 6 generation. Turn around time 24-48 hours. I called at the 48 turn around time. The screen was replaced and ready for pick up that evening however the touchscreen was not working properly. I called to let them know the issue and the gentleman said "I was trying to get you by, when you come back we'll fix it correctly." In addition to that we were required to pay in advance. But seriously if you don't have the part, have to pay in advance. You should not tell customers it's 24-48 turn around time. We took it to a local place in the area we live, they said the screws were not put in correctly. read more

Bottom line: fixed it quickly but repair did not last. Badly cracked my iPhone XR's screen while on vacation they fixed it the same day for about $190 yay!! However, less than a month later without warning and with out damage the screen started to have areas of dead pixels. I took it somewhere local where they replaced the screen for far less and they also stated the replacement screen had not been installed properly read more

Absolutely terrible service. DO NOT USE AS THEY ARE SCAMMERS. We were on vacation and our son broke his screen. We went to this place as they had good reviews and they said we need to pay in full and would have to order the screen which would be in the next day. Well,, throughout the week I kept calling to see if it arrived and no was always the answer and expect the next day. At the end of the week we were leaving and the guy stated we would be refunded our money, this was in April beginning and today I received a letter stating smartphone fixit repaired the screen of the phone. When I cracked the screen to my only Phone, I knew I had to do something quick. I chose Smartphone Fixit, because of their great yelp reviews and I am sure glad I did! They had me in and out in a Jif with no hassles or hidden fees. I was able to enjoy the shops at the commons while they repaired my phone. A morning I was dreading turned into an enjoyable one. extremely unprofessional. I went on a thursday to have my charging port replaced but the guy working that day didn't know how to fix it and told me to leave it overnight or bring it back the next day so the other technician who knows what he's doing can fix it. I went back the next day and when I got there the booth was empty, so I waited for about 15mins for the tech to return. when he did return he shuffled around the both for another 15mins ignoring me until I tapped on the glass to ask for help. when he finally opened the window he greeted me with attitude like I was bothering him. when I explained why I was there and what was wrong with my phone he seamed troubled by it and unsure what to do and told me he can't get to it right now because he hasn't eaten lunch yet and it could take several hours. it also is advertised that it cost $50 to replace the charging port and he charged me over $100 to run a test even though I told him everything works fine I just need a new charging port installed. horrible verbal skills and not good with the public. will NOT go back. read more

Employees need considerably more training. My iPhone 5 locked up (Apple logo on screen). Took the phone here after speaking to a company rep on the phone verifying it's a easy fix. The tech looked my phone a few minutes and said he can't do anything. So being here from Michigan for 4 weeks I had to go to ATT and get a new phone. When I got home I took my 5 to a local repair place called iCare and they fixed it in 30 minutes and for $25. Long story short Smart Phone Fix It cost me $750. Thanks for nothing. ZERO stars. Like the other poor ratings, I too had an EXTREMELY NEGATIVE experience. This business is a SCAM. It is run UNETHICALLY, and it DOES NOT BELONG AT DESTIN COMMONS. The owner is extremely RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and DOES NOT STAND BY THE WARRANTY. My phone was brought in with a cracked screen, which was replaced. The same day, the screen started shorting, texting people without me, calling contacts without me touching the screen, and disabling. I brought the phone back and it was replaced. The same problem started again, except this time the screen goes black and has a fuzzy halo around the border - I NEVER HAD ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS BEFORE BRINGING THE PHONE THERE! The owner and technician told me it was my fault because of my Otter case or the phone's internal problem. They took no responsibility. The owner said "there's nothing I can do" and refused to fix the screen or refund the charge -even though the phone is under the 30-day warranty!! Instead, he raised his voice, talked over me, and hung up on me. This business is a SCAM - CUSTOMERS HAVE TO PAY BEFORE THE WORK IS DONE and the owner does not abide by the warranty. THEY NEED TO BE REMOVED FROM DESTIN COMMONS. read more

No! No! No! Go somewhere else. The same long haired blonde with a ponytail waited on us. He stated the price was $55 for a "digg" (there is no such thing as a digg) then if the screen was defective he would apply that to the $129 charge of a new screen. The "digg" would take one hour. We returned in 30 minutes and he was outside smoking. He replaced the screen and charged us $129 plus the $55. We called the owner and he promised to refund us the $55. But he did NOT. The next time we were in Destin we went to the storefront and asked for our $55 and got it. I'm surprised Destin Commons would allow this type of service. read more

I went in to get my screen replaced so I can take it to my carrier and get a new phone. I expected this to be a pleasant experience but it went south--- quickly. I went back to pick up my phone and my screen was replaced with another cracked screen. The guy who replaced my screen (blond ponytail) thought he was going to pull a fast one on me and not tell me the screen was defective. As soon as I said something his response was something like "I don't have another one to replace it with." Well, wouldn't you think to tell me you didn't have one instead of replacing my screen with an equally cracked screen. He did not apologize but made excuses for his bad business. Terrible customer service. I asked for a refund and his response was "It's going to take 3-7 business days". I work in the customer service industry and if I EVER mess anything up, I take FULL responsibility and I do anything to make it right. I was terrified to give him my phone back to get my old screen back on because he seemed sketchy enough to mess it up further more. read more
