Nonetheless, it's fun to walk in to see just what band shirts are left displayed on the ever so shrinking wall. (Soon this place will be all anime/funko/hello kitty crap, but isn't that what their sister store is? But I digress...) It's hard to browse this tiny store when in the span of less than 5 minutes I'm asked 3 separate times by the SAME employee if I'm "finding everything ok?" "Looking for a particular item?" "Doing alright, any questions?" I get customer servicing and helping the people in the store, but three times in 5 minutes? Come on now. That's aggressive, annoying and obnoxious. After the first "I'm fine, thanks" just leave the customer be? The store is small enough where if anyone has a question you don't have to walk too far to ask. The layout is simple and it's easy to navigate on your own. There's not much in the store to begin with. It was very off putting to say the least. If I didn't have a 50% off coupon I would of left. Trust that your customers are not lying when they say they are okay, and don't treat them like they're about to shoplift whenever they touch anything.

It had reflection of a Seattle store, Archie Mcphie. I don't know If the two are related, but I don't know if Archie even exists anymore. I used to do their parking lot sale, but when they ended it 15 years ago, I stopped shopping there as that was the only way to pay a reasonable price for items imported in bulk from China. A lot of displays and boxes here were empty, I don't know if they had a holiday run or are just bad at restocking, but I reached for a few things that just were there. They had some cool Olympia based items and a fair amount of pop culture and although not cheap, the pricing was fair and based on the thrift shops we visited, the kind of stuff that holds our attention was cheaper here than it was second hand in other places. At the end of the day, there was nothing here we had to have so we left empty handed. Every city needs a store like this. If merch was stocked , we certainly would have bought something.

Blue appears to be the product of someone sifting through donations and determining these items can sell retail. Ceramic mugs at $12.99? This is Goodwill and if someone gave you that for free, why are you charging $13 for an item that would be a max of $3 at a reputable thrift shop and truth be told, most thrift shops sell mugs for $.99. I saw a few things here I liked, but when I saw the pricing, I just laughed, I wouldn't pay their asking price if the same items were new. I was also offended while attempting to shop here. I was the only one in the store and the woman was doing something in the corner. As I starting browsing near the entrance, I felt crowded and when I looked up, the woman working there, had apparently decided to spruce up the area I was looking at. It was a poorly timed and placed attempt to discourage shoplifting, but I am a mature, educated man with more than enough money and if I had to guess, I donate thousands of dollar's worth of merchandise to Goodwill annually and are a little peeved then they don't provide coupons or vouchers for large donations. Actually, in the last year, I started donating to a place in Bellevue, they give either 10% or 15% off your bill when you donate and even though, I don't always find anything to purchase, at least I know my donation is appreciated. This woman made me so uncomfortable following me around, I left. It was a nasty atmosphere and not typical of the once Hippy Vegan vibe I would get visiting Olympia. Shame on your Goodwill, I expect far better from you in many ways.

It's not your typical GUESS store you see in big malls but it's a smaller, affordable, different kind of Guess (hence the different kind of G in the picture).
