INEXPERIENCED TECHICIANS THAT WILL COST YOU MORE IN THE END!…read more I called them to come assess our washing machine, hoping to fix it or identify the issue in order to avoid buying a new unit after moving into a new home. The technician arrived and advised me to replace some bolts which should fix the pro lem. If not then purchasing a new unit would be the next step. We did as advised and it still didn't work- forcing us to buy a new washing machine. After purchasing and installing the new unit- we discovered the bolts he advised us to replace were in fact the shipping bolts. I would hope that a technician coming to assess a piece of equipment, given the model number/year of the machine in advance would be able to identify what SHIPPING BOLTS were. After explaining this to the manager they refused to refund the $50 fee for the error on his technicians part. Your better off going on YouTube to find a solution rather than calling their inexperienced technicians. The manager blamed us for the mistake in the end which only made the situation worse.

The first guy had quoted $1200 for the repair. Real Appliance Repair looked at the refrigerator and quoted $200 less but also pointed out that while the refrigerator itself only had a 1 year warranty, the compressor causing the issue might still be covered. He suggested I call LG before doing anything else. I called and the compressor was under warranty with parts and labor fully covered! Not only was the quote $200 less than the original company, Real Appliance Repair pointed me in the direction that will get things repaired at no cost to me. Literally saved me $1000! Highly recommended!

Steve with Protection Appliance Service helped us locate a stove top knob for our "new" stove top…read more Initially, when I was cleaning the stove I thought some white and thick food item spilled on the knob and hardened on the knob. Actually, the white substance came from something hot sitting next to it and melted the knob. You probably ask, "how can that be with a new, metal knob?" Actually that was my exact question. News flash: The knob was made out of plastic. It looks like stainless steel and you could not tell for how much we paid for the stove top that it was plastic. However, all those knobs are plastic. Fortunately, Steven tracked down two of the knobs...we replaced one and have one in reserve. I suppose it's no different than the evolution of cars. We went from cars made from steel to cars made from fiberglass. There is even plastic in car interiors these days. Many high-end cars no longer have leather. It's called other things but is faux leather (vegan leather, sustainable leather, vinyl leather and pleather). Many cars have "vegan" versions of expensive materials like wood and leather. The knob has been replaced. The stove top is back to it's original state. Steve always performs at a very high level and we have been pleased with his service.

I am updating this review. When I came on Yelp and left a review, William the owner, sent me a…read moremessage that I shouldn't have taken the discount claiming I have "taken money and left him a bad review." Let me be VERY clear about he operates. He does not tell you before coming out that he is going to offer you two separate prices. He tells you that it is a $99 fee for him to come out, but if you use his services he applies that to the payment. So once he is there, you are obligated to $99. This is a pretty typical arrangement for appliance repair/maintenance. That was not an issue. Once he arrived and looked at the issue, THAT is when he says, okay this is how much it is. BUT if you leave me a 5 star review I will give it to you for THIS amount. I have shared screenshots of the interactions. Now ALSO I want to be clear that when I agreed to leave a 5 star review, he sent me a link to review him on Google. And I DID leave him a 5 star review there, which I still have not edited at this time. So I 100% did what he directed me to do. How fair is it though that you are roped into a 5 star review for a discount, even if you feel the experience was not worth 5 stars. Who is going to say, well okay, let me just pay you more so I am free to leave an honest review of your service. That is ridiculous. And he mentions something about waiving taxes. If he did that, it was on his own accord. All I said was that if he took $50 off it would not be the quoted amount because the invoice he originally sent was more than $50 over what he said it would be if I left a 5 star review. Reviews are NOT an advertisement. Reviews should be UNBIASED reflections of customers' experiences. And to box customers into 5 star reviews by charging more if they don't leave you 5 stars is VERY dishonest. Customers often rely on reviews when deciding where to do business and spend their money. If I had known this about this company, I would absolutely not have done business with them. So I am sharing this on YELP, because I kept my commitment and left a 5 star Google Review) so that others are able to avoid this experience as well. Oh, and guess what - he was out in March, we are now about 3 months out and my dryer has stopped heating AGAIN because he never actually fixed it properly to begin with. We will of course reach out to another company for service - one that does not pay for their reviews (because let's be honest, that is what he is doing).

I'm absolutely stunned at all the five star reviews, as my experience has been awful. Ben came to…read moreour home, dx'ed the issue on our leaking fridge, ordered the part, and "fixed" it. He also told me we had a 1 year warranty. About a week after the fix, the fridge is still leaking. I reach out to Ben multiple times, nothing. Finally get a response that he's been in the hospital but if I defrost my fridge, that'll probably fix it. Fair enough, people get sick, thanks for the response. So now I've defrosted my fridge twice, in the process throwing out good food. That didn't work either. Reach out to Ben again - nothing. I call, I text, I text again, I call again, I leave a voicemail...nothing. I finally decide to call him from my work phone and SURPRISE he answers on the first call. He schedules me for last Friday but gets "stuck in Bee Cave". Then asks me to send him pictures of the fridge model sticker so he can order the parts. I've done that, followed up now another 5 times via text and calls...nothing. I guess I'm on his do not respond list bc he doesn't want to fix the issue that we've already paid him $400 for but at this point I'm just going to pay someone else who will actually answer their phone to come clean up the mess. Awful customer service.
