My boyfriend and I travel a lot both domestically and internationally. However, this was our first…read moretrue bed and breakfast experience, and we weren't quite sure what to expect. Our expectations were well exceeded!
We drove in from New Orleans for a wedding in nearby Honey Grove, TX - We didn't know the area well at all, and weren't sure when we could check-in so reached out on the Air B&B app. Responses were almost instant, and our hosts were very helpful in planning our itinerary. They greeted us at the door after the long 8 hour drive with a smile!
The space is intimate, and I would say a museum of vintage decor, with a beautiful dining area where breakfast is served.
We stayed in the Magnolia Room which was similarly decorated, and consisted of a study, a bedroom, and a bathroom (with two bathtubs!). It was very clean, stocked with extra towels, blankets, pillows, and bathroom necessities (soap, shampoo, conditioner, AND BUBBLE BATH etc.). The bed was VERY comfortable well.
We had the choice of breakfast in our room or downstairs, so the first morning we had breakfast in our room (which made us feel like a king and queen), and the second we had breakfast in the dining area with our host Thomas. The food was wonderful in terms of both taste and presentation. (Instagram worthy)!
We were extremely impressed with our stay, and would highly recommend to anyone passing through or visiting the area! We will be back!
